I sent you that Sager head in February of 2018. It looks great on a handle and seems to split well. I’m glad it turned into something positive for you and whoever ended up ordering it.
Good evening Billy. My 6 year old son and I are catching up on your videos tonight. We miss seeing you everyday. We have saved all the videos and now we are binge watching them. Have a blessed weekend.
You got your workout today Buckin. You were windmilling that 5 pound double bit into that piece of concrete..that will get the old heart pumping! I can tell you have lost weight. Awesome Billy Ray...love you brother!
I know you wanted to keep this one Buckin', but that's the amazing guy you are. You let it go to share the love that the axe has brought you, and that's just amazing. I found myself a Sager I absolutely fell in love with as soon as I saw it, but I know it would have some sentimental value to one of my best friends. I will be putting a handle on it that he found at his in-laws old property before they sold it and will be sending it back to him. He doesn't know it yet.
100% agree with your message on change Buckin! Change only happens when the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the effort it takes to change it...
That axe actually seemed to handle that maple pretty well. Axes are just cool. I always liked tools and thought axes were the high end of cool tools. I didn't get to use one until I was in my 30s. Now I'm living my dreams, getting to use them everyday and work on them.
I'm almost 64 & I split wood all year long not everyday but pretty close to it. I started when I was 13 and I hit & hit & hit & hit but couldn't split until I watched and asked questions. My brother in law said he wanted me to get it out of my system of being a stubborn ass kid. It took me about 2 hours on my own & I was ready to learn. I have been flicking since I was 13 1/2 plus it helps you develop strength in your forearms
This has to be the best Flick video yet. Wish i could get my ax 🎸 to sound like that. Incredible slow mo audio. With the cars whizzing by gave a deeper outer space / lazer beam sounds. Love your flicks/movies/videos/talks and testimonials, thanks Buckin for being real and all the kind people that come to the channel. Thumbs up folks, Buckin's on a roll. 💨
Hi Buckin‘ Nice doublehead … 😇 I‘m happy as an treeclimber and -faller. I love it : I can work with chainsaws and do crazy and freaky stuff. 😅 Thanks to you and the community. You‘re all awesome! Climb high, cut low and stay safe! Best regards, Dirk 🤜🌳🌲🪵🤛
Buckin, you are in my world, only crotch maple here. Your hard smart swings were really inspiring, You are 10x's more efficient than me. Fantastic. Jim P. (61)
Guys im dead serious i wish i could afford to put up heavy donations right now, but in time I'll be where i wanna be. But maaan when it comes to purchasing a wood bullet or something of the like, now thats something that'll pay for itself over and over. Love to the community. And to you Buckin.
Buck'n... Just love watching your videos and especially watching you destroy those logs with the double heads. Split some oak today with some of that craziness but nobody does it like you do... thanks for the inspiration!!
Hey Buckin'! I used to rebuild those starters in my sleep back in the '80's. Had almost as much fun as you did with hat gnarly piece a few minutes ago. Good warm-up for what I'm doing now.
Great observation, that slow motion stuff is super cool. Supposedly the only way to get your lymph fluid to move through your body is through motion, and you can garantee stronger bones with the solid hits of chopping. Coach Buckin is showing me how it's done once i reach beast mode. 💪
Lol, I don’t go looking for hard wood to split either. It just happens to find its way into my yard. One of these days I’ll have to get a double bit and try that. I like splitting tough wood. Let’s you get out some emotions. Great video, stay safe.
When you're a beatin on that log as hard as you can, and the axe just bounces off...time to move on. Save your axe handle, and your handles ( arms that is lol. ) You are absolutely right Buckin, pain is the best teacher in the world. If you don't learn from pain, you're gonna feel it again and again.

Those cedars are beautiful we have some native varieties in Manitoba but nothing that big and the one's we do have are usually located in swamps and bogs or on the edge of them. I'll be pretty sad if I don't get pay a visit to B.C. this year.

My granddaughter will be the 8th person to own this land. Our heritage. I pray I live long enough to teach her to appreciate and love this land just as much as her ancestors.
That's just amazing of u an something most people don't even try nowadays!!! Cherish that land an those axes an props to u i truly applaud u sir thank u.
Thank you very much. Both axes are beside my fireplace. I breaks my heart to see family land split up and sold. But if you think about it it’s no different than anything else in this country and that’s the decline of family values. The past two mornings I’ve picked my father up 0500 to go turkey hunting. He used to carry me now it’s my turn to carry him. I thank the Lord constantly for his blessings.
Hey Buckin, what's your preferred fuel line brand/make? If you do have one that is. Not much choice or determining if the stuff i buy is i'm guessing Chinese made as it hardens so fast. It's costing a small fortune in replacing as im a gardener many tools need replacing.
I have a huge maple that was taken down two years ago. I bought an 8-pound wedge splitter and I just can't get it to split. When the weather gets better I'd like to get a video of it and send it to you. All the large limbs I could split Now I am down to the trunk and it's like a tank. and now There are funny-looking things growing off the wood. I've debarked the wood most of it. But I will not give up until I can get this wood busted up and stacked for burning.
Love those double bit axes 🪓 glad to see that you liked some of the heads l sent you . That old truck is going to work again , she’ll pack a load . Have a great day Billy

Today I tried to split on the ground for the first time. On second swing I chipped the edge on my new axe. I am happy it was only fiskars. I may buy something nice in the future. But for the purpouse of work and learning technique I bought fiskars. should i try the flick technique? How do you avoid it?
Definitely try the flick technique. And if the wood you are trying to split is big you should try hitting the spot you want to hit at an angle (diagonally), after you first cracked it. Also try hitting the outside of a big round, instead of trying crack it in the middle.
this is what 99% of the firewood I get looks like and maple is one of the easiest to split knots in with norway maple being close to splitting like butter and silver maple being full of birdseye making it more challenging but none of the trees around me grow without massive knots or crotches
