- 55-year-old Simon Charles Dorante-Day has spent decades trying to prove one thing… that he is the secret love child of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles. The British-born engineer who now lives in Australia, says that his adoptive grandmother told him the Duchess of Cornwall was his mother back in 1998, and he now believes he has the evidence to prove it (including his Windsor-like cheek bones and teeth). The Royal couple have never responded to his claims, but he joins us today to share his story, and his hope of being reunited with his biological parents. We’ll also be putting his claims to Royal biographer Robert Jobson.

@@cosmosbeing2103 Eye colour can still change at a later age too. I used to babysit 3 children, mother was Norwegian, father Italian. All three had blue eyes and light blonde hair when they were little, the eldest stayed that way, but the younger two started turning brunette and their eyes were turning brown by 9 and 7.

He keeps saying he has 'proof', but refuses to show anyone his birth certificate which lists his birth parents, grandparents, date of birth and where he was actually born. He won't do a public heritage ancestry DNA test to show what his lineage may be. The adoptive grandmother, who raised him, told him this story because his actual parents gave him up.... as did many unmarried single mothers had to do back then. Release your birth certificate to the press mate. Then a background check can be done on your parents listed and dna tests on any possible surviving half siblings. He will never do that!
Simons true half sister has taken a DNA test so Simon can match his and put this all to rest, He refuses every time to take the DNA test. This man is just an attention seeker.
Either way, I hope he is given the chance to find out who his biological parents are.

For $100 you can find out who your real relatives are. I did as soon as it was available to the public. He says nothing about having done a DNA test. Just says he believes they're his parents. Well, why not do a DNA test, then? I would image I'm among millions who've found birth family that way. Surely he's heard of it.

I feel for Simon, I can't however say that I see any resemblance to either Camilla or Charles. But whether royal or not, I hope he finds out something about his parentage in the foreseeable future. Someone below has mentioned that DNA tests can show up who your cousins are.
Changing someone's eye colour is pretty drastic, especially in the early 70s. After all, blue eyes are pretty common in the UK. Most members of my family are blue eyed. When I was young I was told that Princess Anne looked like me and in later years was told I looked like Diana. I am 77 now and know exactly who my parents were so am not claiming anything. My husband was often told that he looked like Charles. His brother has resembled Andrew. Sometimes, we will see what we want to see. Not knowing one's origins can gnaw away at you. I hope Simon discovers his.

The royal family doesn't need a dna test. They know exactly who he is; they always have known. Their major tactic is to stonewall. The Firm has the advantage because they are essentially above the law. I wish him the best, but in think if and when he finally succeeds, he will find they are not the happy family he is hoping for. But still I wish him the best because, on balance I think his story is the truth. It just makes too much sense, and fits too well with how the life of Charles and Camilla unfolded. It explains their inability to give each other up. It explains Charles suddenly being sent to school in Australia for two terms, which was outside of royal precedent, and which is almost never referred to when his educational history is discussed.
Okay....I would say:
1. DNA paternity test..get Jerry Springer on the set ASAP and let hidden truths be revealed...AGAIN.
2. If he is their seed, protect him ASAP.

My father is adopted, as is my partner, it can be so tricky, the need for closure and knowledge is huge. Whether this gentleman is struggling mentally, or whether they are indeed his biological parents, I hope he finds closure and peace in whatever form it may come.
And the tendency to think your real family might be important....multiple adoptions in my family....at least one was thought to maybe related to the big house too, they weren’t at all
@@thatonethisone5904 my heart truly goes out to you, I am not directly adopted but as I mentioned, my father and partner were, as is a good friend of mine, and it’s like a hole that they just cannot seem to fill, regardless of whether the adoptive parents/family were lovely or not. My partner has a real fascination with heritage and blood, often saying to my daughter “that’s your Celtic blood making you that way” or “that’s your Scottish blood that gives you your curls” etc. My father is more subdued with it, he’s a man of pure love but few words, but on occasions I’ve spoken to him about it and he says it’s something he just cannot get out his head, they what if’s. My father often wonders if his birth mother has been looking for him, if she has passed away or still alive, who she is and where she comes from, strangely he isn’t so preoccupied with his birth father. I truly hope you can find peace in your heart someday, adoption is so common but the effects of such isn’t often spoken about. Sending best wishes from my family to yours.

Really, all he needs to do is get an ancestry DNA test and see who he matches with on there, it would quickly show clues as to distant cousins etc

He doesn’t have those strong Mountbatten genes that everyone in the family carries.
This can be easily solved. No Royal needs to take a dna test. Only he needs to and he can take any consumer genetics test (Ancestry or 23andMe would be best, and FamilyTree YDNA if he so chooses). If he has any close ish matches, 2nd-3rd cousin or closer, he’ll be able to tell who his ancestral family is on his own without much analysis.
Maybe he's already done that and maybe that's why he feels certain, however this must be done officially also he would want to hear them say the words and if it is true he deserves that. Simon and his family are proud beautiful people and his daughter does bear a striking resemblance to our late Queen. If a DNA test is so simple why don't C & C end all this by simply doing it ? .

It doesn’t really matter if they’re lovely people or he or his daughter look like them. That’s not science, though my opinion is that he doesn’t look like them much. All the descendants of that family have very similar features that are unmistakable.
It’s easier for a common person to take a DNA test than to go through the red tape of having a royal do it. If he has done one, instead of flying all over various news outlets, it’s be much easier for him to share the receipts. If he expects them to take a DNA test, he’d better at minimum show the genetic evidence he has in his possession. That’d be the best way to get their attention, anyway. Instead of writing unanswered letters, he’d simply have to show the genetic study he did from his own DNA test.
I personally don’t believe he has any such evidence, which is why he hasn’t shared it.

I was just saying familial DNA could tell him whether he has any ties to the family. If you were Camilla and you knew for a fact you hadn’t had a secret child at 18 you wouldn’t give this a second thought and definitely not giving some stranger claiming to be your son your DNA.
Well unless the laws have changed an illegitimate child can’t inherit the throne so there’s that. Also Camilla knows she if she had a child at 18 and if she didn’t there’s no way she’s giving him her DNA.
He could do a familial DNA test and see if he has any connection to the royal family whatsoever.

Why doesn’t he take a dna like on AncestryDNA test and upload to the public sites. This way he can at least find common matches to which he can find a trail leading somewhere.
Those tests are not as accurate as ancestry.com would have you believe in fact on the back of the test kit says for entertainment purposes only they have had identical twins take the test and get completely different answers
This is true it doesn't have to be 100% accurate, but it will pick up if he is related to the royal family somehow. He might even be related, although Camilla and Charles might most like not be his parents.

DNA can jump generations and get active long later. That is why black people can get a white child and the oposite and non of their siblings got that gene activated! I have malinesian DNA. But not anyone else in my family. That doesn't mean that the DNA test is wrong. It's just that that specific gene is active in me and not my siblings. Read more about DNA and how that works. That no one has the exact same DNA and that it jump generations. That I have a thread of DNA that my siblings don't even though it can be a small percentage and so on. But still my DNA shows that I am closer related to my parents than my siblings and that i am closer related to siblings than my cousins. But the futher away the family tree goes the harder it is to put the DNA right on the family tree. Still the DNA is correct because of it's abilitly to jump generations. So therefor a distant person can be related with me in a strain of the DNA but not in the family tree because of that it jumps generations. There is also. As you say different DNA tests for different purposes. But they aren't wrong unless you mess up the test and accidently happens to get another ones DNA with you.

Not necessarily. I had severe trauma for the first 14 years of my life and I forgot all of my life up until 14 and then didn’t start remembering until about a year ago. So trauma and change can be erased from your mind. A lot of survivors of abuse and traumatizing circumstances forget anything and anyone that reminds you of the trauma.
