In your arrangements you really take the true essence of the songs and give them a whole new life. It’s something so rare to see and it’s what makes your channel so special and great
Absolutely superb! This album is ingrained in my DNA from the days of over listening to a single album in the 90’s. Every time I hear your renditions, it takes me back to a time when life seemed simpler and music dominated my world. Thank you Alex. You’ve added all the additional counter melodies that often run in my head and some! 😊
I never realized how rhythmically complex this song is, since the vibe is so calm and peaceful. Congratulations on figuring it out! It's a beautiful cover.
One of my favourite songs :) I remember trying to find a good piano cover to play along, and getting slightly frustrated because there were none. But the quest is over! Your version is amazing, and I’ll take the time to learn it well. The voicing is also on point as always. Thank you Alex!
Thank you! Heavy Piano has some lovely versions of this song but I felt there was a space for a version that sticks closer to the original. Ixi music has also done a great musical analysis of the track, if that's of interest!
@@aajfranklinI think it was before HeavyPiano’s upload when I was looking for a cover with Synthesia haha His version is good, but in my opinion it’s trying to replicate too much the original song, which makes it a bit messy And I’ll definitely check the musical analysis, thank you for the suggestion!
Thanks very much! I actually tried to play this song with more energy originally but I found I got too tense and it would always fall apart in the final verse or chorus. So the softness in this case was a requirement!
Certainly the best thing I've posted on radioheadcirclejerk. Thanks for your comment, I'm very proud of the left hand in that section. Was a lot of work to get both hands playing those different rhythms together smoothly.

Gorgeous cover. Love your work and your superb song selections. I have yet to hear anybody do a piano cover of Nancy From Now on by Father John misty and I’d kill to see you take it on. Cheers!
Thank you! Let Down is in A. The verse progression is A - E - F#m - E, aka I - V - VI - V. The chorus (simplified) is D - A - F#m, resolving to E on the last repetition.
The challenge with this song is that it's in 4/4 but the arpeggiated piano/guitar parts played by Jonny/Ed are in 5/4, which is hard to get your head around. I arranged this by ear, if that's any encouragement to you, but it wasn't straightforward!

This is exactly what I'm trying to do so it's very encouraging for me to read this, thank you.

Thanks Wojtek, I thought you'd like this one! I worked on this for a really long time, glad you approve.

Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
Beautiful, I love the part towards the end where you managed to get both melodies being sung to be played on the piano
Thank you, glad you like it!
Such a complicated beast, and you nailed it. Really well done, and thank you as always
Thanks for the kind comment and for listening!

That's a tricky one, I never managed a good arrangement when trying to play it but you did flawlesly! One of your best ones in a while.
Thanks so much!
Brilliant... I really love the "softness" and precision of your playing style. Very well done.

Now THAT'S what I call Monday morning! What a treat. And you did a great job with it.
Hope it sets you off well for the week!
This is beautiful😭
Alex is the gift that keeps on giving!
Too kind, as ever 🙇♂️

amazing arrangement. love what you did with the B section of the second verse on your left hand.

You did it! 🎉🎉
It's been a long road

Amazing🙏🏻 would you please tell me what's the key signature? I'd apprecite it, I really loved your cover

Finally 🙏🏼
I feel the same way
Beautiful cover ! Do you plan on playing Jigsaw Falling Into Place in the future ?
That's a hard one so I will only record it when I can do it justice.
But I used to say the same about Let Down so...
Is this piece easy to learn by ear? I’ve never felt the need to use sheet music because I usually learn everything by ear, but im doubting this one

Tysm! What about the instrumental near the middle of the song?
@AtaseeBalaji that part's easier, no polymeter there.
Thanks !
I love it❤️❤️❤️
(Mi piano is broken, I can't fix it and I don't know what to do help)
Aah I'm so sorry to hear that! I don't know anything about piano repair but I hope you're able to sort it soon.
The thumbnail for this video shows an EbMaj9. I know that's not in Let Down..
@@stitchgrimly6167 the lower part of the thumbnail is the same for all my recent videos
Are there sheet music for this cover?
I'm afraid because I do my covers by ear, I don't have sheet music to share.
