Hi! Working on a koi using this pattern right now!! 🥰 I'm on round 17. It says a final count of [27] when I think it should say 24. Just letting you know!
Hey! I love this pattern. I am making a pair of koi fish for my friend and her boyfriend for Christmas. I love the pair of big guys you have in the back. Did you just come up with the color change pattern on your own or do you have the pattern written for them somewhere else?
I have a goldfish pattern already out: ua-cam.com/video/JX8vKn_S0nI/v-deo.html At the end of the video I go over how to make the bubble eyes. There should be a timestamp for customisation in the description.
Not sure what you mean? I only have one koi pattern. If you're referring to the ones in the thumbnail, I just 'shaped' them with my hands after I'd finished the pattern.
I was also stuck for a loong time at the beginning but you just have to make at first à magic circle, look out for some tutorial cause I tried many times to do the circle like she did and it turns out bad but then i did it
If I cut my yarn everytime changing color instead of carrying the yarn across, would it then be neccessary to weave in all those ends or could they just be left hanging on the inside?
I cut my yarn when I change colours and I just leave a couple inches inside without weaving them in. They should all end up inside the body once you are done :)
I can break the pattern down for you if that will help. Round three reads: (3sc, 3inc)x2 [18]. Begin by making three single crochet, then put an increase in the next three stitches. Do three more single crochet and finally an increase in each of the remaining three stitches. Broken down you round should be: 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1inc, 1inc, 1inc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1inc, 1inc, 1inc

The pattern being on the side was very clear. I like the change.
Appreciate the feedback! I think I'll be sticking with that format when the written pattern is longer.
The pattern on the side really helps and clarifies. This is such a simple and fun project to make!
Made it. Woo! Was easier than it looked. Thanks for your clear tutorial.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed! Gave my noobie heart a spook, thinking I messed up my stitches 😂
@@choccybiscuit8764 Good that you picked it up tho! Other than this the pattern is great. It’s my favourite koi pattern!
@@gabriellajohn3886 Yes! I'm almost done, my needles just arrived so I am very close to finishing my koi!

Nah, I don't have pattern for those guys, it was just random colour changes. Btw, I hope your koi Christmas presents were appreciated.
@@SkeinSpider Thank you! She absolutely loved them, thanks for the adorable pattern :D

Thanks!
Loving your fishy patterns!
Cheers! I'm having fun creating them.

suoer cute! :) what size hook did you use for the big ones you showed at the beginning?
I'm pretty sure I used a 7mm hook for those.

Hi! do you have a pattern for the more curved version of the fish?
Not sure what you mean? I only have one koi pattern. If you're referring to the ones in the thumbnail, I just 'shaped' them with my hands after I'd finished the pattern.
@@SkeinSpider Thanks that's what i wanted to know😊
Sorry, can you help me on the beginning? I can’t get past round 1, too fast.

Turn work.
mine comes out too big ☹️
The round 3 haven’t sence… if you repeat by 2… you still have free single points… if you repeat by 3, te here are 21 finally, not 18….
I suppose you made 4 scp to finish the round…
And at the round 5 the same problem… I’m sorry by I can’t understand your pattern… :(
