i love how your kid is interested. I'm a big crafter and it's interesting to see how my little brother has sort of seen that and developed it into things that he likes. so now he loves crafting things for his room and comes up with his own room decor, but video game and movie themed.

I like how you showed your lantern with another frame at the bottom.I recently saw someone put hinges on the door so it could open and close. That way they could easily switch out the things inside of the lantern. Every time I see this project it gets nicer and nicer. I love it!

You did a REALLY good job and your son is soooo adorable. What a helper he is. When he called you mama I about cried. My boys called me that when they were that age and I used to make things with them. They grew up to be super creative. You are a good mom!!! 💕

Bravo to your little helper he did a good job🤗👏, and your decorations are beautiful😍👍👏 I wish people wouldn't say that people are stealing from each other, we are sharing from each other I consider us as family, I've looked at many different lanterns each one is different and beautiful that each of us make, we get ideas and make it our own, it would take all day to call out a person's name, because Mary did it Jane did it John did it Keisha did it Maria did it Kimberly did it,etc what we can say is I got this idea from another UA-camr but this is how I'm going to make mine, it's not stealing its sharing for everyone to make😏 anyway this Lantern is beautiful this morning I saw three other UA-camrs make lanterns all were very pretty, so now I think I'll make one and I'm thanking them all for sharing and I will see what I can come up with so someone else could take my idea sorry I mean share my idea

JUST STUNNING!!!!! I have never seen this done before. I am going to attempt this----however I do not expect such beautiful results as you got CupnCakesGourmet---LOL I have the lights that are at Dollar Tree now since it is Halloween. They have lots of different ones---even Christmas colored little beaded ones are out now--SO I just may use a set of colored ones. Thank you for sharing and I am going to TRY this!!!!!!!

Like the idea for lantern however hot glue doesn't adhere well over time and should have used E6000 and little hot glue for instant hold. Also the top would have been nice to use foam board or cardboard (Painted black of course)with the picture frame pieces for finished product look and careful with the hot glue to look neat and decorate the top. Flameless candles need to be used with this kind of top (safer anyway). Decorate the top with greenery and pinecones etc. I like the idea of hinges for one side to open and close as needed.

Great idea using picture frames. However you won't be able to burn that candle in there, too dangerous, don't need it anyway with the battery powered lights. To be safe I'd stick to just the battery powered lights in there only.

Very easy to do. However, I would probably use superglue or another strong bonding agent to glue it, since Id like for it to be sturdy. I like your method of instruction. Kudos to you.

Naughty cross-patch Kandace - but didn't you notice that The Pixie Dust Housewife didn't give credit to the original designer of the square lantern? Nor all the previous tutorials on making a lantern! Nor did she mention the first person to put a how-to craft video on UA-cam. Or the idea of using a sticky substance to 'glue' things together . . . I loved this original design and the talented craft team! Thanks for sharing your ideas!
