I totally didn't tear up. Nope. Anyone who says I did is a liar... Dang it, Sato!!!! Why did you and your two crewmen have to be so brave?! Hearts of rebels to the last. (Tears freeze in outer space, right?) T_T
Those three are one of the _many_ heroes in the Rebellion that, had it not been for their heroic sacrifice, the entire Rebellion probably would've failed. The Rogue One team, the Rebel Troopers who tried to hold off Vader while passing the plans to one another, and even that one Y Wing pilot from Secret Cargo. Had he not thrown himself between the TIE Defender and the Ghost to protect Mon Mothma, she would've likely died, and the Rebellion never would've been formed, or at least, not in time to stop the Death Star. It's kinda funny, and sad, that, while Luke and Han and Leia and all them are hailed as the heroes of the Rebellion, who won the war and defeated the Empire, there are still so many other, mostly unsung, heroes, whose sacrifices kept the Rebellion afloat.
The gravity well generator ships are the Interdictors (like the word "interdiction")... ;) I'm not good with a ton of Star Wars lore, but I at least picked up that one bit. :D *crosses fingers hoping part 2 will be uploaded tonight as well*
Offhand I don't actually recall the rebel ships shooting back much. I think the visual effects were more interested in making it look REALLY DIRE for the rebellion. Which, y'know, they succeeded at. :D
Don't the Corvettes only have like the one turret on top and a few light cannons on the front? Not much in the way of firepower. They're more about speed and scouting, and even then, I doubt they were ever meant to be warships in the first place. It's like Kanan said in the episode where they stole the Hammerheads (Which, I may point out, were originally built as freighters, a la the Millennium Falcon), "When you're part of a Rebellion, you take what you can get."
The voice work in these series (clone wars and Rebels) is beyond good and the KEY reason these shows are so good. Absolutely spot on and to get the actors who portrayed so many of these characters in the movies was another great decision.
I'm so happy! About the reaction that is. I was sad about Sato. That moment actually made me tear up. Also the Bendu (or as I call him, Tom Baler doing his Tom Baker thing) is kind of terrifying. I love it. I think I read somewhere that the Death troopers are assigned to high ranking people within the Tarkin initiative? I guess that would cover Thrawn as well.
15:20 Interdictor Cruiser, or Immobilizer-418 Cruiser in Legends. In Legends Thrawn used these for several tactics, most notably precise jumping Imperial ships into ambush positions against Alliance vessels in addition to their original roles. Two of the more notable vessels he used in Legends were the Constrainer and the Sentinel.
The ship that prevents crafts from entering hyperspace is the Interdictor... in-ter-DIKT-or. Thanks so much for your video! Looking forward to hearing your reactions of the 2nd part.
Death Troopers are spec ops but they also protect people from Imperial High Command like Thrawn or other important people like Krennic. Basicaly everyone of the Tarkin Initiative and higher ups.
Yes GOD YES, i could not went to sleep waiting for this, i simple love when you guys talk about star wars, please start a weekly podcast to talk only of star wars, make time please.
Maybe I'm early enough that you haven't been spammed with it yet, but it's an Interdictor-class Star Destroyer. Those bubbles on its hull are gravity well projectors that stop ships from making a jump to hyperspace. Or at least that was the explanation for them in Legends, where they're meant to replicate the gravity of a planet not letting you make the jump. But now in the movies people have jumped to lightspeed off a planet and onto a planet, so I don't know the explanation in the new canon.
My guess is that it generates enough gravity to cause an anomaly to trigger the hyperspace navigation to pull itself out as a precaution? Since the computer is suppose to calculate a safe trajectory
In-ter-dic-tor - An interdictor is a type of attack aircraft that operates far behind enemy lines, with the express intent of interdicting the enemy's military targets, most notably those involved in logistics. The interdiction prevents or delays enemy forces and supplies from reaching the battlefront.
Inter-dictor. An interdictor is a type of attack aircraft that operates far behind enemy lines, with the express intent of interdicting the enemy's military targets, most notably those involved in logistics. The interdiction prevents or delays enemy forces and supplies from reaching the battlefront. interdiction: 1. the action of prohibiting or forbidding something. "the interdiction of the slave trade" 2. the action of intercepting and preventing the movement of a prohibited commodity or person. "the interdiction of arms shipments"
the massassi are not native to yavin they're an ancient sith warrior class who followed naga sadow when he escaped (they were later modified and deformed by sadow)
Interdictor! They're straight out of the old West End Games Star Wars RPG. Zahn brought them into the old EU because Lucasfilm gave him the RPG sourcebooks to use as reference for the original Thrawn trilogy.
I wish the Imperial fleets would have more support craft. Rebels have frigates, cruisers, corvettes, etc... Imperials need some fighter screen ships and some lighter ships. Would like to see some Carracks and Victories in the background with them just for beleivability. A capital ship only fleet wouldn't last long against a massive fighter attack.
There were at least 3 recusant class light cruisers, and 2 interdictors along with the 6 star destroyers, there was variety in the imperial fleet. However, in regards to the fighter attack, the main batteries on a star destroyer may not be able to effectively combat the fighters, but the mass amounts of fighters the destroyers carry can. ISDs are very versatile and multi role, as seen when imperial commanders choose the ISDs, over something like a Praetor that is vulnerable to fighter attacks.
Ah yes, the Interdictor cruiser...I loved using those in Empire at War games to stop the rebel scum from escaping the utter defeat I delivered them back in the good old days
the Obi wan Maul fight was to show the difference between light and dark also the purpose of training and wisdom obi wan got and how broken Maul was in the force the battle was already fought and lost
One of the things that did Konstantine in was his own bigotry. You could see it from the first episode of the season 3 that he wasn't pleased that Thrawn was promoted by the Emperor to Grand Admiral and outranked him. He is like most of the Imperials, xenophobic of non-human members of the galaxy. He probably had no true respect for Thrawn aside from the rank. Combine that with his own ego and those two things are the reason he disobeyed Thrawn in the battle and went for the Rebel ship. I also have a feeling that Konstantine, despite his thirst for personal glory, would never have disobeyed the order to stay put if it had come from Tarkin or Vader....especially from Vader.
I paused the video when Thrawn was talking to Tarkin and omf he looked like Snoke. Is it possible Tarkin somehow survived when the Death Star was destroyed?
Unrelated topic, but why don't you go back and do reactions to the TV show Banshee. You may have to edit it like you do Game of Thrones, but it would be a good weekly reaction and with the show already ending there would be no gaps in reactions.
I have very mixed feelings about this episode. The space battle is very slow paced and feels empty. The Rebel ships almost never actually fire. This when added to by the lack of music makes the scene lack tension and doesn't feel like it's building. The battle also lacks the "Thrid Dimension". In the battle of Hoth it made sense that they charge the Imperial fleet, as the Ion cannon could cover them and the ships had been deployed around the planet. Here the ships only show up at one area. We know the Interdictor can't block a whole system like in the EU because Ezra was able to jump despite there being another Interdictor right there. So why doesn't Ezra just go around? Also the Rebels fleet seems incompetent, surely if Sato is so experienced he knows that SD's don't have many ventral cannons and could order the fleet to dive under Thrawn's to avoid fire and then use their deck guns to take out the Interdictor. Then target the SD's engines from their blind spot. The CR90's are much faster after all and should be able to stay in the SD's blind spot. All this being said. Sato's sacrifice was done well and Constantine's end was fitting. Though they could have played up his rivaly with Thrawn. Give him a win earlier in the season so his confidence is justified. I'll say more in part 2. But was very underwhelmed with part 1 of Zero Hour.
I recommend it to casual fans a lot more than Clone Wars. CW is hard to watch, too many episodes worth skipping, and a casual fan won't be bothered in selecting the ones that matter. Rebels, on the other hand, is shorter and more "stable", if that makes any sense.
probably cuz the vid files were separated. When it aired on TV, they were separated into 2 episodes in its initial run. Twilight of the Apprentice aired in one go when it was first released so it was easier to find one whole video file.
Casting Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn might be one of the best casting choices of all time.
They could always get Marc Thompson, the guy who voiced him in the Audiobooks. But Lars Mikkelsen is a very good choice too.
Nah, Cameron monogram as Jerome in Gotham is the best
Nearly 4 years on and this is true yet again XD
Filoni confirmed the "General Syndulla" mentioned in Rogue was Hera.
That’s so cool!
RIP Sato :( Expected him to die, but I didn't expect to be that bummed out by it. He and those two rebels pretty much saved everyone.
I totally didn't tear up. Nope. Anyone who says I did is a liar...
Dang it, Sato!!!! Why did you and your two crewmen have to be so brave?! Hearts of rebels to the last. (Tears freeze in outer space, right?)

Yup, this is exactly why I love the rebel alliance. Pretty much every damn one of them is a hero.
More like rip constinten
Konstantine's supidity is what actually saved those rebels scum !
The gravity well generator ships are the Interdictors (like the word "interdiction")... ;) I'm not good with a ton of Star Wars lore, but I at least picked up that one bit. :D
*crosses fingers hoping part 2 will be uploaded tonight as well*
Andrew Fedge did any of those rebels capital ships or cruisers shoot back cause it looked like they didn't?
Offhand I don't actually recall the rebel ships shooting back much. I think the visual effects were more interested in making it look REALLY DIRE for the rebellion. Which, y'know, they succeeded at. :D
Nebulon B Frigates & Corellian Corvettes are no match for Star Destroyers.
Don't the Corvettes only have like the one turret on top and a few light cannons on the front? Not much in the way of firepower. They're more about speed and scouting, and even then, I doubt they were ever meant to be warships in the first place. CABRALFAN27 yeah. The Braha'tok ships are gunships so those do more of the shooting but yeah you take what you can get in the Rebellion
I love Grand Admiral Thrawn
The voice work in these series (clone wars and Rebels) is beyond good and the KEY reason these shows are so good. Absolutely spot on and to get the actors who portrayed so many of these characters in the movies was another great decision.

Hera is the glue not just to the Phoenix Squadron but to the whole show. Taking an order from her would be an honor!
15:20 Interdictor Cruiser, or Immobilizer-418 Cruiser in Legends. Nebulons are not capital ships. The rebels capital ships were almost exclusively mon calamari.
Nicholas Wong yeah, i was about to say that too, they are frigates.
From what I’ve seen in Star Wars, corvettes and frigates are capital ships.
Kanan just bullied an ancient being into fighting for them
Kanan is good at bullying
12:33 Ezra, this is no time for a booty call
INTERDICTORS is the class of the star destroyers guys that lock down hyperspace :)
They interdict your jump ahahah
It was death waiting for this reaction!! But now I am happy.. :)
15:02 INTERDICTOR. ITS CALLED INTERDICTOR Blind Wave
The last battle between obi wan and maul was symbolic asf and I loved it
That Darth Maul figure is staring into my soul
Yes GOD YES, i could not went to sleep waiting for this, i simple love when you guys talk about star wars, please start a weekly podcast to talk only of star wars, make time please.
Agreed
man that space battle had so much of a return of the jedi feel, freaking awesome!
if part two isnt uploaded tonite im gona flip i love you guys to much and just getting part one feels like a super tease
FINALLY

Woah I was just wondering when this would be uploaded! You guys read my mind!
In-ter-dic-tor - An interdictor is a type of attack aircraft that operates far behind enemy lines, with the express intent of interdicting the enemy's military targets, most notably those involved in logistics. The interdiction prevents or delays enemy forces and

Woot! Been waiting for y'all's reaction!
"the interdiction of the slave trade"
2.
the action of intercepting and preventing the movement of a prohibited commodity or person.
"the interdiction of arms shipments"
The gravity well field ships are called Interdictors.
The music during Sato's sacrifice was intense.
It's spelled Interdictor Class Acordings to the Star Wars Armada Game by FFG.
Oh fuck. The guy that voices Dodonna is the guy that voices Medivh from the Warcraft games and WoW
I would like to point out I pretty accurately pointed out this episode's deaths, how they did it, and how the battle went with them barely escaping.
Blind wave? Isn't that how Kanan greets Hera?
the massassi are not native to yavin they're an ancient sith warrior class who followed naga sadow when he escaped (they were later modified and deformed by sadow)
"Last episode was the best episode of Star Wars Rebels."
"I dont remember it tough."
XD
Interdictor! They're straight out of the old West End Games Star Wars RPG. Zahn brought them into the old EU because Lucasfilm gave him the RPG sourcebooks to use as reference for the original Thrawn trilogy.
*patiently waits for part 2*
Just FYI the rebellion's frigates and corvettes are not "capital ships".
Jesus Christ that Tarkin voice is just as on point as the Obi-Wan last episode
It's pronounced Enter-Dic-Tor it's spelled Interdictor or Immobilizer 418 Cruisers and it uses a Vindicator Cruiser hull as the base for the ship
It's about time!!!
In an alternate world, Obi Wan marries Asajj Ventriss and is best friends with Maul and Savauge
gravity ship is called the interdictor!!!! go rebels
immobilizer 418 interdictor cruiser. proper name for the gravity well cruisers.
I hope we get a Shane and Aaron reaction on a new show I think that would be very entertaining
Lyle Johnston it's honestly the same thing but without Calvin or Eric
I wish the Imperial fleets would have more support craft. Rebels have frigates, cruisers, corvettes, etc... Imperials need some fighter screen ships and some lighter ships. "Summon spiders n shit"
xDDDD
Ah yes, the Interdictor cruiser...I loved using those in Empire at War games to stop the rebel scum from escaping the utter defeat I delivered them back in the good old days
The General Syndulla in Rogue One is confirmed by Pablo Hidalgo to be Hera.
Just for info, Mads Mikkelssen's brother voices the admiral :)
I do love me a good big fleet battle.
Hey here's your friendly reminder that Sato literally just got his nephew back..... sooo yeh....
Interdictor. In-TER-dict-or. To interdict is to block, stop, or intervene against.
the Obi wan Maul fight was to show the difference between light and dark also the purpose of training and wisdom obi wan got and how broken Maul was in the force the battle was already fought and lost
PART 2, PART 2, PART 2,PART2!
Thrawn does this thing with is eyes where they go wide and look cross eyed. It's kind of funny.
Yes!
Hera is the general in Rogue one
anyone notice that the symbols on Kanan's mask look like the marks on Rex's helmet?
Have you seen part two? It aired the same day.
Thrawn has a very similar voice to President Petrov from House of Cards :D
Because it's the same actor
I never understood why those rebels stayed

Victory class would have been perfect for air support in Part 2
rebels*were staying sir! my dudes!
I paused the video when Thrawn was talking to Tarkin and omf he looked like Snoke. Is it possible Tarkin somehow survived when the Death Star was destroyed?
RIP Sato
15 minutes is still a long, long time ago ... !!!
wishvesh chaturvedi no we don't get Star Wars early
CreepyHoboGaming Oh sorry !
Part 1 is perfect part 2 had some issues
Bros, it is called an Interdictor!
Zero just kamikazed Constantine.
Disney really knows how to make you feel emotion I mean I teared up when Soto sacrificed himself
WHOO!! :))
Unrelated topic, but why don't you go back and do reactions to the TV show Banshee. You may have to edit it like you do Game of Thrones, but it would be a good weekly reaction and with the show already ending there would be no gaps in reactions.
How many computer mouses do you go through in a week, with all of the pounding you do on them
Monday will feel incomplete without Rebels and Avatar. Perhaps Korra could fill the void. ;)
Inter-Dictor
Ben vs Maul (Perfect).
thing is asoka is not dead
DODONNA RAY
I have very mixed feelings about this episode.

AS Jedi-CommanderX I want to see rebel venators
Guys what's going on with iron fist when are you doing a reaction?
anyone else want there to Noghri in the deathtrooper amour
LET'S GO
This show doesn’t deserve the hate it gets, its just because of the weak and childish first 2 seasons then the straight up genocide in season 3 and 4
I recommend it to casual fans a lot more than Clone Wars. CW is hard to watch, too many episodes worth skipping, and a casual fan won't be bothered in selecting the ones that matter. Rebels, on the other hand, is shorter and more "stable", if that makes any sense.
Id hardly call season 2 and the grand inquisitor episodes weak
yes papi
Has anyone else noticed how an asian character made a kamikaze move?
In - ter - dic - tor. Just for future reference
Jupiter Fox! I wasn't gonna say it, but you're not wrong
Ich hope in season 4 wen See asoka and Cody
I feel like the kananxhera ship gained points this finale
Jeroogalo to me they basically confirmed it
Citlalli Guerrero mhm
Don't worry, the good guys will win. Their plot shielding is too strong, even for star destroyers.
13:50
let me help you guys, its pronounced as, in-ter-dic-tor
In-ter-dic-tor. Interdictor.
Konstantine sounds so naily
Monmothma was stupid for that
Why do you guys upload "2 part episodes" 1 at a time now?
you use to upload the whole thing in one go.
probably cuz the vid files were separated. When it aired on TV, they were separated into 2 episodes in its initial run. Twilight of the Apprentice aired in one go when it was first released so it was easier to find one whole video file.
They'll probably wait anywhere from a day to a week for non-Patreon viewers before uploading it here.
These were technically 2 episodes, so they did it like two different episodes. Makes perfect sense if you think about it.
Allows them to show more of the episode overall. Fair use allows for up to 10 minutes of footage to be used in one video.
GOOD)!
