  • I share with you guys how to make a Psychedelic Rock song inspired by Tame Impala's album 'Innerspeaker'. I had been wanting to make one of these for a long while now and finally got around to it. Please don't take tese videos too serious- I'm just having fun, Ya'll. But if you have to take anything from these videos, I hope it's positive. Enjoy!

    The vocals feel very similar to Julee Cruise and that's a big compliment, rest in peace

    3/4 is one of the signatures I use the most, but because I used to compose lots of waltzs back in the day, no idea it was also used on modern music! Loving the vibe on this one, keep it up man, and don’t be afraid to take your time. It’s ok if we have to wait for longer videos, we won’t leave. Your stuff is worth it 🤜

      Are 3/4 time signatures usually used for this type of music? Sorry I’m a noob

    • @thelawsonman
      @thelawsonman 3 місяці тому

      @@jairoc2425 i think 4/4 is still more commonly used, but you could play with the time signatures.
      Psych-rock is really open to using a lot of them in one song.

      Thanks, Frontman! I don’t do anything special to be honest. What kinda noise are you talking about?

    • @Frontman15G
      @Frontman15G Рік тому +1

      @@bananalabs then its probably because of my not so good gear haha.For me(especially with my bass) i have a lot of noise that is in the recordings.FOr my guitar it gets notiable when i use any little amount of distortion,thats also why i never use it since its so loud, was just wondering since your is so clean..

    • @bananalabs
      @bananalabs  Рік тому +3

      It could be your cables, input jacks. Or even ground connection error on your instruments.
      I usually get some noise when I use a fuzz pedal or my phase 90, but you can’t really hear it when I’m playing. And I always roll off the volume before coming in to a part and rolling off. Also, you can minimize noise in post by simply automating the track volume instead of rolling off the volume knobs on your instruments.

    The more out of time and more out of sync or tune it is the more psychedelia it is
    Like if you take LSD and then record yourself playing then its psychedelia
    Otherwise its just pretending to be psychedelic
