- Fire Godzilla from Godzilla King of the Monsters was a good homage to burning Godzilla of the Toho Heisei era. There are some things similar, and some things different between these two versions of Godzilla. Lets analyze both the Legendary Monsterverse Fire Godzilla, and Toho Studios Heisei Burning Godzilla!

Honestly, the Fire State seems to have more utility. The 2019 film stated that Godzilla's radiation content was unstable and reaching critical mass; he was supposed to explode like a nuke. However, he didn't thanks to Mothra. It seems as though her energy allowed Godzilla to take on the Fire State and safely release his excess radioactive energy, thus ensuring he didn't die from the atomic buildup. As well, Godzilla gained increased durability seeing as how he no-sold Ghidorah's Gravity Beams.
In contrast, Burning Godzilla is basically a ticking time bomb, a countdown to his ultimate demise. You do have a point that he probably has better regeneration, though. Monsterverse Godzilla doesn't seem to heal from physical wounds with radiation; it was the Oxygen Destroyer that he was recovering from, which didn't leave him any scarring or damaged body parts but rather affected his biology as a whole.
It's an interesting contrast. Burning Godzilla comes about as a sign of his life coming to an end, whereas Fire Godzilla is when he's saved from the same fate as Burning Godzilla.
Though burning Godzilla is badass in literally every way.
The death of his son fueled his wraith even more,He almost killed destoroyah before the true fight began right after Jr’s death.
and god damn destoroyah is the perfect villain (I rank him above ghidorah)
And technically this Godzilla could have been the strongest Godzilla ever as his infinite heat Ray was said to grow stronger every time it is used.
IF this Godzilla didn’t have the catastrophic meltdown but still kept its burning Godzilla state,It could in theory one shot everything lol.
@@maain9474 Of course, given that the whole "countdown to death" thing is an integral part of the state, we can't really exclude it. Fire Godzilla is basically an on-demand version of Burning Godzilla so long as a Mothra is around.
@Azure Hokage As we learned from Mike Dougherty, this isn't the case. I believe it's quite an intentional contrast given the man's penchant for pulling from the classic TOHO films. Fire Godzilla PREVENTS Godzilla from exploding and thus dying, while Burning Godzilla BUILDS INTO Godzilla exploding and thus dying.

Pokyroyaltrex Drawling I think Mothra just gave him the extra boost and when we see her wings it like the king and Queen are finishing Ghidorah. Legendary Godzilla has been feeding on radiantion for years so I don’t think he’ll ever get a meltdown like the heisei Godzilla.

@@shadowwolf2906 no, Mothra knew Godzilla would go meltdown if she wouldnt help him. So she sacrificed herself to safe Godzilla from his deadly, earth devastating, meltdown.
Her sacrifice gave Godzilla a huge power boost over his burning state while Godzilla was made able to release the energy so he wont die of his incoming meltdown.
Remember burning Godzilla died from meltdown because he couldnt release the energy to cool down. Fire Godzilla was able to cool down by releasing the energy trough temporary cracks that Mothra made by giving her life to him.

Both refer exactly to what they said in Godzilla vs Destroyah about burning Godzilla.
This Godzilla was glowing blue everywhere because this is what for him builds up to the burning state which will go meltdown and wipe out both Godzilla and the earth.

All though that Legendary's Fire Godzilla's fire power is impressive, however, the Toho's Burning Godzilla is just godly overpowered in raw fire power.
And also there're similarities to Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla 1993 and Godzilla vs Destoroyah. Like Godzilla who mourns the loss of Mothra after giving her life-energy and been killed by Ghidorah, similar to how Destoroyah defeats Godzilla Junior and Rodan's sacrifice, Godzilla fought with wrath as exacting revenge upon the antagonist who killed his ally or rival.

What's also worth noting is that in his fire form Legendary G was literally made immune to Ghidorah's gravity beam attack which had previously thrown him all over the place.
Well Not only that, durning His Burning State From first he Was actually Healing a Bunch When he Crawled out of the Large Crater. And Every Each Nuclear Pulse He Blasts Gets Even Stronger When In Use. Heisei Burning Godzilla was only 1.2 million degrees Celsius. While The Monsterverse Burning Godzilla's Temperature was 270 milion degrees Fahrenheit.
Actually A Lot More Hotter than Usual when you compare their temperatures. It's also Interesting and Crazy to Note That The Very Last Nuclear Pulse Blast Was Enough to Destroy All of Boston getting bigger and bigger, And It's Visible to spot that the blast Closes in when it finishes. It's Pulses were Extremely Powerful and Comparable to A Red Giant.
All of this is true. But I like to see burning godzilla as a ww2 vet that kills everyone. The only reason heisei melted was bc he was being cooled down. If he wasn’t cooled down say goodbye to the world. Also if heisei could survive swimming under magma hot hundreds of miles under pressure without using his burning state. What do you think his healing is UNDER the burning state. I mean burning was cut in half and didnt flinch. I feel as though every time monster verse godzilla gets a boost of energy its like *WHOA HES UNSTOPPABLE* until his opponent gets 1 good blow in and he was to wait for help. Heisei godzilla never did that expect 1 time in all of his movies. Burning godzilla would have his energy taken away from him SO MANY TIMES and would be back up with full energy 4 seconds later. In the movie, Yamane theorizes that when 1995 Burning Godzilla's temperature reaches 1,200 °C, he will explode with a force approximately "1,000 times greater than all nuclear weapons put together, a burst of power unseen since time began," which will be hot enough to ignite Earth's atmosphere and reduce the planet's surface to ash.
Legendary burning Godzilla was Way more hotter than that. Which was Millions more. As for the core it has temperatures of 15 milion degrees celsius /270 milion degrees Fahrenheit. As his Nuclear Pusles was easily able to melt Ghidorah Godzilla's nuclear pulses range from 15 milion degrees celsius /270 milion degrees Fahrenheit to tens of thousands of milions of degrees celsius. His Third pulse at the end was more like a Red Giant star Goijg Full Supernova. (I keep saying that a lot but it sounds so cool.) And like I said, his Temperatures were estimated to be around the same as a red giant. It even says in the KOTM Novel I believe.

Burning Godzilla is still superior. He was planet level. The Fire Godzilla form didn’t give Godzilla a more powerful Atomic Breath or anything other than intense heat and a nuclear pulse (I think it’s the only way he’s able to use a Nuclear pulse)
Burning Godzilla, meanwhile, had the Infinite Spiral Heat Ray, which grew exponentially in power each time he used it.

Generally this is pretty good, but I honestly think you missed some stuff with heisei burning godzilla. First of all, it should be apparent that heisei goji's base state is far more powerful than legendaries goji. The burning state, as you brought up, also contained way more energy having absorbed the energy and some abilities of the monsters he fought. Meanwhile, the fire state was achieved by 1 atomic bomb and mothra's life energy. What is important here as well is that mothra in the heisei era, despite being a literal goddess, couldn't kill godzilla even with the help of batra. So again, their base state and the amount of energy the two gojis got is important.
Contextually as well, the burning state had far more energy, heat, and power behind it. Had the jsdf not lowered heisei goji's temperature significantly with their freezing maser canons he would have gotten so hot he would have DESTROYED PLANET EARTH while legendary goji was, at most, going to explode like a atom bomb. While I will admit, burning Godzilla has technically less impressive showing (you yourself admitted that it was because if technology differences) he had way more powerful attacks, and a way hotter body in context.
I would also like to say that while assuming legendary goji had a red atomic blast is fair, assuming he had a red spiral ray is not especially since Godzilla almost always uses that attack immediately after getting it (in heisei and in final wars) but legendary goji did not. Also assuming that legendary goji's red atomic breath is more power is a bit of a logical fallacy since 1, he never showed it so we cant compare, and 2, if you were to say that it is comparable to his nuclear pulse then you have to remember that legendary goji's red nuclear pulse did about the same of damage to ghidorah that heisei goji did with his base atomic breath to heisei ghidorah (who is also more powerful), so it can be more realistically assumed that burning Godzilla's pulse and atomic breath would be way more powerful. You then said that legendary goji's breath would be more powerful than the infinite spiral ray even though said ray (as you again admitted) gets more powerful infinitely the more it's used and its initial blast fatally injured Destroyah, who is the physical embodiment of the more powerful version of the Oxygen Destroyer.
Overall the analysis and conclusion weren't the worst, but could have benefited significantly from contextual evidence from both movies.

@@maain9474 it was because of an excessive amount of uranium blowing up and destroying the island, with godzilla absorbing all the radiation. However, it doesnt change the fact heisei goji had exponentially increased in size and power over the movies due to constant absorption of the energies of several monsters (starting at 80 meters and ending up at 100 meters by the time he became burning godzilla).
But yes, it was the uranium deposit that forced him into the burning state.

@@maain9474 its was over the course of the movies. That's why I said "by the time he was burning godzilla" not not "when he became burning godzilla." He had already absorbed some energy from his battle with biolantte as evidenced by his sudden growth spurt when he fought king ghidorah. Most of biollante's energy went into space however, and either that was what created spacegodzilla or mothra was the reason. Either way, godzilla absorbed the energy one way or another.

@@kritikill7779 he is burning form but not in meltdown. So this means burning is not right term, that fits for the heisei one. Monsterverse Godzilla could release the energy and cool down, so inferno(custom name :p) or fire would be more fitting as of these are temporary.

I liked how they worked the "king" theme into bearzilla by giving him an overbearing aura.
I do prefer the upgraded breath weapon, though. Then again, there was really no competing with Shin Gojira, so I appreciate Legendary trying something new while retaining the fanservice.

I like to think of Fire G as Burning G being kept alive by Mothra, via their symbiotic relationship.
Had Mothra not intervened, there's a good chance that Godzilla would've actually become Burning G and died.
Note that burning Godzilla did have the regeneration boost but also in fact was still possible to harm.
When hit by Ghidorah’s gravity beams, Legendary did not flinch. One could say that the gravity beams are not as powerful as Destroyah’s horn attack but that would require it’s own analysis.
You mean Fire Godzilla(Normal LG hopped a few hundred feet when it hit him) didn't finch and you if your comparing Destroyah's Blade beam to Legendary's Ghidorah gravity beam. Destroyah wins that argument hands down. His Blade beam is a fusion of Matter, heat energy and kinetic force.
He barely healed during his final battle, I say its gotten weaker because his body is melting down anyway.

I feel as of right now Sci-fi explained that this Legendary version of Godzilla (Fire) is currently the most powerful and successful Godzilla in cinematic history because Legendary Godzilla is the first one to open itself internationally and made himself and franchise famous again for doing unlike Shin Godzilla who only opened itself in Japan but didn’t go global and the anime didn’t do well because of the lack of money and support for the anime to bring in more Toho monsters

Also the OG burning godzilla is stronger than "fire godzilla" his atomic pulses are like miniature supernovas and regular heisei goji was already a solarsystem buster so burning g would be multi solarsystem or even galaxy level. His atomic pulses didn't completely fry destoroyah immediately because destoroyah is more durable than king ghidorah 2019 and he could just turn into the mini crab destoroyas and then form again completely healed

Fire Goji is durable enough from Legendary Ghidorah's beams which are powerful enough to vaporize humans, vehicles, buildings and sometimes, relatively fragile kaijus like Mothra (Rodan just knockout from the beams) and to some extent, "terraform" the landscape (evidence, the Antarctica scene when he first gravity beamed the unfortunate tiny soldiers, the exposed ice suddenly became charred "igneous rock-like" surface) and it also has an electro-magnetic effect to powered machinery like the helicopters that are crashed down that the Monarch team is riding during Ghidorah's arctic scene or the fact that it can somehow shake the earth if the beams are constantly hitting the surface, also during that scene as well. In fact, Fire Goji didn't even flinch at all, also, the possibility that his regenerative abilities are greatly boosted by his insane durability alone? Does that mean he can survive from Destoroyah's horns and is durable from it? (assuming that Heisei Destoroyah fights Fire Goji cause we don't know how powerful Legendary Destoroyah is if he would ever appear again) Well, we do not know if L. Ghidorah's beams are as powerful as Destroyah's horns so...

I would like to sdd that heisei was continuously trying to keep in his heat, as you said in the video he was spraying pulses unconsciously (not meaning to) meaning that we never really saw godzilla use a full power pulse against destroyah and as explained in the movie heisei nuclear blast would obliterate the planet ( the only reason it didn't is because the japanese were able to cool him down enough to make him not destroy the earth) while thermo godzilla would still live on the destructive capabilities of thermos are way outmatched

Both forms have their pros and cons but one similarity is the significant power-up, con for Legendary’s Fire Godzilla is that it is a temporary power up even with that said a pro is Fire Godzilla gets to live to fight another day. Burning Godzilla remains in his meltdown stage maintaining his devastating power-up but will eventually die once reaching the critical stage. Due to unfair nostalgia Burning Godzilla is always going to be my favorite and due to the fact to add to that Godzilla Vs Destoroyah is my favorite G movie of all time.

Godzilla 2014-2019 seems to be better at handling/mitigating larger amounts of energy than. Him basically spamming it out in waves and pulses seeming served the dual purpose of burning off that excess of radiation to safe levels as well as annihilating Ghidora in the process. Or maybe he just absorbed just enough to tap into that state, but not enough to go full melt down & self destruct the way Hesei did, as Hesei was constantly growing in power after every fight and even the boost in strength from Rodan.

The best powerup to me will always be burning g. As for who wins in a battle, I'm saying burning G aswell. Even if his victory is short lived. Burning g is comparable to fw goji which is the most powerful goji in film. Infinite heat ray would obliterate fire goji. Just my opinion.

First off, imma just say this destroyah has thick skin aswell. But the infinite heat ray split through destroyah fairly easily. I don't see how legendary G is gonna survive multiple blasts. In fire form, he can't heal injuries aswell. In the end of kotm he's missing a Chunk of his head from when ghidorah fired his wing beams. Destroyah only stayed in the fight so long because he kept breaking up and reappearing.
And even if burning g is lighter, how is fire form gonna get close? Base heisei g can fight space goji to a standstill and that's a creature who destroys and eats White holes/stars, aswell as being born from a Black Hole. Burning g is 3 times more than that, he'd one shot almost any kaji in the heisei era. And we know legendary goji (Even in fire form) is near black hole level. He's city destroyer at best. Burning G infinite heat ray CAN obliterate him. That beam is HOT. But let's just explain all the beams now.

I have a Chinese knockoff White Godzilla 12" toy that I plan on cleaning up [it's soft rubber and the rotating leg, arm, and tail sockets are horrible] and painting as Burning Godzilla. It is dark grey with white highlighted scales and bright white dorsal plates. I kinda wanna do the plates in traditional Godzilla nuclear blue-white, but as it isn't really pore accurate to my knowledge, I'll settle for neon yellow/orange plates [like burning G] and red-orange glow between ashy black-gray scales [like fire G]

Two complqintz mate. One: whats your source on "inffinite heat" for Burning GZ? Show me that. Two: Burning healing was normal. He was showing no better regen then his Biollante feats of healing but we did see he could not heal the part of the body getting burn off at the same time. There is no improvement really.
With that said I feel burning has more power overall with melt through the world energy in melt down mode, but thats it and unlike Fire GZ Burning has to die for that. Fire meanwhile shown more damage output with his pulses and is just bigger and stronger too.
Well in fights we talk about feats that are shown. Everyone is saying "Oohhh Burning Godzilla would destroy the world" but since he didn't it's not a measurable feat and therefore doesn't mean anything. If they gave actual heat and power output stats that would be different.
I think Godzilla 2019 will have the ability to become fire Godzilla again because he probably still has mothras life force all he needs is loads of energy again

They would both die. Burning Godzilla would absolutely KILL Fire Godzilla. He basically killed Destroyah. Destroyah knew he was going to die and was trying to run away when he got finished off by the military. If Burning Godzilla can do that to a kaiju that is basically the living embodiment of the very weapon that killed the original Godzilla... Then I don't care how strong Fire Godzilla is he will die in front of Burning Godzilla. He literally almost died to the generic and rushed Legendary version of the Oxygen Destroyer. (Which I hated btw. Why did they put in the most iconic weapon in Godzilla lore as such an afterthought?) So even though Fire Godzilla would be stronger than his normal form... Burning Godzilla would survive all of his attacks. (Like the insane attacks he took from Destroyah that would have killed him fairly quickly if he hadn't been in Burning form.) And then just burn Fire Godzilla too a crisp. (Legendary Godzilla does NOT have the resilience and regeneration of even the normal Heisei Godzilla. He's more of a big, kind of radioactive animal than a walking embodiment of radiation like Heisei Godzilla was.) Then he would meltdown and they would both be dead. lol.
The Oxygen Destroyer eliminates every single being that breathes oxygen,so it's as powerful (and possibly more) than the og Oxygen Destroyer

If Toho had CGI of that caliber back in the 1990's when they were making the Heisei Godzilla films they would have looked just as impressive and intimidating. It's like comparing apples and watermelons. They don't really directly compare well. And you can't tell by just what you see in front of your eyes.
I watched EVERY Heisei Godzilla film dozens of times. Own them all. I understood the lore and the powers of the monsters. I also understood all the implied things that were happening in the movies... That Toho had no way of putting on screen in a convincing fashion. Like how much damage Godzilla and the other kaiju were causing, deaths that were happening but rarely actually shown on camera, and the size and power of the kaiju that the old school special effects just couldn't always convey well, especially compared to Hollywood special effects.
Because of this I know that the Heisei Godzilla (especially Burning Godzilla) could kill any other Godzilla except Godzilla Earth and Maybe Final Wars Godzilla.
