THIS VIDEO'S COMMUNITY QUESTION: 10 years from now..... how old will you be and where do you see yourself?🤔 Put it in the comment sections and I’ll heart some of my favorites!:) 10 years from now, I will be 30 years old! SO OLD OMG, HAHAA! (no offense if there are 30 year olds reading this hehe) I hope to be married and pregnant with my first whittle baby! I hope to still be creating tons of new, unique content for my UA-cam Channel! Lastly, I am an econ major double concentrating in business analytics and entertainment and media, so I hopeee to possibly be working at a tech firm or in entertainment! ONLY TIME WILL TELLLL! But most importantly I want to be happy !☀️
Having graduated from Georgetown Univeristy with BA and MBA. I love that this group has dreams and aspirations. Never compromise your dreams. As a cybersecurity analyst who has worked at multiple IT Tech Fortune 500 companies in Japan, China, USA, India and Europe, and as a published writer penning the struggle for people of colour and social justice. I urge this group to research corporate systems and dichotomies and discrimination of young people, and people of colour. In the age of #BlackLivesMatter the corporate system drives the narrative. Never compromise your dreams. Realize the game is stacked. Fight for visibility, use your voice, your platform for change, do not let validation erase you . Speak your truth in integrity and passion. I wish you all the best. Live your dreams. Never compromise. Goodluck. Be fierce!
Can you include more students majoring in fields that might not always lead to the highest paying jobs? I'd love to hear from students majoring in the arts, music, human development (teaching), religious studies, and anything else that's usually not chosen for the salary.
WAIT THIS IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE SPOKEN ABOUT MORE!! i wish people were more transparent about salaries!! 10 years from now I hope to be running my own startup :)
That's so stupid lol. You can be a great doctor, help other people and still be interested in making a lot of money. By the way, medical school does not equal money for most residences. Your educational system is fucked and many aren't left with the choice of pursuing a medical field that won't allow them to pay off milliards of debt.
In 10 years I’ll be 26 😭 I’m prayingggg that I’ll graduate from my dream school UPenn for undergrad and graduating from a PA program from maybe Cornell or GWU. I see myself starting a nonprofit organization based in Africa (starting in Ghana) focusing on education and health services . I just want to be happily living my best life, changing lives, and to make my fam proud 🥺🙏🏾
I cringe when pre meds talk about how they are going to be living a lavish lifestyle. A wiseman once said " everyone's got dreams, until they get crushed by reality". I have found this saying to be true.
I’m headed to UCLA to get my PhD in medical physics! I just got my b.s. in physics😊 And in 10 years from now.. I’ll be 32 with a family and working as a radiation/ medical physicist and researcher. With a salary in the 200Ks😉
I’m not even in college anymore but I love these videos lol. Ten years from now I’ll be in a similar place as Issa Rae. I’ll have written, produced, and starred in a tv show of my own, and be overwhelmed by the amount of people who want me to help write/act in their scripts. Don’t really care for marriage, but I do care for a personal chef because I can’t cook for shit 🥴
In ten years I'll be 25. So i'll be almost done with my Physics PhD. By the next year I want to be finished with my PhD and get an astrophysicist job. I'll be single lol. And I'll hope everyone important in my life is alive and well :)
in 10 years I'll be 22! My two main interests are Astronomy and Politics, so I guess my career would be an Astronomer, or the first African American, female president (in my dreams lol). I hope I go to an Ivy League... I'm thinking about Columbia or Yale, preferably Yale. Marriage... I'm not too eager about it, but the only way I'm getting married is if I truly believe that I found the right one. Kids, not so sure about that right now. Hopefully I'll be a millionaire in the future. And be vegan. :)
@Arctic Pear Dude chill you’re 12. Why you thinking bout marriage now. I think in my opinion you seem to have a great future so just focus on killing it in life and after you’re set in career and life, then think bout marriage and kids. Good luck
Nobody's stopping you from being vegan now. I would honestly try it out while you're young so that when you're older, you can be like "Nah imma eat meat again" and you can have a higher appreciation for the quality and value of meals. And don't worry about growth. Many vegans just take supplements.
Is there a way u can get some Muslim college students and allow them to talk about their college experience being Muslim and/or being a person of color at Ivy League.
Being Muslim is not an ethnicity. It is a religion-coming from a Muslim. It would be better to say their experiences a Muslim in an increasingly anti Muslim world.
I ’m not in college anymore but Its interesting watching these videos. Being stuck in quarantine the past couple months , these videos have been on my recommended list . It’s great the country has so many bright minds that can make a difference in the future . Great dreams! For me I’ve never expected to be in a position of a Director for a media and tech company. Would love to encourage more to get into tech and be leaders in tech. And I love traveling, during the ten years have visited pretty much all the different corners of the world and will continue to do so . Good Luck to all!
In ten years I’ll be 24, I’m probably still studying cus I really want to be a surgeon. But I hope that I get into a really good college. Right now I’m really interested in cambridge, Harvard and UPenn, but it’s really hard to get into it. I have good grades but I have really bad luck at the same time ://, I just want to be successful and then form a family.
Ten years from now I'll be 29. It's still a very young age for me and very early in my career so I hope to still have the drive to run around and hustle instead of settling down. I'd love to be around the Washington/Oregon area (I'm in Texas rn for college). Hopefully doing some start-up businesses (Partially why I'd love to be in Washington) while working my full-time engineering job. Not seeing myself married by then but a long-term partner would be awesome :) We'll return in 10 years and see where I'm at!
In ten years from today, I’ll be 26, almost 27, and hopefully I will be in my first year of dermatology residency and writing on bioethics and medical law 😊. I hope that by then I’ll have one cat, a dog, and hopefully a boyfriend, we’ll see.
In 10 years I hope to have a degree in some kind of science. I have a learning disability and am doing everything I can to get tested so I can get the help I need to pass and be successful like you guys. Its going to be 10x harder for me but im willing to put the work in. I am a cna, esthetician and massage therapist and want to have a set career. I did all this when I was 18-20 yrs old. Ready for my big girl career!
Thanks again Domonique! You definitely forced me to think about my future with this video 😂 I have a lot of planning to do. Reminder that college is not the last step guys! It’s only the beginning 💓
In ten years, I’ll be 27, and hopefully by then I would be at least a assistant professor at Cornell for Architecture teaching the next generation of architects and designers, I also want to be finish with my architecture licensing exams and be working for a firm focusing in environmental architecture and fabrication architecture. I don’t see myself married or anything, but I want to be comfortable enough to help with my family and make my parents proud as being the first in my family to graduate college and to show the world that a low income black student can do anything and become successful. I would also like to start a college admissions firm to help other low income student who want to major in architecture, art, landscape architecture, product or industrial design, and urban planning. Amazing video as always.
Wow!! We pretty much have the same goals/background-I’m interested in design and am also a black, low-income student. I just graduated from an arts high school and I was admitted to Cornell for architecture, but I decided to go to Stanford. Though this was such a tough decision, after much thought I came to the realization that I want to take a break from the arts and explore other fields first before possibly getting my masters in architecture (with an environmental/urban focus). My journey was a bit chaotic lol but good luck with everything, you got this!!!
Aisha O first I want to congratulate you on getting in to amazing schools, and it’s really refreshing seeing a person in a similar situation and life as mine. I hope the best for you, and enjoy Stanford. Also thinks for the luck, am going to need it for this super chaotic and unique admission cycle, really hope I can get into Cornell this December for architecture.
Ten years from now I’ll be close to finishing off my residency to become a pediatrician. I might be living in Arizona or somewhere else in the southeast/southwest close to some family. I want to be in a fulfilling relationship looking forward to having my first child. But truly I just want to be living a happy, satisfying life with the people I love.
10 years from now I'll be 27! Hopefully I'll have my PhD in econ by then, or if not, be in the process of getting it. I'm liking the idea of working for the federal government as an economist following my PhD!
In 10 years I'll be 29 😂 career wise I hope to have worked in at least one major film or theatre production designing set or prop (biggest dream is working set for the Royal Ballet). In regards to marriage or kids I mean I'm content being single forever tbh so I'm not too fussed about it.
I'm 47 years old, a high school graduate, and make a mere $20k a year as a line cook. I think y'all kids have some great expectations as to how your lives will be shaped and I wish y'all the best of luck cause you're getting the best schooling possible to prepare you for a perfect life but you've yet to know what real life is all about.
Hey this series is awesome, congrats! Do you think you could do an episode with only international students talking about their experience at an Ivy? That would be great 😊
In 10 years, I hopefully would be doing what I absolutely love. I've always wanted to do something in the arts but also would not mind going into tech, so I could maybe combine those two! But I haven't been able to explore art too much in HS so I hope I get to explore and expand in college. If helpful, I might get an MBA. I would also love to live in my dream house, which is a combination of Korean/Japanese styles and surrounded by nature :)
In 10 years I'll be 29. I will have graduated from university. I also will have worked in a top investment bank for at least 2 years. After that I will be looking to apply to Harvard Business School. I hope to also be married. After Harvard Business School I want to start my own business and be a stay at home mom living in a lovely house and raising my kids.
10 years from today I'll be 22 going on to 23 in august and hopefully, I'll be graduating from Columbia, Georgetown, or NYU studying business or finance. Also, my dream is to work on wall street or to have my own business.
question: did any of y'all apply early action to your school ? any deferrals ? if you could go back to senior year when you were applying to universities, would you apply early action to any other ivy ?
Emma He I didn’t apply early action to any of the ivy’s bc I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted so I wanted my options open, especially for comparing financial aid bundles. I only applied early decision for public schools bc they allowed me to know my decision without being forced to pick that school before hearing back from the others
hi I’m not in the video LOL but deferrals do not mean rejection!! I applied early to Princeton, got deferred, and then got in! 10/10 would still recommend non-restrictive early action, it’s nice to be able to get a decision early
Where do I see myself in 10 year? Well first I'll be 29 and either having a career in teaching high school sciences somewhere in the US. Or my other path could be working in research studying hurricanes. Honestly I don't know about marriage, hopefully I be with a partner, but I would love to adopt children.
hey dom, love the content!! could we have one about study abroads, resources at these schools and the different types of extracurriculars and internships? maybe mention some summer stuff? thanks!!
Hi!! Thank you so much!😊 Those are all topics I have been working very hard to cast people for! You can expect these videos sometime in the next few weeks!!:)
Love your videos my daughter and I watch all of them! She is going to Cornell in the fall and you should do a video on what it’s like to be an incoming freshman in this climate because she’s trying to be positive but we don’t even know if or when she’s going! Just an idea
In 10 years hopefully, I'll be 24, a Harvard alumna, a Harvard Medical School senior and I'll be the youngest doctor of Bahamian descent.😊 My love life is non-existent at the moment buttttt I hope to have a bae by then😉😉
10 years from now I’ll be 30. I’m going into my junior year in undergrad and applying to physical therapy school soon. I’ll probably be done with PT school by 2026 if everything goes to plan. Even if I don’t get in the first round, I’m still going to reapply because at the end of the day it is what I want to do. Doesn’t matter how long it takes. I do care about the income but living lavish isn’t really a need for me. What I want to do is have a stable income to support a family and help others. Catch me in my 2012 blue Toyota Prius 😂.
Im currently going to become a freshman in high school in a week and i really want to go into dermatology or neurology, I have a bigger interest for neurology and I really wanna live in either nyc where i live rn, or new jersy! I really want 4 kids, 2 girls and 2 boys, and I hope to be making 300k+ a year, or enough that i dont have to worry about money at all
Oh lord, in 10 years I'll be 26 -- hopefully having graduated from Harvard undergrad and grad Standford for either neuroscience or business (both schools are my tops for undergrad/grad in both of those areas) and going into either my top internship program for neuro or getting hired by high paying job in business (even if it may take a few years). Not really thinking ab kids/marriage right now seeing as I'm only 16 haha
Why are so many young people in the US (not talking specifically about the guys in the video) so fixated with meeting their future partner in college and with getting married so young in general? I feel like in Europe most students are wayyy more laid back about this..
Well its mostly how we were taught and tropes we find in movies about college. I go to a public uni in the midwest and its mostly farmland so students would find their partner and get married after college and within those first years.
in 10 years, i will be 30 years old and i'm not too sure what i want to do, but i would like own a for profit business involved in social impact, similar to patagonia's business model :) personally, i have learned about non profits and have worked at two non profits, but i cannot stand the idea of RELYING on other people to supply them with money in order for the non profit to continue doing good. i'd much rather have a business that can sustain itself, while doing good for the world
Hey Dom, could we please hear the experiences of international students at the Ivies if possible. Btw I’m an international subscriber from South Africa ✨ love your channel ♥️
In 10 years, I would be 25 years old, I will be in my 3rd year of med school. I want to be able to work in a business somewhere ( since I want to major in both premed and business )That’s all I have planned, maybe a relationship but no marriage any time soon.
I’ll be 24 and hopefully in medical school for pediatric oncology or pediatric neuro surgery also I wanna have a minor in physiology but I wanna get married have kids after medical school
In ten years I’ll be 27 and getting ready to leave my consulting job to pursue a full-time writing career. I don’t think I’ll get married or have kids.
The guy in the car is so money hungry. I feel like he is all about the money and not even about the helping people aspect of medicine. He is more excited about the salary then the life saving surgeries. Smh
First you have get accepted into a medical school after undergrad which I feel isn’t enough seats for the many applicants then after medical school trying to get a residency 🤯 You will be so busy 🏃 you won’t have time for reality tv acting. I had a different experience at the Ivy League. Good luck to everyone 😊
In 10 years I will be about to start my 4th year of medical school studying to be an oncologist. I will be hella stressed and busy but it's all worth it for the bag 😅😩 jkjk I hope to be helping people with degenerative diseases especially cancers whether that be through research or clinical work 😊

I agree! diversity of perspective would be great.
yes!! it would be great to see people who aspire for jobs that aren't as recognized that should be
Or the Nonprofit/Public Sector
Just stay away from those majors. Unless it's STEM or Law, it's useless.

She's really spoiling us
If you could please make one about international students about the differencies and life in university compared to what they had imagined / expected
I agree
I asked a similar question on the last video and Domonique said that she’s planning to upload a video with international students soon :)
Pleassee😢
Yes! Look out for the international video on Monday!😊

Thank you so much Dom for this series, it's honestly so interesting! Keep up the good work
10 years from today I'll be 22 going on to 23 in august and hopefully, I'll be graduating from Columbia, Georgetown, or NYU studying business or finance. Also, my dream is to work on wall street or to have my own business.
*Hey could you do a video with Ivy grad students?*
question: did any of y'all apply early action to your school ? any deferrals ? if you could go back to senior year when you were applying to universities, would you apply early action to any other ivy ?
Emma He I didn’t apply early action to any of the ivy’s bc I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted so I wanted my options open, especially for comparing financial aid bundles. I only applied early decision for public schools bc they allowed me to know my decision without being forced to pick that school before hearing back from the others
hi I’m not in the video LOL but deferrals do not mean rejection!! I applied early to Princeton, got deferred, and then got in! 10/10 would still recommend non-restrictive early action, it’s nice to be able to get a decision early
@@AngelNjoku that's called early action
Where do I see myself in 10 year? Well first I'll be 29 and either having a career in teaching high school sciences somewhere in the US. Or my other path could be working in research studying hurricanes. Honestly I don't know about marriage, hopefully I be with a partner, but I would love to adopt children.
okay, abel and nafisa are officially my new role models.
Ten years from now , I’d be 25 hopefully done with college and working ( I’m hoping to become an engineer) and maybe even married or engaged maybe
This was so great
hey dom, love the content!! could we have one about study abroads, resources at these schools and the different types of extracurriculars and internships? maybe mention some summer stuff? thanks!!
Hi!! Thank you so much!😊 Those are all topics I have been working very hard to cast people for! You can expect these videos sometime in the next few weeks!!:)
The diversity 😩😍
Love your videos my daughter and I watch all of them! She is going to Cornell in the fall and you should do a video on what it’s like to be an incoming freshman in this climate because she’s trying to be positive but we don’t even know if or when she’s going! Just an idea
In 10 years hopefully, I'll be 24, a Harvard alumna, a Harvard Medical School senior and I'll be the youngest doctor of Bahamian descent.😊 My love life is non-existent at the moment buttttt I hope to have a bae by then😉😉
i loved this so much, so helpful
Hey thank you for this series I love it!!!!
Thank you for this video! My question is: would it be hard as an introvert/nerd? Are the schools socially intense? (can you tell I'm a Penn '24 ahaha)
Hey Dom! I love your content x
Keep up the good work!
I loovvee your content 🧡🧡. It's extremely helpful and entertaining.
In ten years from now I’ll be 26 years old completing my residency hopefully with a husband and a kid.
My parents are old. I wanna get married before they die lol
in 10 years, i will be 30 years old and i'm not too sure what i want to do, but i would like own a for profit business involved in social impact, similar to patagonia's business model :)
personally, i have learned about non profits and have worked at two non profits, but i cannot stand the idea of RELYING on other people to supply them with money in order for the non profit to continue doing good. i'd much rather have a business that can sustain itself, while doing good for the world
love this kind of diversities
Hey Dom, could we please hear the experiences of international students at the Ivies if possible. Btw I’m an international subscriber from South Africa ✨ love your channel ♥️
Hello neighbour 🤣
I am from Mozambique 🇲🇿
Karen M hahahaha I love this so much ♥️♥️ hi neighbour 🧡
Hiii! Thank you so much!❤️ I have an international student’s perspective video coming very soon! ☺️
Domonique Cynthia can’t wait 😊♥️
In 10 years, I would be 25 years old, I will be in my 3rd year of med school. I want to be able to work in a business somewhere ( since I want to major in both premed and business )That’s all I have planned, maybe a relationship but no marriage any time soon.
bottom right looks like kid laroi
Abel is a MOOD 😂
Trevor was tryna be real smooth with Hana👀
Alima G HAHA yeah i noticed that too, they’d be cute together tho:)
I’ll be 24 and hopefully in medical school for pediatric oncology or pediatric neuro surgery also I wanna have a minor in physiology but I wanna get married have kids after medical school
hey since it's pride month and all too can you do an episode with LGBTQ+ students?
Hi! I have an LGBTQ video coming very soon but I don’t think in time for pride month! But next month!:)
@@Domonique_Cynthia that sounds fine thanks a lot!
Great video (first!)
What software do you use to edit?
Hii! I use premiere pro!
In ten years I’ll be 27 and getting ready to leave my consulting job to pursue a full-time writing career. I don’t think I’ll get married or have kids.
dayumn you´re pretty
The guy in the car is so money hungry. I feel like he is all about the money and not even about the helping people aspect of medicine. He is more excited about the salary then the life saving surgeries. Smh
First you have get accepted into a medical school after undergrad which I feel isn’t enough seats for the many applicants then after medical school trying to get a residency 🤯 You will be so busy 🏃 you won’t have time for reality tv acting. I had a different experience at the Ivy League. Good luck to everyone 😊
hi dommi hi quinn
Hey :)
Heyo
As ivy league students do you ever feel like you're missing out on the college experience?
Why they keep saying rising lol
In 10 years I will be about to start my 4th year of medical school studying to be an oncologist. I will be hella stressed and busy but it's all worth it for the bag 😅😩 jkjk I hope to be helping people with degenerative diseases especially cancers whether that be through research or clinical work 😊
The Cornell guy 🥵🥵🥵
you need to get rice students (like me) on this channel!
Fun fact: the average salary of a 35-year old harvard grad is 85k per year!
