@ericship8383 That maybe true but I'm confidant that American-made Czinger 21c would beat both the AMG One and black series on the ring.
@@tiersofemotion222
What's the relevance of that? Ford charges a huge amount of money for a car that will struggle to beat a GT3RS. Can I also point out that if the car now runs below 6:57, the 2025 track changes also makes for a faster track?
The conditions the AMG Black set the time in was piss poor to say the least.
@@AB-80X Who has more experience on that track in Germany Ford or Mercedes & Porsche?
What country is Mercedes & Porsche factory based in?
If you think experience has nothing to do with anything lol ohh buddy.
@@AB-80X What do you mean what is the relevance of the Czinger 21c beating those cars it's so yall can shut up about this American Car stereotypes in the car community.
Great car, but price over $300,00 is for the few to enjoy and the many to give opinions.
The car is fast, but lets be honest here and talk about the fact that Ford hired a ALL STAR professional driver to set that time, and worked on the cars configuration to set the time. Will the GTD be at the top of LIGHTNING LAPS leaderboard? Will a 815hp track focused car beat a 1064np ZR1 that cost less and has a actual GTLM production chassis? The AMG GT Black series is a faster car according to the ring with less horsepower AND ITS ABOUT THE SAME PRICE.
Dirk races for Multimatic, every other car tested is driven by a professional German racer or someone else so why does it matter?
The Mustang is a front engine car bro, stop looking for a reason not to give Ford their credit. That Mustang is also new to this race, those other cars been racing this for years
@@BruceDragon-sf1trso is the AMG black series…
@7419sundat And Mercedes been racing this track for years.
You people are some toxic people to not give Ford their credit.
@@BruceDragon-sf1trAMG have only the gt platform as a serious track platform they're still relatively new to this and look what they did in their early attempts with the AMG GTr even though that was the old layout
All the numbers don’t mean anything cause it depends on the driver, weather conditions, and everything else and if he was going in a straight line
Hi Speed Phenom 😀
Every year they change and fix a part of the track so lap times will never be perfect judging them from year to year wont really work unless both cars go when the track is the same theres gunna be a difference could ve fast ir they could change something that make the lap slower
What I don't understand why its such a big deal ? Yes it did sub 7 Mustang... but its purpose built 815 horsepower full aero track car with a license plate attached to it ?... so its better to be fast ???.... Every single purpose built built race car will do sub 7...
Its an impressive feat and im tired of the internet trying to poo poo their run.
Reminds me of Ford vs Ferrari...Ford vs Porsche.
Everyone is going to have their opinion about it and that's fine. Nothing wrong with it. But to run sub 7 minutes on the Ring is hauling a$$ plain and simple. It was dumb for Jim Farley to make the whole "beating Europeans" remark. Because there's always going to be someone faster than you. But this is an achievement by BOTH Ford and Multimatic. It's nice to see more manufacturers accomplishing this feat rather than the usual suspects. It's not easy plain and simple. If it was everyone would have done it by now.
There are so many variables its an absurd benchmark.
It was definitely wet in places, you could see it pretty clearly during the lap.
@@YurrNext Did you watch the onboard footage or the video made by Ford?
@powerslider30477 Onboard of course.
@@YurrNext There were no wet patches in the onboard footage. Only the dramatic video made by Ford showed wet patches as they did a media session in the rain.
@@YurrNext The onboard video from the official Nürburgring channel showed no wet patches, the track was dry.
@powerslider30477 Not to my eyes, looks like there was definitely moisture in the track still. I've done over 50 laps there and the surface is definitely darker than usual. It's just my opinion, but we will see when they come back in the spring.
May have a 6 min 40 something in it
Porsche also isn't running stock times so I don't take their times seriously to begin with.
They are. The tyre you get on a GT3RS is the same tyre you get on the car.
What are you in about? Sport auto ran a 6:55 in a stock gt3 rs which is only 10 seconds slower than the manufacturer lap time by your logic the gtd ain’t stock either
Everything that was on the cars which Porsche use to set lap times at Nordschleife is available as an option to customers, barring the driver's seat .
I love how you think Ford has a chance and call everyone else like people such as Misha an idiot. He knows more than you bud.
This being referred to as a mustang is a joke! Just like ford branding a crossover a mustang. Only difference is that you can obtain the crossover. I think this car is brilliant! I think this car will be very good at everything they threw at it! Call it whatever, just quit bench racing the damn thing and prove all the nay sayers wrong
Yes. .know we're talking. Go ford.
More impressed. I believe there are 10 less seconds in the GTD on a dry warm track.
It was dry, just not really warm.
Deluded
At max there are 2.5 seconds more in the vehicle. The video shows the race path was dry and it was a hot day. The driver took the correct race path which was dry and made 3 clean timed passes. The first 2 were sub 7.
Are you disappointed you ordered one? Personally it's not worth anywhere near 300k. Not enough hp for me for that kind of cash.
It's a literally 120,000 cheaper than a brand new 2024 Porsche GT3 RS
Not enough HP?? It’s over 800 from the factory
Mod it
If they resale like the Ford GT, in about 2 years, he will double or triple his money for a long time. 2005-06 Ford GTs are going for over double their sticker price and are not depreciating still to this day. That's not even taking into account how the GTD handles and looks. If I had one, I wouldn't ever want to sell it.

Speed Phenom Great Video I think it's awesome that the Mustang GTD would be around 5 seconds faster around the old Nurburgring Nordschleife layout and I can't wait to see how much faster it can be
It won't be.
@AB-80X we'll see
Haha... Porsche is not impressed! ^^
It's simple, " do it again". Tired of the its this or that, just like the z06 bogus time , Chevy needs to send a driver out and so does Ford. They had the track all DAY and got nothing done.
I know this video is focused on the Mustang GTD but wouldn’t this mean that the Corvette Z06 time is also faster lap time? What would you say the lap speed would be on the Z06 when comparing the old/new lap times.
what a joke how all u people yapping about some seconds when u would get trashed by a stock e36 328 with a pro driver even if u would drive in any of those cars GTD, GT2, AMG or whatever
Like the great Misha always says driver excuses 🤣😂🤣 I would still take the GT3 RS😁😎
GT3RS 6:49.328 at the longer configuration. P.S. The Blk Series was actually with damp conditions not that slow "Mustang"
Go back to kindergarten... The temperature was 60° f + Dew Point of 60 = saturated air and condensation on track surface 👍

Buddy you have no clue what your talking about. Look at the video 62⁰ F and Dew Point of 60, relative humidity near 100%
That creates a moist track surface. It's it hard to understand. There's literally Fog, clouds and damp surfaces shown in the video learn how weather works lmao! You're literally arguing with every person familiar with the cars, track and conditions but you believe your own special facts lol.
