    I hear this and I get such a poignant burst of nostalgia...makes me cry. Just takes me back to when I was aged 20... life was a mix; of dressing to the ' new romantic' nines for all day discos - with no worries in my world - and the promise of a fantastic adventure still ahead of me. I never had a broken heart or gave one, still had all my loved ones round me and I was the happiest I have ever been in my life. Wish I could go back and live every precious moment of those years again. We who were having the time of our young lives in the eighties were surely the luckiest of all.

      Allow me to explain.
      Restoration gets rid of scratches and dirt plus colour correction.
      4k is resolution that it's scanned in.
      I simply said 4k restoration as why would you scan at 4k without any restoration unless the print is lucky enough to be pristine.

    What an insane talent George Michael is! Like... for musicians out there, you do realize my man sang this song in stacks, right? He panned one vocal left and the other right. And you can only tell in the second hook where one pitch slightly varied from the other. That shit is insane! Who is that accurate? In his prime, one of the best voices of all time.

    • @samaduampoma2449
      @samaduampoma2449 8 років тому +11

      Donald you are right! The musical standards in the 70s and 80s were much higher than they are today. No auto-tune or sampling. Real instruments, great vocals/harmonization and excellent production. I was 17 when this song was released in July 1983. It was made for my generation! I lived it!
      You are right about "panning" one vocal to the left and one to the right. The slight pitch variation you mentioned also give a nice "musical color" to the whole track. It's amazing. The horn section just makes the whole track "kick ass". And the slapping on the bass by session musician Deon Estus is first class! Enjoy. Cheers, Sam.
