Indeed, his scenes in “Kilukkam” are some of the most memorable comedy scenes in Malayalam that generations have enjoyed, and are part of memes even today 😀👍
Especially that "dushman" dialogue with Jagathy Sreekumar.
And he never got a chance in any role apart from the "typical" vilan role in bollywood movies..
@@antrikshbhatnagar But Telugu industry gave him many hero supporting roles
absolutely. It is so nice to hear him talk about it. In fact, I feel a sense of closeness to this actor. It would be nice to see him in more films.
Hi Bobby, Great to meet you again. 🧑💻✈
Absolutely hilarious scene....😂
The malayalam film industry is so blessed to have had such a legend being a part of it. You sir, made our childhoods a lot more interesting. Sharat Saxena ji, you are so loved here by us and will always be. It's not your loss, but our loss to not have you in more films.
Compliments to Sharat Saxena for remembering the names of all the movies, artists, directors and cameramen in his story with remarkable accuracy and pronunciation ❤
i checked all name in wiki he said all are accurate , his memories is so good
except the actresses vijayashanthi/khushboo i guess
@@erikf7560 Yes. He couldn't remember Vijayashanthi the heroine in Mannan and Khushbu. But as you said he tried very much to remember the other actors, directors, movies and co stars names👍
At last he is a engineer 😊
@@harikrishnank1312 he may've acted on camera about forgetting them or saw them as inferiors as they're just women (i mean come on dude who wud forget vijayashanthi/khushboo) cuz he stated in an article that stars dont invite him to their parties/meetups
His role in Kilukkam movie was epic... Malayalis know all his dialogues by-heart. Such a Legend.
"Mujhe maalum.... " 😅

His longevity in films is unbelievable. He was in films in the 70s, still going strong. God bless.
Good diet, exercise, relaxing lifestyle and good 🥃 behind that..

I fondly remember watching the shooting of that film in Saradhi studios ameerpet ..where he is the main Villian and his sons role is played by another hindi guy .. He should be celebrated for looking young and fit instead of Anil Kapoor. Please do more Tamil movies Sir 🤩🙏🏽

I don't know why most of the Indian villains are so humble...inreal life.good to watch their talkshow
he is a very good actor without big recognition. But, as a Telugu boy i watched him in so many movies and he is wonderful actor over the years. we all love him for his dedication and contribution to south films. God bless you Sir
He used to be so good that I thought he was a telugu guy working in Bollywood. Bollywood actors working in Southern movie industry was almost unheard of back in the day. I think him, the late Amrish Puri and Paresh Rawal were some of the earliest of the bollywood actors to venture into Telugu films. I am not so sure about other South Indian languages though.
Other actors like Mukesh Rishi, Puneeth Issar, Raza Murad soon followed suit.
@@sakethmadugula9964 Pradeep Rawath who acted as Subbaraj's father in Desamuduru also
That is why we appreciate south industry over bollywood. 🙏
Sharat Saxena is a legend for us Malayalis! Unforgettable actor. Wish him the best of health and everlasting happiness.

The statement from him "... Iam in a pretty good place.." sums up Sharat Saxena's contentment and satisfaction of what he could do and cannot do(further). He is a happy man... We malayalees started adoring him after one scene in Kilukkam movie..😅 what a scene played by Jagathy Sreekumar and Sharat Saxena.

Sharat Sexena was big in South industry ( esp Telugu) as he was main villain opposite top stars in many hit films. Nice to see him happy/content and semi-retired.
Also did supporting roles in movies like "Simhadri", "Bunny"
U SEE NIRNAYAM. HERO NAGARJUNA TELUGU MOVIE... SCARY ROLE IN THIS.. LOT OF GOOD TELUGU MOVIES HE DID.. EWUAL TO HEROS ROLE...
It is good to see that some actors who did small roles in movies initially, are such fine human beings. I greatly admire the film industry, because it is perhaps the only industry where success and failure cannot be determined or predicted. After such hard work, the project can fly, or can go down the drain. The reward is that the project is preserved. Sometimes, the movies which didn't do well, become cult classic later. Hats off to all those who work in the film industry, in whatever capacity!👍
My most favourite villian...and a human being too..how well maintained he is..physically and mentally...an engineer by qualification...an actor/villian by profession...an fit personality by physique...he deserves much more than this😢
Such a good pronunciation of Tamil and telugu movie titles. Perfect sir. My respect
He was a popular face in Southern Movie Industries from late 80's to 90's! Fabulous and down to earth person!

Being a Malayali, I can vouch for every word he said. We indeed love his work in Kilukkam

I liked his performance in my all time favorite Malayalam movie Kilukkam.❤
I loved when he was talking about Priyadarshan & even showed that how humble Priyettan is by calling Alphonse Puthren as the best director of Kerala. ❤

Sir, we would like to see you in many more Malayalam films. Your role in 'Kilukkam' was spectacular and very memorable. Although your character had intimidating scary scenes, it also had some funny combo scenes with JAGATHY sir and watching those scenes no matter how many times, of your character shaking his character down for answers, stomping him, and putting him time and time again in hospital bed, makes us all laugh till we drop to the floor.
It's sad that Jagathy sir is in no condition currently to act (after his car accident) and we miss him a lot. He is a legend, and we love him for his amazing comedy performances. But watching those comedy scenes, especially your scene with Jagathy sir, reminds us of those good old days, and to me personally it gives me the break and comic relief, from the stresses in life.
Btw sir, I agree that it is always best when film industries let North Indian actors to say lines in their own language (or then voice over with that regional language in post production), because that lets the actor give his 100% and not let the language barrier hold them down. In earlier days, directors had the sense to do that. Now, most of them want the actors to speak in Tamil or Telugu or Malayalam, which is so nonsensical...no wonder we don't get that impact the yesteryear films had.
HOPEFULLY WE GET TO SEE YOU IN GOOD ROLES again in South Indian films. I'll definitely watch those films.
With ❤️
