      Yes, especially when you decide that you want to run for the most scrutinized, strobe lit, glass walled office in the country. Both Nixon and Agnew made that mistake, and got away with their federal crimes because they both had the common sense to resign while they still had a Republican POTUS would pardon them. Trump could have done the same thing, knowing that Biden was going to be the next POTUS. He could have made Pence POTUS for a day, but he chose not to. Now he blames everyone but the tooth fairy for his own choice. What else is new? BTW: Both Nixon and Agnew disappeared from public life and were rarely ever heard from again. That will only happen to Trump if he is convicted, goes to prison and loses his internet access and phone privileges like any other convict would. Out of sight out of mind. I don't think the MAGA elites will queue up to visit him for very long either once he's no longer useful to them.

    To be fair to Trump's lawyers, they've got a loser for a client. When that's the case, the loser client usually loses regardless of the lawyers' efforts. That said, they better have gotten their fees paid up front. If they haven't, Trump won't be the only loser.

    • @Istuckmyheaddownthetoilet
      @Istuckmyheaddownthetoilet 24 дні тому

      Every lawyer gets loser clients, but the good lawyers manage to salvage the situation for the client. They get the client the most Humane sentences, the best recognition that the client is not the devil themselves, the best assessment of what led up to the client's unacceptable actions, and so forth. Chump's lawyers are worse than Plead And Leave lawyers because they are unable to give Chump the Sit Down You Fukking Moron, We Need To Fukking Talk routine. And I mean in the way that clients like Chump need it. An extreme example of that is shown in Better Caul Saul, in the form of the Kettlemans.
      A good lawyer would be going behind Chump's back and saying to the right people "I cannot control my client, my experience leads me to believe he is a Section Eight, please help me do something to cut this farce short".

    Upon redirect, defense lawyers agreed to allow prosecutors to enter into evidence, a date/time stamped film, recording of Trump/Schiller side by side during the time the call took place. Cohen's credibility was restored.

      @@chrislabonne1068 The movies kind of glorified the Mob. Frank Sinatra begged them not to make the movie, saying it made Italian-Americans look bad, and he was right. Of course it's not all Italians. There are a lot of mobs.

We need calm and dispassionate analysis more and more.
