It’s great to see a run of budget springers Andy as not everyone has the budget for a pcp. I took my springer out for a night on the rats for a change the other night, granted it’s a Weihrauch Hw 95k but still a springer at the end of the day rather than my pcp. And you know I had a ball I was shooting rats as I did when I first started out all those years ago as a young lad and it brought back a few memories too when I got my first springer a webley tracker in 22 which I still have today in great condition which is a handy down when I pop my clogs as my nephew has his eye on it and always asks to see it when he comes to visit.
Having cut my teeth on a BSA Airsporter ( long ago in a galaxy far away ) ill always have a soft spot for springers . As well as tinitus qmd a rheumatic left wrist from the repeated cocking . That's my excuse and im sticking to it ! I wouldnt mind one of these , it looks great and obviously shoots extremely well once the scope / scope creep is sorted out. The price amazed me , the accuracy astounded me 40 yards !! The action didnt sound like an umdamped church bell either . Great review , great product thank you . Dave
At first I saw the length of this rifle and thought you had started reviewing muskets. The price and design of this rifle appears to be a direct competitor for the Webley VMX Quantum, which is available at some suppliers as a bundle which includes a scope, bag and a tin of pellets. It would be interesting to see the Thunder Jet and Quantum in a head-to-head review.
Crazy long...... I like a budget Remington though Really love this channel, great work Andy. You make a good figure head for our sport. Great news on the lead review by the HSE, air gunners are good :D
Hi ANDY , whot a super review of a budget rifle ... WOW long yes , you will need a xlarge case for this Big Boy 😁... Thanks Andy for 7am treat on Friday ... Keep warm and shoot straight ! 😃
Hi Andy, potential beginner here asking the best place to buy air rifles in the UK currently looking at an Artimls M30 with a Gamo 3-9x40 W1PM scope. loving your videos, really helping with decisions
Awesome review as always Andy, I love springers and would love a review of the top end ones like the air arms pro sport to compare to the likes of today's offering!
I don't know what it is about budget springers it must be a nostalgia thing. Having sunk thousands into pcps compressors scope night vision you name it. I still get my old smk i picked up off the market 20y ago and enjoy plinking with it. Genuinely interested in this not so little gun. Remember the whole gas ram trend in the early 90s and always wanted one
Not related to this video specifically, but could you tell me what type of silicone oil you use on the co2 guns Andy? I've heard that you can use some RC silicone oil which is much cheaper than RWS Chamber Lube, but these come in many different weights and there doesn't seem to be a lot of consensus about whether lighter or heavier is the way to go.
I find the milbro explorer .177 is a great budget plinker. it's 11.5lb shoots around 800fps, a good solid construction, shoots straight n true right out of the box, yet there are no good reviews of this gun online. Yet it costs no more than £120 yet ive had more expensive gas ram guns which shoot worse than my current springer.
What is the tube size of the scope as I would want to swap out the mounts and I can't find the tube size anywhere? I would eventually swap out the scope after seeing how I get on with the rifle.
Hi love the reviews your the reason I need a bigger gun locker .. could / have you ever done a comparison between the vector optics scope range and I can’t seem to find one anywhere
I've looked at other reviews and it says that it's a gas RAM not a spring maybe it needs investigating by you thank you for the video anyway it was very entertaining
Quite lenghty rifle for sure. But apparently that close to the target muzzle do provide quite the accurate results too. Never mind the flyers - here's the Andy Rifles. Accuracy in the UK. 😁👍🏻
@@simonnoble7589 Hiya Simon! I'm all good. How are you? I dunno. I'd might see me buy one of these - but since already owning a basic breakbarrel rifle, I would not bother buy one of these as a replacement. If I'd actually buy myself a new break barrel rifle now - then I'd probably buy some Gamo Swarm Magnum with a magazine (just to get something new feature-wise)..
The first thing i'd do is put a one piece mount on it, saying that many many moons ago i brought a second hand springer that someone had fitted a spring that must have come off a lorries suspension, i fitted a one piece mount and a block to stop scope creep, (were they called 'aresta blocks') with a cheap scope, i looked through the scope after the first shot to see the cross hairs were no longer there.
Interesting rifle. I want one. I'm curious how much she will and m with the xinal power outside the Uk I'm from Bulgaria and idksm to be up to the end m with the lilia arsenal of 200 rifles and pistols 😅
Great stuff Andy I own a theoben fenman thumbhhole stock .22 and its all I need for vermin control ie greys, maggies, rats, and the like, its all down to your budget , I would love to be able to afford big named pcp rifle but not all of us can afford it ?.
That rifle is a beast in length! You almost need to put a scope ring around the end of the barrel, just so you've got something to grab hold of to break it?! If you're buying this kit rifle, I'd look at buying some blue Loctite and putting some substantial blobs around the grip points on the dovetail. Either that or spend a little extra for a pic rail and better pic rail scope mounts? Definitely a Backyard basher, I couldn't lug it about for some field pestwork, not unless you could put a bipod on it?
Great review, as always. If the major problem with this rifle is the scope waltzing around on the dovetail rail would it be possible for some bright person to come up with a locking device? I have in mind a sort of bar that fits onto the rail and can be locked firmly in position on it, one each to be fitted fore and aft of the scope. I believe that such a device would have widespread appeal for anyone using a dovetail rail, or is such a device already available on the market?
I think if you had shot it off a soft rest or with your hand on the rest it would have tightened up. Great results for a budget gun. Pop a nicer scope and your ready to rock
Thats not a bad rifle ,shame about that long barrel would of been a good touch if they made it ,so you could of had it unscrew halfway down the barrel to shorten it, nice review 👍.
Yeah it ticks a box and a good solid rifle. Like you say it's a great way into the sport. I am not sure I would call it a springer with a gas ram system inside but hey ho haha
More of a meaty fore end would not have added a lot more weight to this 'slim jim' Springer! Perhaps a shorter barrel and a half inch unf thread for a silencer.
Something odd here. Some retailers are selling this Remington as a 9ft lbs air rifle and mine only managed 8.6 ft lbs with 8.02g .177 pellets. Other pellets averaged between 8 and 8.3 ft lbs checked on two chromosomes. I sent back as ‘not as described by the manufacturer’. Definitely DO NOT BUY. Baz.
Full power in New Zealand would be around 23 ftlbs..without a Gun Licence..yes 23ftlbs. Common sense here the authorities would rather give you a full power break barrel than have everyone having a firearm.
Rimington, is it another offering from the East( China?) Without sounding negative should you change your channel name to A C G S? Andy's Chinese Gun Show? I know we want to know what's out there, but there must be other countries that produce budget guns and have a better human rights policy!
Hi Andy, so pleased you tried the gun with the supplied scope. Much more realistic for a buyer on a budget.
The scope creep is why the shots began going upward on the target. POI was shifting. A good review Andy.

Very accurate for a budget springer. 😊
"Not too bad." I'd be pleased with that grouping using my PCP at an indoor range. Good, informative video as usual. Thanks.

Good morning Andy! I've not long brought a Walther cp99 air pistol absolutely love it!
Ideal to take fishing. It could double up as a spare rod
i got spoiled with the 10 shot mag on my break barrel....great review Andy as usual

That is a very competent rifle if you didn't have creeping scope issues i think you might of surprised yourself.
Nice rifle I think it would be great long range hunter in fac just bit big to lug around doing pest control but have held one and comfortable stock.
Awesome review as always Andy, I love springers and would love a review of the top end ones like the air arms pro sport to compare to the likes of today's offering!
I really like this review channel, very polite
Love your reviews I'm looking to get one of those very short and light carbine fir rabbting

The Remington thunder pants 😮
I own the 22 calibre version. I get better grouping with mine good reveiw
I've got the version before that one and you can't remove the silencer. I already had an alright scope so I stuck that on straight away.

Good morning, everybody and host ANDY , have a fantastic day
Would be great to see the Hatsan Edge… real budget gun to try but you could compare .177 .22 and .25 in the same rifle!

Any plans to review the new Norica Omnia ZRS? this looks to be a game changer!!
Remington make good guns. I have a Remington springer and bang per buck they are hard to beat.
As charles Bronson said in the magnificent 7 grab it by the barrel and use it like a club.....seemed to shoot very well though.
That's a big one Andy !
What is the tube size of the scope as I would want to swap out the mounts and I can't find the tube size anywhere? I would eventually swap out the scope after seeing how I get on with the rifle.
Can you please do a review on the Remington Spirit. This I believe is exactly the same as the P35, but much cheaper!!
A budget rifle a budget scope bit of a wind at 40 meters and grouping like that? What’s not to like about it! 👍🏻
Great review, as always, but maybe you will have to do some gun slip/case reviews to find one that fits 😂
Any 51" gun case will fit it, if I remember correctly it's 49-50 inches

@davidwelch6796 arrest blocks have been available since the sixties also 1 in front of the mounts is pointless.
Hi thanks for the money its a great deal brilliantly done aswell
Sorry but this is an excellent grouping for a windy day and 40 meters. Anyway you need a stopper for the scope, it will lose zero.
First thing I thought of was, is Andy reviewing anti-tank rifles now? 😄
That gun needs indicators for when you turn around with it

great review, send the comment of the week over to MI5, could be some kind of code🤣🤣
looks like a very good rifle for the price.
We need a hw98 review Andy.
Today 's performance is good
I wish it had iron sights that's what don't like about a similar pellet rifle that was given to me, no iron sights.
Seriously good accuracy from a budget gun and scope even if it was almost point blank 🤔 I’m sure this rifle would look so much better if it lost 6” ?
Yeah it ticks a box and a good solid rifle. Like you say it's a great way into the sport. I am not sure I would call it a springer with a gas ram system inside but hey ho haha
12 ft pound thunderjet???
Talking about prices Gamo arrow in the states 180 $ 155 £ here it's £319 ! something wrong I think
A great first gun, obviously not for a junior though, unless he’s Mighty Mouse. 😂
More of a meaty fore end would not have added a lot more weight to this 'slim jim' Springer! Perhaps a shorter barrel and a half inch unf thread for a silencer.
Goodmorning all!
235 quid + a tin of pellets and your off. brilliant.
Rather have a HW98 !
Is that the .22 or .177?
He said the .177 version
Good shooting with a budget gun, poor scope and from a bloke who isn’t a springer shooter (he says)
Shooting downhill this week?
“As the actress said to the Bishop”
Long, heavy, not bad grouping but still unimpressive
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thunderjet😂 … I think I’ve heard of one called the Thunderceptor as well somewhere😂..daft names🙄
They are 2 different guns made
