Shin is by far my all time favorite design. He’s essentially a creature suffering from radioactive mutation, and is constantly mutating to survive. At first he needs to run to the ocean to cool his body down, as he evolves, he develops a way to dissipate that heat in another way. And the entire time he looks to be in constant pain.
He’s by far the dumbest and most laughable design. Overly long tail, fat thighs, puny arms, an ugly head and no one physical fighting ability. He’s second worse next to Zilla from 1998
@@temutemacular apparently, it’s a total different species than the past Godzilla(s), and unlike the incarnations prior, it’s a creature spawned from nuclear waste dumping instead of an ancient creature being woken by nuclear testing. But that’s perfectly fine, as it’s a VERY authentic and fresh take on the character. In total contrast to the other ones that were all furious and angrily destroyed stuff, Shin Godzilla is suffering the entire time, fighting to survive, and keeps on evolving in response to human interference. To me, Shin Godzilla is like the perfect balance between horrifying, and badass (I swear, all of the beams coming from the dorsal plates and the tail are so awesome!!!)

It’s funny; this video also made me realize how Godzilla’s roar has stayed relatively the same throughout the years. There were a few tweaks for his roar, especially in the American version, but it still has the same sort of ebb and flow how the roar starts off strong and then tapers off at the end. Real cool👍
Love how you animated Godzilla 1998's first entrance in the movie. The transition from that to the animated series and cyber Godzilla were very well done.
@IvanWolf FurryGuy Which wouldn't be as a problem if they the human characters at interesting... Edit: Which wouldn't be as much of a problem if they made the human characters at least interesting...
I'm so glad you included the 1998's version that got adapted into the TV Series. They're both the reason why I got into the franchise when I was a kid. Though they may not be respected by a lot of people, to me they're still so important despite the differences.
I was a little surprised we didn't see the heat breath that was actually in that movie, which was a transparent ripple of heat that ignited nearby objects. That creature never once breathed fire like what's shown in this video.
I love the 98 design, I just feel like it was a bad choice for Godzilla. Do keep in mind that Zilla is the official copyrighted version of that design. At least, post Destroy All Monsters.

They need to make a new game asap and have the roster of every monster and version of those monsters including Pacific rim jagers and kaijus. Make each arena pretty massive with destroyable buildings trees mountains etc. they'd make a killing
Just my personal taste but I always thought the Godzillas with atomic breath that came out as a solid beam of power just seemed more powerful and destructive than the atomic breath that actually came out looking like a cloud of breath.
I love the fact that Zilla 1998, Godzilla: The Series 1998-2000, Godzilla: Final Wars 2004, Godzilla 2014 and Shin Godzilla 2016 was also included here. Bravo...😊
It's honestly quite interesting to see the difference in iteration of this character, especially with each major departure by different groups. You can tell when the design is more Eastern or Western just by how they look, and even sound. All the western studios that make their iterations with a more angular appearance and lower, louder roar while the eastern designs follow more closely to the original appearance, and stuck more closely to the classic roar while keeping it modern, and again somewhere in between with each of the animated series variations, like with the animes.
More importantly to this video, the earlier Western version stuck with classical ideas of a fire-breathing dragon, using red-orange flames, presumably thinking the audience either wouldn't like or wouldn't understand the blue-white evocation of nuclear-powered heat.

Not only did u somehow top the previous evolution, u have also made models so accurate to the film's i almost cried when i saw godzilla 2000. And the fluid animations matching the iconic movements from the franchise is just...just...GOD.
12:47 Singular Point's Godzilla atomic breath is the most unique & in my opinion, the most badass, the circles appears in front of the mouth before huge shot just awesome, & when the breath shots, the circles becomes wider & kinda so cool
What an incredible video, my god. That ending was nothing but sheer legend… From the amazing models, to the perfectly recreated screen (or cartoon) accurate animations, every aspect of this video was well worth the wait and frankly it’s incredible to see how far you’ve come. Thank you for providing us with these epic videos, no one else can do them like you. I truly thank you, wish I had some money to donate.
This is just incredible. So much attention to detail in each design. Even their mannerisms you had down-pat from the dancing by the Astro Monster design, to the way the Terror of Mechagodzilla design flicked his head when he did his breath, to animating the EXACT way that the '97 design broke out of the ground and climbed onto the street. Just amazing. '84 Godzilla is by far my favorite. Everything about him to me was perfect. If you never heard of Godzilla before and needed a movie to truly understand what he is all about, outside of the original '54 movie the '84 film is the next best-thing.
Love how you captured the mannerisms of each Godzilla from their respective movies, such as the small poses they make when firing their rays or actions they perform pre-breath. A little disappointed that Super Godzilla from the SNES 1993 game and "Always: Sunset on Third Street 2" (2007) Godzilla weren't in the mix, and the much more recent "Godzilla the Ride" version, but I guess there's always a future update when Toho inevitably creates new incarnations :)
@@Sharky91132 You never see him charge his spines, but he definitely fires an atomic breath! It destroys Tokyo Tower in one scene early on in the movie.
Here’s how I would rank the MonsterVerse movies (and note, I enjoyed all of them): 1. King of the Monsters 2. Godzilla vs Kong 3. Godzilla 2014 4. Skull Island
I really like Singular Point's Godzilla's atomic beam. It isn't a breath anymore but a compressed light in ultra speed that can just cut through basically anything.
I absolutely LOVE how much more detail is put into this vid over the original. You don't just have all the Godzilla's walk up, a good amount of them have their own unique entrances like Godzilla 1998 coming from the ground, the OG Gojira coming from the sea, Godzilla 2014 with his epic entrance from the film, etc... (My favorite was Zilla Jr; It just filled me with goosebumps). I also love the added addition of Godzilla's sons and ALL of the Zillas, of course the new incarnations were added as well which was expected but they were still a spectacle to watch. I really think you not only improved on the original video but just made it even better, you deserve all the love and attention with how much you give this amazing character such respect and attention to detail. Well done! 💙💙
@@treyrex5987 Junior and Rodan both share top spot as my favorite kaiju. As much shit as Godzilla 1998 gets, Zilla is still a good kaiju and a great design. I was 10 when that movie came to theaters. Back then, I was into dinosaurs but Godzilla himself didn't have a place then. My childhood wasn't his time. So I don't see Zilla the same way the die-hards do.
@@25Erix I can respect that. Yeah, Zilla honestly is a Daikaiju that does not deserve all the hate he got, I still love em to this day. Took me a while to really get into Godzilla too.
I love how you can feel the burst of power as each Godzilla gets stronger and stronger you even made zilla ‘98 look cool! I also love the personality details on the Showa era Godzilla’s. I also love how monster X comes out of nowhere and attacks Godzilla which transitions into Godzilla tailwhipping him into the air and doing the spiral beam. Amazing work as always.
Ahh nostalgia, and this animation was pretty good! Always worth the wait to see your amazing videos Looks much realistic, more smoother animation, more Easter egg references and much better than your first version, even the models are greater looking than ever! Keep up the amazing work filmcore!
It's really splendid, absolutely incredible already two years ago I remember when I watched it once the video came out, it's just masterclass Godzilla is my favorite Kaiju and I thank you Filmcore for this incredible masterpiece ❤🎉
At 6:42 I got chills! That was a spot on recreation of Godzilla the Series opening! Love that animation along with the rest of them! I know the 1998 Godzilla gets a lot of crap thrown at it for how Godzilla looks and how it was pretty easily defeated but there's something about it of how it's so different that I like about it. The sleek and agile yet powerful/intimidating design is cool! I grew up with that Godzilla and thought the tv show was really cool! Not to mention that roar! Would love to see that Godzilla or now named Zilla get some more love with a future series or something! Just my opinion! Was it great, no. But was it cool, heck yea it was!
I think the American movie is what introduced me to Godzilla and then saw the series. I was hype up about it. As a kid didn't think it was bad just wow a fire breathing lizard that is stories high awesome!
Being a huge fan of Godzilla, watching other's animations and 3D modeling. No amount of wording could describe just how an amazing beautiful job you did here! The personality of each Godzilla, the detail and color of each breath, the flow of each breath, tail movement, posture, and also most importantly, each roar? And omg the ending gave me so many goosebumps I was literally crying happy tears! I can't imagine how much data this took either! TRULY AMAZING, I could repeat myself so many times and it would never be enough. Love this!
God I wish Zilla Jr. could be revived in live action movies but ONLY if they do him justice. He was such a badass with his agility and green atomic breath.
I'm convinced that Toothless was inspired by Godzilla. Toothless' black scales light up the same neon blue. His blast is just as powerful, even though his involve the connection with lightning instead of nuclear energy. And the earlier models of Godzilla has a roar just as similar. Awesome video 💙💙💙
This is top notch stuff. The improvement from your first evolution of Godzilla's atomic breath is beyond amazing. The models look great, the lighting is so realistic to each of the respective incarnations, the textures of each atomic breath is unique and extremely beautiful, and I LOVE how you put Ghidorah, SpaceGodzilla, Gigan, Megaguirus, and MechaGodzilla at the end. However, there is one little thing that should be corrected in the future: regular Heisei Godzilla's red spiral breath. Other than that, this is 100% perfect.
This was done so well. The graphics and animation were top notch. I will argue wholeheartedly that Zilla (American version) never breathed fire or anything. It roared and breathed at the same time which caused cars to collide and burst into flame. None of it originally came from Zilla itself unlike all the other Godzilla versions.
Unbelievable. It is no exaggeration that you've truly outdone yourself here. The back to back lineup of the first one felt more concise, but I like how this one really gives each Godzilla their time in the spotlight and doesn't fell like it's breezing through them. Also love the new additions. Hopefully this video won't have to go through those same copyright issues the first one did.
Absolutely spectacular, each one of these videos yall do are better than the previous one. Please keep going I look foward to every single one coming in the future and thank you for creating such awesome content.
Fun Fact: The American '98 Godzilla is actually just named Zilla to distinguish him from most other incarnations of the character. This is because Toho, the company behind Godzilla, really really hated the American version, as Zilla is considerably smaller and weaker than Godzilla (missiles actually hurt him unlike his much hardier cousin.) Their dislike of Zilla was so strong that in Final Wars, the original Japanese Godzilla fights American Zilla. Fight might be a bit generous though, as Zilla jumps at Godzilla, and is immediately tail whipped and then blown up with atomic breath. They literally made a scene of Zilla getting completely punked just to be like "That's not the real godzilla, he's just some crappy American copy."
I always hated that version. As a kid I was lucky enough to have some of the 70's films on vhs and maybe that's why. I mean sure some of older films have godzilla looking goofy af but there's just no comparison between them. I remember thinking when I first saw the american one "that's not godzilla, that's just a t-rex with a broad chin"
Filmcore, your first evolution of atomic breath became so popular that many people copied the idea. That's how great you are! And now I saw this new one I got excited so much. Thank you for entertaining us with your awesome effort!
2014 always felt like the Godzilla to me, it felt the most realistic (I mean of how realistic a kaiju can get) and while there are other designs I like better (I mean the 2016 Shin Godzilla is crazy good) the 2014 one felt like the pinnacle of traditional Godzilla to me as a 2000's kid
I think that's because those two in particular have the most emphasis on biology and naturalism. 2014 Godzilla seemed like legitimately a wild animal, like Shin Godzilla's early forms. Both had something that rooted them in our laws of nature if only slightly, most of the others are just alien calamities.
@@oklafornia3643This is a great observation. As you said, because Legendary Godzilla’s design drew elements from the real world, such as more realistic biomechanics, musculature, and proportionality, it just feels more realistic. The earlier versions of Godzilla are more “man in a suit” looking and stiff. While those designs are iconic, they just don’t have the same impact. Legendary Godzilla is just badass 😁
@@DigitalfiendscomWell I mean until 1998 IIRC, it was a suit. So I usually give those a slight pass. They would never have gotten how a creature like that would have actually moved right. When you actually start studying biology, it really makes you appreciate Legend/KotM/Monsterverse and Shin, and movie/show/etc monsters that actually lean more biologically accurate then most (Vita Carnis and MFPNP hit hard on that front).
@@_Fizel_ Yeah I guess the quotes weren't necessary because it really was a man in a suit. 😆 I remember watching those as a kid back in the 80s and thinking they were pretty funny looking, even back then. :) Definitely love the look of Legendary's Godzilla. I hope they haven't made him look too agile in the new Godzilla x Kong...
@@Digitalfiendscom If you mean the 2021 GvK then no it's the same Godzilla as the 2014 and KotM movies, if anything he looks more solid to me. That's why Kong is so gigantic in the Skull Island reboot, cause he was part of the Monsterverse with Zilla so he had to be much bigger then he used to be. Unless I missed another GvK movie being a thing. Which is entirely possible (and now reminds me I need to go watch the animated series now that they're in my brain to do so).
2014 is my favorite out of all the designs. It was the biggest Godzilla had ever been(up to that point), his dorsal plates are very unique, and his atomic breath had a really cool, fiery look.
it went legend(2014) then immediately shin, then back to legend, I'm excluding earth since he is the biggest one with no competition to challenge his size, but there's the NEW godzilla, minus one, no telling what it's size is for now
@@Leostar-Regalius godzilla ultima if allowed to live (not that you can fully kill it just delay it) could of outgrew earth but in a way it is bigger then earth with it being 12d and practically infinite in power due to quantum mechanics.

As a long time Godzilla fan since the 80s, this is one of the best tribute video to Godzilla. Not just their beams, but an element of that movie was also incorporated. i.e. when Godzilla 1965 did the victory dance, thats when I know this is going to be epic.
Absolutely loved the 1998 version. It feels so fresh and new concept instead of all of the rest walking straight like a human. Also Shin Godzilla, one hell of a creepy movie. Where i wish it had a sequel cause it ended with such a huge cliffhanger.
1998 movie is my favorite despite the fact that I watched all the films about Godzilla (well, almost all, except 5, which I'm too lazy to watch ...) He is an individual of all other versions and I don't care that he is weaker than many others. For me, he will be loved no matter what.
I'm definitely seeing some improvements here. Awesome effects, epic ending, and that position Gigan did here (14:03) was awesome. I loved it. 10/10 from me!

It’s funny; this video also made me realize how Godzilla’s roar has stayed relatively the same throughout the years. There were a few tweaks for his roar, especially in the American version, but it still has the same sort of ebb and flow how the roar starts off strong and then tapers off at the end. Real cool👍

Actually Zilla jr from the tv series is very respected and is seen in a much more positive light as he’s a more respectful adaptation of Godzilla

Hello capi
It's honestly quite interesting to see the difference in iteration of this character, especially with each major departure by different groups. You can tell when the design is more Eastern or Western just by how they look, and even sound. All the western studios that make their iterations with a more angular appearance and lower, louder roar while the eastern designs follow more closely to the original appearance, and stuck more closely to the classic roar while keeping it modern, and again somewhere in between with each of the animated series variations, like with the animes.
But all kept the last little bit of the roar. Not quite sure how to describe it, that sound Godzilla always makes at the end of roaring.
That final sound at the end of Godzilla’s roar is created by a cello.
@@ItsJustFranko Godzilla's roar is iconic. I just love it.
@@ShadowFox1412 yeah, grease on a leather glove scrubbing the strings of a cello. Crazy!
More importantly to this video, the earlier Western version stuck with classical ideas of a fire-breathing dragon, using red-orange flames, presumably thinking the audience either wouldn't like or wouldn't understand the blue-white evocation of nuclear-powered heat.

Toothless' black scales light up the same neon blue. His blast is just as powerful, even though his involve the connection with lightning instead of nuclear energy. And the earlier models of Godzilla has a roar just as similar. Awesome video 💙💙💙

Until zilla turned into mechazilla in the cartoon
@@MultiYogibear *Cyberzilla
Yeah, I recall it being described as more of a "power breath" rather than a heat attack of any sort.
Zilla breathed fired. Godzilla 1998 had a power breath. This is exactly why Toho has them as separate creatures.
Unbelievable. It is no exaggeration that you've truly outdone yourself here. The back to back lineup of the first one felt more concise, but I like how this one really gives each Godzilla their time in the spotlight and doesn't fell like it's breezing through them. It’s terrifying how shin godzillas roar isn’t a roar and it’s a scream in pain…
“I knew that tuna-head wasn’t up too much…next!”
At least they made up for it by making zilla Jr, which was more Godzilla like
I always hated that version. As a kid I was lucky enough to have some of the 70's films on vhs and maybe that's why. I mean sure some of older films have godzilla looking goofy af but there's just no comparison between them. The T in T-Rex is short for Thanos.
That’s like righting a whole SA and I like :ok
Man this tops the original tribute to Godzilla’s atomic breathes, this is epic great work indeed Filmcore.
It really does
The final bit with the villains going against all the godzillas was amazing. Really shows you that godzillas are named god-zillas for a reason.
We need a remake of this
Filmcore, your first evolution of atomic breath became so popular that many people copied the idea.
Me too
it went legend(2014) then immediately shin, then back to legend, I'm excluding earth since he is the biggest one with no competition to challenge his size, but there's the NEW godzilla, minus one, no telling what it's size is for now
@@Leostar-Regalius godzilla ultima if allowed to live (not that you can fully kill it just delay it) could of outgrew earth but in a way it is bigger then earth with it being 12d and practically infinite in power due to quantum mechanics.
Not true actually Hanna Barbera's Godzilla was taller than any of them. The only official Godzilla that is taller is Earth
@@theplaguedocta Oops. Godzilla 2014 was the tallest “live-action” Godzilla at the time. I stand corrected.
I just love the charging sound the Godzila from 2014 and on does before destroying everything with his beam, its dramatic and terrifying!
Honestly, I love the way you managed to 3D model the ones from animated series. It reminds me of Spiderverse or Arcane, good job!
I'm just blown away and struggling to comprehend how great everything is in this video! The quality of each models are so detailed, the animations are beyond amazing and everything about it is just WOW
Dude... my uncle made sure I knew my Godzilla. The attention to the history of the franchise and the love embedded here is astounding. I really hope you read your comments because this was amazing. This took me down memory lane, remembering all the good Saturday afternoons visiting him and popping in a VHS of old dubbed G-Fair. This was astounding. Thanks yo. Really super rad. Excellent stuff. Subscribed for sure.
Okay, but… My GOODNESS the ending did NOT have to go that HARD!! 🔥 I love the show don’t tell!! Insane rendering and hard work! Amazing! I’m Subscribed!! 🤯

The last scene gives me goosebumps! This is amazing. Nothing short of extraordinary.
The ending is the definition of “Chads don’t fight each other, they fight together”
The 3d models imitating how scuffed the suits were really gets me. 10/10 that's passion and dedication to source material.
I love how they gave the Tristar Godzillas unique entrances, plus the other Sons of Godzilla were involved too!
And I was just talking about SpaceGodzilla during this too😆
As a long time Godzilla fan since the 80s, this is one of the best tribute video to Godzilla. Not just their beams, but an element of that movie was also incorporated. i.e. when Godzilla 1965 did the victory dance, thats when I know this is going to be epic.
That's when you knew he gets it! 😂
Ngl that 98 Godzilla entrance was fire 🔥🔥👏🏼
Absolutely loved the 1998 version.
It feels so fresh and new concept instead of all of the rest walking straight like a human.
Also Shin Godzilla, one hell of a creepy movie.
Where i wish it had a sequel cause it ended with such a huge cliffhanger.
Yep Shin Godzilla really give me a creep - he is way too powerful and that design, man~ scary af :V
Idk I personally feel like waking upright is a part of what makes Godzilla so iconic
1998 movie is my favorite despite the fact that I watched all the films about Godzilla (well, almost all, except 5, which I'm too lazy to watch ...)
He is an individual of all other versions and I don't care that he is weaker than many others. For me, he will be loved no matter what.
I'm definitely seeing some improvements here. Awesome effects, epic ending, and that position Gigan did here (14:03) was awesome. I loved it. 10/10 from me!

The amount of time and work you must've put into this. It's like I can see all of your tears and sweat on the screen ! x) It's very impressive to say the least. The lil details, the camera movements to keep it all interesting, the lil interactions to give it life, the decors, etc. Tremendous work ! Thank you. ^-^
Imagine all of the godzillas going to war with each other
