I just enjoy that the workers on the giant rolling death machine are wearing safety gear.
one of the funniest quicklooks i've seen. this game seems like its put out about 15 years to late, but for 15 bucks. sold it seems like a fun ride.
I like how casual and curious Marlow sounds when you start playing. He's taking to this 'back from the dead' thing really well! And he's not even bothered that his friend is presumably still in the hands of murderers. What a chill dude.
Black Dynamite meets DMC. I can dig it.
Ridiculously good set pieces for a budget game, sheesh.
It doesn't seem like they had a low development budget, except in some animations. Probably mostly they had a really quick timeline.
This looks like a 90's action movie in video game form... do want.
Loving all the Quick Looks!
Indefenistrable? So apparently you can't throw that giant airship out a window...
9 years later and this game still slaps. That's assuming you get it to work on your PC.
I've never seen so many explosions in my life, wow.
There is actually a historically chronicled ball game in south/central america that is probably what is being referenced around 35:00
Marlow sounds like Pierce...is that Saint's Row's Pierce?
The ambition is there, but it's obvious the team didn't have either the time or money (or experience for that matter), to see it through.
Marlow's got a serious case of Booker-hands.
Finally, the sequel to Akuji the Heartless everybody's been waiting for.
Just as I was getting in the mood for a silly Hack n' Slash romp,
might as well give this one a go instead of firing up DMC3 or MGR for the billionth time.
This doesn't look like a bad game by any means just needed fine tuning. I don't know if it was ever in early access but if it wasn't it seems like something that could of benefited from it.
Okay, how does "games what have a light attack and a heavy attack where there is a distinct main character who kills stuff" sound?
To be fair, it's a well put together mess and while I hate this genre I'd play this one for a laugh.
At the beginning it looked like some kind of Uncharted knockoff. The girlfriend even looks like a tanner, brunette Elena. Then the mask guy from Banjo-Kazooie possessed you or something and it became God of War and now I don't know what to think. Most of the voice acting is ok, though.
Surely the panning camera cutscenes are simply because they ran out of animation budget at some point.
The asian guy voiced Po's dad in Kung Fu Panda.
I'm a fan of "stylish hard action game," myself. Still, I thought "character action" referred primarily to those third-person action games that focused on fighting systems (i.e. the character) over set-pieces and stories.
"15 dollars" fair enough.
I'd watch you guys play through this.
Great QL of a average Hack and Slash, I'll wait for a steam sale. I've got plenty of other games to beat till then.
really good for a 15 $ game
iv heard this game starts to address that it knows its a bad god of war knockoff about half way through, so it could be funny
Man, it's getting to the point where every black guy is now being voiced by Khary Payton.
If Michael Bay is watching this, I bet he is rock hard.
This is truly JOJO's bizarre Adventure
Garshasp!
This looks so bad that it's good!
God of Devil May Cry?
Yeah, let's get back to calling them God of War or Devil May Cry Clones.
It's a mess but I like it, racial stereotypes and all.
Dunno. Even for $15, with Steam sales and the steady torrent of great, cheap indie games coming out, "kinda OK" doesn't really cut it anymore. If you can't throw millions of dollars at it, you'd better try to do something new and innovative.
This lazy game is at least five years late to the party.
You guys don't know about Aztec culture do you.
