tried my first run last night. we wiped a few times trying to get this chest, and when we finally made it, it never spawned. Is there a reason why it wouldnt spawn?
We got our first clear last night and most of these we incorporated. I suggested on Friday to my group to get everyone enlightened on the spaun side at bridge. It's good to know that's a suggestion from you as well.
0:44 the only problem with not using strongholds is that, crota will have a chance to beam you and or teammates while your trading the buffs (its happened to me so many times, teammates will be shooting him in the back and he will either rush over to me and slam me killing me, or shoot at me which causes me to run off and get shot by an oger a few seconds after they spawn, or a wizard)
That's probably because you're just standing there waiting to take buffs, instead of hiding under the Crota-Road, like I said in the video. You should only hop into the light at the moment you need to take. HOWEVER, this is a good case to use Lament - to block damage from Crota.
@@TheManoDestra yeah I go over to it the moment I need to swap it, and like I said, he targets me every time, but I do agree yes lament is good for blocking damage even without the exotic but it can only do so much when your already going to trade it, half HP, and everything attacks you, which has happened xd
Just saw that you were in Castle's guardian games competition, sad to see titans come out last, but you also got screwed over by the grandmaster glitch. Still must have been an amazing experience, keep up the amazing work!❤
Lament does substantially more damage than falling guillotine you just have to do the damage cycle in a very specific way. Also heavy attack from mid air it has more aggressive tracking.
Again, I think a LOT of commenters here are missing the point and conflating EASY with BEST --- In my multiple challenge clears on Crota, we used Lament, basically for the survivability, but we found with as much as he moved around, that Lament tracking was HIGHLY inconsistent. For players who are not super experienced, using Falling Guillotine or other swords is EASIER (notice I didn't say BEST) to use. It's literally hack and slash. Heavy Attack. Just making sure you get the context, thanks for watching!
well i mean, if you combo correctly with guillotine and have 2x lucent blade, you only need 10 light attacks for max damage and then every heavy attack costs 1 ammo
The reason I think Lament is still the go-to with Crota is: it provides moderate survivability with melee hits. It’s a quest exotic, so there’s no reason not to have it. Falling Guillotine hasn’t been in the game as a drop for over two years now, so not everyone is going to have one-let alone a decent roll. Not everyone bought one from Banshee. Outside of that, I’m sure Guillotine has the ease of use argument. I just think with a little practice anyone can casually drop 5 million damage on Crota with basic Lament work.
That's exactly the point - Again, like a few people on the video, there's a conflation of the word "BEST" with "EASY" Lament is tricky for some people to use and actually HIT Crota. Yes, it provides more Damage, but ONLY IF YOU HIT IT. The Ease of Use Argument is the exact reason for this video. It's not "18 BEST TIPS" It's "18 EASY TIPS" For Day One Contest Challenge? Totally used Lament.... but I've been using Lament since Beyond Light for Solo Flawless activities. Some, might not be so good. However, Lament is great out of the box, and it's still a good choice. Lament is just way more consistent. That's all. Thanks for watching, and appreciate you dropping a comment.
@@TheManoDestradid a run where 4 of us were using Lament and 2 guys were using the conditional + guillotine combo and they out damaged us by 1-2 million
@@thatguybgreen you’re still missing the point - it’s ease of use. Hell, bequest single hits can generally take out crota in 1 phase - but that’s not the point - it’s about what is easier to use/more consistent. On my day 1 challenge/contest clears, we totally used lament - but we all know how to hit our shots. It’s specifically designed for folks who were struggling after contest was over.
for the thrallway, my team just had someone preserve the chalice before the door closed, we didn't have to have someone race to get it. once the chalice was in the ads despawn and the doors opened.
Would love to do the deepsight chest but every group I've been in either gets all anteatered ruining it or its in a glitch state where the third encounter can't start.
Ir yut gets baked by pretty much everything. She’s very weak so saying thunderlord gets a 2 phase is expected. Rockets 1 phase if u hit shots and use a tractor instead of div and have god roll rockets
@TheManoDestra we had 2 well locks using Rain of Fire, a Tether Hunter using Divinity, 2 Strand Warlocks using the grenade fragment to reload and a Solar titan using the super hammer exotic arms. Enlightened 5 people before starting the encounter (grabbing buff through the ceiling) so we had 2 left to use for dps. All using solar surges, loaders, reserves and powerful friends Edit: in hindsight, the Titan should have been on Div so Hunter could dodge reload Xeno
My team is almost done. We just have two encounters left. We just got really tired cus It was 3 hourd in and 2am. But we even made a discord. I've never been with a more dedicated Lfg team honestly.
Hopefully more people watch tips like these I joined an LFG group that wanted to eager edge through the abyss and they yelled at three people that joined and said “ we can’t babysit you guys through the mechanics” I found another group that wasn’t so dumb and beat the raid in about 54 mins for my second clear
All good tips, but I still advocate the Stronghold Titan strat, as it keeps his focus off of the rest your group. And given you can quite easily 2 phase (3 just to be safe), it puts a lot less stress on the encounter. There's also the spawn point Osteo (other weapons I guess will work) strat, too, where one person stays there and keeps applying damage, as Crota tends to focus that person. Again, great vid! We love the 'all Enlightened' for the bridge so much. People complain cos it's slower, but for LFG's -- top tier. Same with 1st encounter; slow and steady. SO many LFG's using Eager and it just meses up the people that might be a little but slower.
For stronghold, just use it during ad clear and then swap it to Pyrogale for DPS phase. It's one click. Syntho-bonk hammer titan should also swap to pyrogale for DPS phase (if they aren't doing hammer stun).
You lose out on damage on the swap. I think a ton of you are forgetting that everyone knows that Hotswapping is now a basic function that everyone does. But that wasn't the point... The point is that the strat is UNNECESSARY. There's 0 reason to use it. We did the tractor method on CONTEST CHALLENGE, and basically 2 phased Crota then. Now it's a One-Phase, as long as everyone has their poop in a group. One way to not have your stuff together is to waste time switching from unnecessary strongholds, when you should just be doing damage. Also, talk to console folks about how long it might take to switch gear out. (Even to load into some console menus takes an inordinate amount of time) Lament, there is a case for, since you can swap out the Chalice and block Crota, the only point I was making there is that you can be more consistent with your F Guillotine shots if you are bad at Lament.
You don't swap during damage phase. you swap right before. Plenty of time as people are grouping up. Just because something works for your group doesn't mean it will just work for others. I have friends who get melted by Crota and need the crutch. Switching exotic arm pieces is easier than finding good friends. @@TheManoDestra
I made the mistake of using Eager Edge in that encounter. Lol. Also, for the Crota encounter, another spot you can use to hide is where you can put the chalice to Preserve it.
Another place is literally the rock formation on the right and left sides of the main platform between the towers where the boomers are. Nothing in melee can hit you and when you're ready to go up, just jump up.
The way my team did bridge was we had 2 people each side on the bridge minus the middle that had 1 and we had me tamimg the chalice to everyone so id grab chalice run it over to right aide pass to one guy on right then they get enlightened then they pass it to the other guy on roght then i bring it iver to left and mid and repeat till everyone enlightend then juat continue as normal 😊
Totally! But remember, you're probably more skilled players - YOu can one phase Ir Yut with tons of weapons, but everyone needs to have thumbs, LOL. That's why I posted the pinned comment earlier
One tip I’d recommend for Crota, before DPS, have everyone group up where the rally banner is. Crota will come towards you and it puts DPS far enough from the respawning boomers.
@@Kealoras I’ve only done 6 clears as of Tuesday, but I haven’t seen that happen. I’ve killed him 5 times near the rally flag. I have seen boomers nuke the whole group when doing DPS by the oversoul a bunch.
tips for falling guillotine, since nobody actually knows how to use it: if you have two copies of lucent blade on, this is your combo, light x5, heavy, light x5, heavy until you're out of ammo. you are now at max whirlwind stacks and lucent blades makes it so your heavy only costs one ammo each.
Hi since you don’t know how to use it either it’s 2-3 lights, heavy. My somewhat sarcastic comment aside, the sword buffs changed this rotation massively
I will always use Lament against Crota cause of the fact that it doesn’t devour my ammo so fast as Guillotine and it still do crazy dmg, combined with a good dmg super I do about 6mio dmg against him
if you're having ammo issues with guillotine, you aren't using it right. equip 2 lucent blade armor mods, then use this combo: 5x light attacks, heavy, 5x light attacks, heavy until ammo is gone. with lucent blades and whirlwind blade, your heavy will do maximum damage and cost 1 ammo per use
@@blufferoniandcheese3628 a heavy attack cost around 6 ammo as far as I remember, they nerfed guillotine a few years ago, 5x lights and 1x heavy is 11 ammo so this combo works around 6 times, every time I one phased Crota with Guillotine I didn’t have any ammo for this weapon in his final stand but with Lament I got easily 10-20 ammo left
If u wanna do better in it yut, get briars contempt with recon surrounded, it’s hands down the best damage I saw through multiple groups on day 1, way better than even thunder lord and arguably easier to use
That's not really a tip that makes sense - This is really for people who are struggling to raid, and may not have time to do multiple. There are good options right out of the box, like Sleeper/Levi's Breath. Thunderlord is literally just for folks who really struggle with hitting shots. That's all
@@ThriveOnEgo_ I don’t usually reload either, my super at the end of the recon clip usually fills enough for the rest of the phase, so it would be yeah if that were an issue
@@TheManoDestra this is literally the only use for this gun in the entire game, I get why people wouldn’t want it, all I’m saying is you wanna be at top of damage by up to double the next highest, get this gun.
The whole point is that you don't need it. He can't attack you if you're on the stairs and he's on the road. You're missing out on damage/debuff/distraction. It's Goated. Stronghold is not really great
@@TheManoDestra I understand that concept but can't you just swap the item when it's damage phase? When talking about initiating the damage phase, it's usually the swordbearer player that goes in first anyways.
@@mikeydubs_tv We pulled 4 people from LFG, and did Contest and Challenge Mode on Day 1. It's just a mixed bag. Sometimes, people are great, sometimes, they need help.
during contest mode, crota was a problem. i did it again last night, and tanked a wizard and crota for like 3 seconds without dying. if you have 10 resil, he genuinely isn't a problem
Now that contest is over, (and also that most people put a well down) generally you don't need that healing. F. Guillotine is easier to use, but if you can hit your shots, totally use Lament.
Great Vid! We are doing the bridge enocunter the exact same way you just showed and it works beautifully. Also, we onephased Ir Yut with Thunderlord lmao
There seems to be a weird interaction that can happen with Ir Yut and 5 thunderlords. My team would get her well past her health gate with a few seconds remaining, but we would wipe anyways. This happened many times during contest and it only happened with thunderlord, not sure what was causing it.
So what’s wrong with strongholds? I keep his agro on me the whole encounter with strongholds ( so the other 5 do the chalice mechanic without Crota ever going near them or shooting them) and the moment my team goes to take him down I switch to the new burning Maul gloves. No downtime or loss of DPS
I’m more speaking of the whole part of the fight prior to breaking his shield. You commented saying that if he is on the road and you are on the stairs he won’t shoot, but why restrict your team to always being on the stairs (assuming Crota isn’t directly infront of them) when you can just take 3 seconds to swap to a damage exotic. Same as how teams used HOIL then swapped to cuirass for dps, an encounter exotic then a dps exotic the tried and true formula of destiny 2 😂
My only argument is that you point out stronghold is bad because it’s not a damage exotic but people have been doing that for years and just swap during dps. Crota makes it even easier cause the dps only starts after shield break which gives time to exotic swap while your team breaks the shield
@TheManoDestra I invite you to rewatch your own video. You talk about cheese spots to hide from crota and the boomers but hey you don't need those at all if he isn't in the fight. Strongholds also allow crota to be baited away from the exchange zones up top. I think that no strongholds is just an elitist BS take my guy. There is not a siglngle loss of dps in that encounter especially if you are going to 2 phase him anyway. And for a guy that's going to suggest thunderlord for the Witch you have no place to talk about dps loss.
Negative, Levi's was good ONLY if you have the catalyst, and many DONT(used it on Challenge Clear on Day 1) After seeing Thunderlord? YIKES, so much easier. If I was doing a 3-man, I'd definitely use Levi's. But so many people struggle to use bows, it's just so much easier to T-Lord. And it one phases.... on CONTEST. I basically posted the rationale for this in the pinned comment. I'll try sleeper, but with the nerfs to Linears, it might be the only choice. Will test and get back to you.
@@crime_dog27 It's EASY (not best) on Ir Yut, Crota should be swords for DPS. Lament is great but is INCONSISTENT for inexperienced players. F. Guillotine is easy mode.
I’ve taught multiple groups that way of doing Bridge. Makes is crazy easy!! The rest of the tips are all things I have been doing. Should have included grabbing the chalice before Ir Yut to get 5 people enlightened before the encounter starts.
@helpfulhow-tos you can grab the chalice that's upstairs in the locked room through the ceiling of the spawn area, if you move just close enough to pick it up but don't trigger the encounter you can give enlighten to 5 people then kill the last guy to put the chalice back and it doesn't cost a res
ABSOLUTELY - you can still use lament, it's just not easy/consistent all the time. Bequest is a good choice as well with Relentless Strikes! (Deep Stone Crypt Sword)
Two other vortex frames. You can craft Death's Razor if you're on Warlock and there's also Razor's Edge, the Iron Banner sword. I'd go with crafting Thin Precipice or Death's Razor for the enhanced perks.
I said it was “more consistent and better damage” I was a little brief here, mostly because I wanted to keep the video short: if you are inexperienced with lament, then FG is ok to use, as it’s EASY to use. We basically one phased the boss with 2 FGs, and 3 Laments with Tractor. With 5 Laments, Crota seems to move much more, unless you stun lock him with the Burning Mail super. When we did 2 FGs, and 3 laments, he seemed to move around less. I don’t know why. During my contest challenge clear, we were all experienced I. Using lament, so we just used that. However, like I said. Crota moves around, so if you miss you shot, was it worth it? That’s the point. Hope that makes sense to you.
@@TheManoDestra I feel like this video is based on things with their ease of use. Although FG is better, lament has better damage and ammo efficiency. The only downside of lament is people not knowing the perfect combo
This is bad advice. People don't use Lament for damage, they use it for the survivability. Having the lifesteal when Crota destroys your wells is the easiest way to sustain damage without having to back out.
That's fair, but you're using it as a substitute for bad movement. Lament's not bad, just can be hard to use for some. I think a lot of people are conflating EASY with BEST. They are 2 separate things. This is not aimed at the top players who've cleared it on contest, and can one phase everything - It's aimed at people who are still struggling.
Exactly. Even though I use Challenge/Contest footage, this is not a TIps guide for that. Basically just showing people EASY mode on Crota. That's all Thanks for watching! @@osamasayed5711
Just use banner of war or another well. If you have only one well and a bunch of hunters, you may want to look into just using rockets at that point from the top platform and getting the easy one phase.
Relentless strikes and Whirlwind, however if you can hit your combo with laments, it IS still better. The problem is that some people are not great at hitting their combos.
thunderlord is a terrible choice for Ir yut. Since there is a divinity bubble, you can use any much better weapons such as ALL linear FR. The best weapon that I tried was Leviathan's breath (with catalyst). Easy 1 phase in 20 seconds.
Hey DJ - Please check the pinned comment and pinned video. I think you missed what I was saying, thanks. Also, you should be using Sleeper Simulant now. Best Wishes
It is but this video is for anyone struggling in normal. These are supposed to be easy strats, not best in slot strats that seems to be a thing that a lot of people are missing in the comments. It’s turn off brain mode, and just survive.
Is there a way to keep Banner of War active if you are a Swordsman? I try to keep it up as much as possible trying to save it for Crota but it keeping going away even when my teammates try to help keep it up. I guess the adds in the middle don't really help either since we clear them all in order to keep ourselves safe
That’s really why I have anyone who is running Banner of war take care of the boomers, or maybe a stray wizard that is out. You only really need it or to get healing in case if he doesn’t get down right away.
I understand the point of guillotine over lament cause it is EASIER, but I’d still recommend lament cause crota still destroys wells and can kill fairly easy without a form of healing plus when you are frequently using lament you’ll eventually teach yourself how to use it in a more efficient way then guillotine
We basically one phased him using a combination of Laments and FGs. There's something about multiple laments that causes him to "bounce" and cause some tracking issues. I wonder if using 1 or 2 FGs can keep him on the ground easier. Again, the point is EASE OF USE, that's why the video is named "EASY TIPS" instead of BEST IN SLOT TIPS. It's for people who haven't already figured out and are struggling to get it done.
@@TheManoDestra you just need a burning maul titan spamming heavy attack, that stun locks him in place until the super is up. I think it’s also fair to use a guillotine with witherhoard cause that probably will do more damage however only one person can benefit from that so you can’t have multiple people using it. And I get that you said EASY over BEST, I acknowledged that in my comment. But sometimes if you want that easier one phase you have to use the best in slot weapon in which case I advised that a player should use lament over guillotine and practice with it
@@TheManoDestra and also having a stronghold titan is still good not because it keeps him in the typical spot you’d see for damage but because it makes it much easier for the other 5 players passing around the relic and taking out the majors. But I do agree with the tractor user jumping off the side to grab crotas attention so the sword bearers can get easy hits
Question on the bridge, In order to hold the bridge from the away side 3 sword bearers need to be killed correct? Or how were you able to have only 3 people in the away side (the chalice guy, and 2 swords)?
NO, you just need people on the away side to hold plates on THAT side. It has NOTHING to do with Swords/Chalice. (So one on center plate, 2 on the annihalitor totems) That's all that's required to build the bridge without dying.
@@TheManoDestra ill try it then because I attempted to do that yesterday and but the totems on the home side were still active, maybe our timinh was wrong, thanks!

Haven't tried overture - BUT - the point is to make a tip for people who are struggling - If they struggle with hitting shots, then activating alternative fire might be tricky too. Sleeper is pretty nice though, NGL
The best dps sword is crown splitter for titans. If you jump for the first heavy slam you can do a second heavy attack right after. Does way more damage than either lament or guillotine.
Bonus tip for the first encounter: Woven mail keeps you from getting one shot by the pendulums. Titans I wanna see you give that to yer teammates and heal em with banner of war. Do it.
@@fatmilf1498 it is, check the pinned comment. I think a lot of you are conflating EASY with BEST. They are 2 separate things. The goal of this is to show players WHO ARE STRUGGLING with what they should do. T-Lord has a much lower skill requirement than Levi's Breath. That's the point.
If you still want to use Lament for Crota DPS (and in my opinion is better than falling Guillotine), I recommend using 3 charged single swings, followed by a heavy charged swing, followed by 3 regular light swings, then rinse and repeat.
You can technically do 4 charged light swings instead of 3, but I find 3 to be more consistent and haven't tested the damage difference between 3 charged light swings compared to 4.
oh yeah, me too! Used it on Day 1 Contest and CHALLENGE Clears - Again, it's more about HITTING YOUR SHOTS - Some people just struggle with the combo on Lament, and so to be able to spin-to-win (F. Guillotine) is easier. It also seems that you can keep him on the ground better if you have a a few on F. Guillotine and the rest on Lament, it keeps him from moving around a ton. (Better than the stun lock titan super option)
Yes, but you lose lots of damage time, and it’s a giant waste of time to do it. If you play on Console, which a vast majority of the population of Destiny 2 players do, sometimes switching between different pieces of gear, and loading up the menu, can take a while. And you don’t even need to do it. If it wasn’t needed on contest, and it wasn’t needed on challenge either.
@@KurtisRupnow Except, you're missing out on a HUGE amount of damage. LOL It is a 2 phase, but again, some people struggle. The idea is to make it as easy as possible. In my multiple challenge clears on Crota, we used Lament, basically for the survivability, but we found with as much as he moved around, that Lament tracking was HIGHLY inconsistent.
For players who are not super experienced, using Falling Guillotine or other swords is EASIER (notice I didn't say BEST) to use. It's literally hack and slash. Heavy Attack.
Just making sure you get the context, thanks for watching!
@@TheManoDestra totally makes more sense!
@@axffxa3792 Awesome, glad to hear
@@TheManoDestraCapping to 60 fps gives consistent sword tracking
well i mean, if you combo correctly with guillotine and have 2x lucent blade, you only need 10 light attacks for max damage and then every heavy attack costs 1 ammo
Actually the thrallway, you dont have to run for the door, simply have chalice and bank it, that stops the door
For the 2nd encounter (bridge) just grab chalice and enlighten your totem ppl before you build bridge.
The reason I think Lament is still the go-to with Crota is:
it provides moderate survivability with melee hits.
That's exactly the point - Again, like a few people on the video, there's a conflation of the word "BEST" with "EASY"
Lament is tricky for some people to use and actually HIT Crota. Yes, it provides more Damage, but ONLY IF YOU HIT IT.
The Ease of Use Argument is the exact reason for this video. It's not "18 BEST TIPS" It's "18 EASY TIPS"
For Day One Contest Challenge? Totally used Lament.... but I've been using Lament since Beyond Light for Solo Flawless activities. Some, might not be so good. However, Lament is great out of the box, and it's still a good choice. Lament is just way more consistent. That's all.
Thanks for watching, and appreciate you dropping a comment.
My biggest point isn’t laments use, it’s accessibility. Everyone has/can have lament in short time. Not everyone can get Guillotine.
@@TheManoDestra think you gotta read again. I was agreeing with your point. “OUR” laments were out damaged by people using Guillotine.
for the thrallway, my team just had someone preserve the chalice before the door closed, we didn't have to have someone race to get it. once the chalice was in the ads despawn and the doors opened.
Yep, I could have been clearer on this, so I posted a video at that time marker, and wrote “deposit chalice” as well. It’s a good call out!
Leviathans breath does a lot more then thunder lord 😊

Would love to do the deepsight chest but every group I've been in either gets all anteatered ruining it or its in a glitch state where the third encounter can't start.
oof, sorry to hear that
Ir yut gets baked by pretty much everything. She’s very weak so saying thunderlord gets a 2 phase is expected. Rockets 1 phase if u hit shots and use a tractor instead of div and have god roll rockets
1 phased Ir Yut with Xenophage yesterday, it took a few attempts and setup optimisation but Xeno is the way
Xeno with Titans (Actium) or Warlocks (Rain of Fire) is actually really nice!
All using solar surges, loaders, reserves and powerful friends
Edit: in hindsight, the Titan should have been on Div so Hunter could dodge reload Xeno
My team is almost done. We just have two encounters left. We just got really tired cus It was 3 hourd in and 2am. But we even made a discord. I've never been with a more dedicated Lfg team honestly.
I hope these tips help you out! Get that Week 1 Clear!!!
Bro the way you explain everything.. love bro.. 🔥😍😍🔥🔥🔥😍😍🔥
Hopefully more people watch tips like these I joined an LFG group that wanted to eager edge through the abyss and they yelled at three people that joined and said “ we can’t babysit you guys through the mechanics” I found another group that wasn’t so dumb and beat the raid in about 54 mins for my second clear
Glad the tips helped!
Dear god don’t. I’m sorry. Some are helpful but if I meet lfgs using thunderlord on ir yut I’m leaving lol
Thanks dude
All good tips, but I still advocate the Stronghold Titan strat, as it keeps his focus off of the rest your group. And given you can quite easily 2 phase (3 just to be safe), it puts a lot less stress on the encounter.
There's also the spawn point Osteo (other weapons I guess will work) strat, too, where one person stays there and keeps applying damage, as Crota tends to focus that person.
Again, great vid! We love the 'all Enlightened' for the bridge so much. People complain cos it's slower, but for LFG's -- top tier. Same with 1st encounter; slow and steady. SO many LFG's using Eager and it just meses up the people that might be a little but slower.
also you can just hot swap to pyrogale at the start of dps
this is true, specially with Syntho, too. @@callumella8812
Save one boomer night ready to kill and no adds spawn down below of you’re struggling. We did that on contest mode, made it considerably less hectic.
Interesting. We did our Contest Challenge clear and just always killed boomers on the right. Dummy Easy!
(Even to load into some console menus takes an inordinate amount of time)
Lament, there is a case for, since you can swap out the Chalice and block Crota, the only point I was making there is that you can be more consistent with your F Guillotine shots if you are bad at Lament.

Another place is literally the rock formation on the right and left sides of the main platform between the towers where the boomers are. Nothing in melee can hit you and when you're ready to go up, just jump up.

One tip I’d recommend for Crota, before DPS, have everyone group up where the rally banner is. Crota will come towards you and it puts DPS far enough from the respawning boomers.
Except if he’s on the plate sometimes he’ll float and mess up lament combos or push people into a wall and kill them

tips for falling guillotine, since nobody actually knows how to use it: if you have two copies of lucent blade on, this is your combo, light x5, heavy, light x5, heavy until you're out of ammo. you are now at max whirlwind stacks and lucent blades makes it so your heavy only costs one ammo each.
@@blufferoniandcheese3628heavy attacks do not consume 1 ammo anymore
@@blufferoniandcheese3628 a heavy attack cost around 6 ammo as far as I remember, they nerfed guillotine a few years ago, 5x lights and 1x heavy is 11 ammo so this combo works around 6 times, every time I one phased Crota with Guillotine I didn’t have any ammo for this weapon in his final stand but with Lament I got easily 10-20 ammo left

That's not really a tip that makes sense - This is really for people who are struggling to raid, and may not have time to do multiple. There are good options right out of the box, like Sleeper/Levi's Breath. Thunderlord is literally just for folks who really struggle with hitting shots. That's all
rewind rounds is better since you dont need to reload

The whole point of stronghold is keeping Crota busy so he doesn't snipe people. Super great strat.

Sleeper Looks good too, but folks just have to hit their shots!
There seems to be a weird interaction that can happen with Ir Yut and 5 thunderlords. My team would get her well past her health gate with a few seconds remaining, but we would wipe anyways. This happened many times during contest and it only happened with thunderlord, not sure what was causing it.
Will have to check that out!
Really helpful tips! Thanks a bunch!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!!!!
It's a waste of time. Can just hit with Tractor, and distract, and instant DPS. I'd invite you to rewatch it, just to see how optimized it is!
I have yet to even to do that Raid for my first time ever 😅 and kings fall as well 😅 lol
We struggled on bridge for a good hour maybe two and then we tried the all enlighten Strat and it was I think 2 tries
A better weapon to use on Ir Yut: Leviathan's Breath (and Sleeper Simulant) both can one phase her
Negative, Levi's was good ONLY if you have the catalyst, and many DONT(used it on Challenge Clear on Day 1)
After seeing Thunderlord? YIKES, so much easier. If I was doing a 3-man, I'd definitely use Levi's. But so many people struggle to use bows, it's just so much easier to T-Lord. And it one phases.... on CONTEST. I basically posted the rationale for this in the pinned comment.

Hey, Mano, are there any swords that can sub out for Falling Guillotine? Like Thin Precipice or Hero of Ages?
ABSOLUTELY - you can still use lament, it's just not easy/consistent all the time. Bequest is a good choice as well with Relentless Strikes! (Deep Stone Crypt Sword)
Two other vortex frames. You can craft Death's Razor if you're on Warlock and there's also Razor's Edge, the Iron Banner sword. I'd go with crafting Thin Precipice or Death's Razor for the enhanced perks.
You can’t say falling G is better than lament

Solution to a potential well break is more wells. Doesnt break on non contest that often though.
Haven't used swords much yet - I have lament but prefer other exotics - what is the ideal roll for FG?
Relentless strikes and Whirlwind, however if you can hit your combo with laments, it IS still better. The problem is that some people are not great at hitting their combos.
thunderlord is a terrible choice for Ir yut. Since there is a divinity bubble, you can use any much better weapons such as ALL linear FR. The best weapon that I tried was Leviathan's breath (with catalyst). Easy 1 phase in 20 seconds.

Risk runner and feedback gauntlets for arc titans was easy mode on contest in the lanterns. Might be a bit overkill for normal mode though?? 🤷♂️
It is but this video is for anyone struggling in normal. These are supposed to be easy strats, not best in slot strats that seems to be a thing that a lot of people are missing in the comments. It’s turn off brain mode, and just survive.
Linears with triple tap and firing line will knock her health to 3/4 with well and cuirass titans
Sleepers will 1 Phase, as will Levi's Breath :)
So for the bridge thing once we swap off the chalice, we go straight to one of the other plates instead of speeding up the bridge?
Its fine as long as everyone can hit their combos. If they can't then the loss of damage is on them! If they can hit it, then more power to them!

Used it on Day 1 Contest and CHALLENGE Clears -
Again, it's more about HITTING YOUR SHOTS - Some people just struggle with the combo on Lament, and so to be able to spin-to-win (F. Guillotine) is easier. It also seems that you can keep him on the ground better if you have a a few on F. Guillotine and the rest on Lament, it keeps him from moving around a ton. (Better than the stun lock titan super option)
did u now you can switch gountlets from strongholds to pyrogale
Yes, but you lose lots of damage time, and it’s a giant waste of time to do it. If you play on Console, which a vast majority of the population of Destiny 2 players do, sometimes switching between different pieces of gear, and loading up the menu, can take a while. And you don’t even need to do it. If it wasn’t needed on contest, and it wasn’t needed on challenge either.
@@KurtisRupnow Except, you're missing out on a HUGE amount of damage. LOL It is a 2 phase, but again, some people struggle. The idea is to make it as easy as possible.
