Your destined to disappoint video took all the hype out of me, so when I went on Velocicoaster, I didn’t really expect much. But... I’ve gone on this bad boy three times now (Universal Orlando is my home park) and going into it with no expectations was actually the best thing that could’ve happened to me. From the first launch, it blew every coaster I’ve ever ridden out of the water. Crazy fun.
That’s what I was like with iron gwazi , I heard everyone talking about how it will be one of the worst rmc’s on par with most of them so I didn’t expect much but I was so wrong that is just an experience that no one can explain. Also your so lucky that universal is your home park.
I rode it twice. Once at night and i felt like i was about yo explode out of my sit everytime especially sitting in the sixth cart. Great great fucking time 👌🏻
@@fostersariscak3752 it's definitely raising the bar for Disney in the thrill department. Which Disney is clearly lacking. But believe me I'm hoping the Tron coaster and Guardian of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind roller coaster meets that thrill bar expectations.
i’ve ridden maverick and velocicoaster each about 10 times. velocicoaster blows maverick away. it’s not even close. intamin went god mode and it single handedly made me think intamin can compete with rmc’s new elements. you get crazy airtime on this ride and my favorite of those moments surprisingly coming down the immelman. i know it sounds crazy. also, the mosasaurus roll is the single greatest element on any roller coaster i have ever been on and i have been on 124 as well as 12 rides on steel vengeance. also, the theming is insane. 10/10.
Last week i went on a trip to universal then disney. I really wanted to go on velocicoaster so me and my family waited 30-45 minutes for it. After riding it, I didnt feel any thrill from anyone other coasters at Disney or Universal. Its by far the best rollercoaster ive ever been on.

I just rode this for the first time today, it’s easily the best coaster and best themed coaster i have ever been on. not just the ride, but the queue as well. The main queue was fully packed and i don’t regret waiting in that line one bit. i won’t spoil it and say what details stick out to me, it’s better to experience that in person.
I've been on the thing about 5 times so far, and here's what I've got to say: Incredible ride. Currently my #1, managing to edge out Lightning Rod (though I only got to ride LR in 2021 - I hear it ran much faster at its original opening). The strange thing about that first Immlemann is that it never fails to toss me out of my seat as the train comes out of it. It also transitions quite neatly into the dive loop that, yes, gives some pretty good hangtime. The reason I'd give for their pretty awkward shape is because this specific part of the ride had a very restricted area to work with. They had to shove it in between Camp Jurassic, the Discovery Center, River Adventure, and its own queue, so the uniquely shaped elements allow it to fit a little better (notice how the Immlemann actually is a little slanted in comparison to others - it moves it to the side a bit so it can transition straight into the dive without overlapping with the first launch). Additional note about the rockwork in the paddock - it fits in perfectly with pre-existing rockwork, particularly the crag that the "River Adventure" sign is mounted to. That's a pretty cool touch that still sort of allows this Jurassic Park/World mish-mash of a land to somehow work. Also - Chris Pratt is featured here. That's pretty sweet. Now, what would be really cool is if, over time, the repercussions of placing a coaster in the raptor paddock slowly are demonstrated on the ride - maybe a few changes in pre-shows, perhaps a train could look more mangled than the others, probably just wishful thinking, but that would still be a neat thing to do. *ALL THIS SAID,* "Keep your expectations low, and you'll never be disappointed." Good thing to remember, especially for coasters. Just sit back, enjoy the ride, then either "I liked it, let's ride again," "That was pretty good, onto the next ride!" or even, "I didn't like it, let's do something else."
After riding Velosicoaster that hart line role over the water feels way more intense than it may look. When you are riding it almost feels like you are are going to fall into the water.
Watching this was so satisfying! When people admit they’re wrong for something dumb they said, there’s just a feeling of euphoria you don’t get watching any other video.
This is AWESOME! I think it's boss of you to come back around to address your old video. I love your channel, but I totally disagreed with your predictions at that time. Then, when I RODE Velocicoaster -- holy sh-t! My soul literally separated from my body during the second launch. Jesus! I have never been breathless and speechless at the end of a ride. This coaster hauls immense ass, and you are never in your seat! You don't get a chance to even catch your breath, as it gets more and more intense as the ride goes on. I've ridden it 3 times now. For me, the Zero G stall was the scariest shit I've ever experienced! Especially with just a lap bar and your body all exposed... I still get heebie jeebies when I think about it. The whole ride is just EXHILARATING! But it's hyper intense and it's definitely not for everbody.
I just rode this, can confirm it’s incredible (I’ve only been to Disney and universal, so this was kinda my first intense roller coaster- I am a teen) and this was very thrilling. I was scared to go on it but I’m glad I did.
Got my first ride on it today, holy shit I’ve never been on a coaster that legit felt like it was trying to kill me the whole time/ this ride slaps so hard.
Love this ride, my favorite so far. If you really want ejector airtime, sit front row right side and don’t slam the lap bar down. That’s what I did on my first ride and I literally thought I was going to be thrown from the ride about 5 times. Amazing. I’ve now ridden it 4 times, 2X middle 2X front and it was all great but the 4th ride was at night and that is really breathtaking, especially with the amazing view of the park from the top hat 🎩.
I got on Velocicoaster 3 days ago and its not what you expect!! Its faster than it looks (MUCH FASTER THAN IT LOOKS) The airtime is ridiculous!! U are never touching the seat!! and my favorite part was when u go upside down for like 3 seconds that part was awesome and the drop was awesome the initial launch was awesome and the second launch even more awesome!!! the scariest part was the end twist cause u can see what was coming!! My recommendation is dont be like thinking ill put my hands up and have fun cuz trust as soon as you launch and get airtime those hands are going down and gripping on the hand bars and never letting go! Trust get on it! it doesnt disappoint easily best coaster in Florida! 90% sure in america! and probably the world!! Oh and final recommendation ask the guy that tells you which row youre goin on to put you in front row its the best seat and enjoy the thrill!!
I still say “it’s certainly no Skyrush” when comparing it to other Intamin coasters, but seeing it sped up it does look better than I thought it would be from the animation and the test footage.
I totally feel you on the sheikra thing, i think its problem is just how large and smooth that inversion is, after that amazing drop its like you dont even process your in the immelman...
I didn’t watch the earlier video but I just rode Velocicoaster and I assure you it slaps. Go ride it. If Cheetah Hunt is your number 1, well first off you may think this ride it too intense, but I would be surprised if you didn’t like it. This thing puts CH to shame - that is a family ride; fun but not very extreme. This is a thrill machine. Ride at night!
I just went to Orlando less than a week ago and this coaster was surprisingly really good and intense even with CP being my HP especially with Universal’s older coasters being ok at best. The theming was pretty solid (mostly the queue) and the ride was good enough it could be a high tier ride at a Cedar Fair or Six Flags park. Also out of the 2 times I rode it, we waited 25-30 minutes in the single rider and 45 minutes the other time because it broke down
Ridden fly, i can safely say that F.L.Y REALLY "puts" you in the theming as you literally dont see the rollercoaster that you ride on while riding it, nor a Single thing that isnt rookburgh
I think it had the chance to be destined to disappoint, but I still don’t know if it is or is it, that’s something I’m just gonna have to figure out when I ride it
I just road it yesterday. I appriciate the theming on VelCo but Hagrid's beat's it on that. Animatronics, show scenes, sound effects. If Cheetah Hunt got a sound track, it would be in the same league as VelCo.
Just got on yesterday, after SO much hype, a three hour wait in line due to inclement weather (that pissed me off) and it was STILL good! Got on three times at night and had so much fun. But still not as much fun or as complete thematically as Hagrids. I actually do miss the theming in the second half. They build it up so nicely but it doesn't pay off. Should have been raptors in the 2nd launch and the final brake run. Still gets a 9.5/10!
Well, they didn't have unlimited space. There isn't any room for raptors to be at the end, and you get the raptors on the second launch, when going through the queue. I think that's good enough for me
@@joshcurtiss8071 I hear you. Personally, I'm just a story guy. They seem to have setup a big story and a big race that never finishes. Universal is brilliant at stories, each ride mostly has an ending or button to the story they setup in the queue. Whether due to space or intention it's not here. Since they started it, they should finish it. Even an animatronic "Blue" at the end could have done it. Still a brilliant ride.
So I still haven't gotten around to riding it despite living in Orlando and having an annual pass (it's peak season and every time I get there the line is too long or the weather is bad and it shuts down), but I still think I'm gonna like Hagrids better. We'll see, though.
So I am going to orlando to see disney with my family in a few weeks and we have one extra day. Would it, in your guys opinion, be better to go to seaworld for the first time or islands of adventure which I have been to but not since they added haggrids and velocicoster?
I definitely think as far as pure thrill it isnt the best coaster in the world, but I think holistically if you take into account every aspect of the ride from literally the second you see it when you enter into the park to the second you get off it definitely fits in the top 10 for sure. I cant compliment this coaster enough, that being said I understand the not wanting the hype to get into your way. I went on it early enough that there wasnt too much hype out there to go around and I can see how someone who likes coasters, let alone has a youtube channel on them could easily have their opinion altered based on too much hype
My first ride I rode close to the back and the amount of airtime in the top hat made me feel like I was slipping out of the restraint and is my first experience of ejector cause it’s one of my first big coasters other then hulk which I rode the same day before Iv just been riding alpinegeist and verbolten at bgw
I make your final words mine, here in Brazil we can only enjoy Pinfari's and a single SLC - and we're one of the 5 biggest countries in the world - but that's not a reason for us to be complaining, at the end of the day roller coasters were made to trick your body to think it is dying, so I guess we have to be way less silly about roller coaster, damn, nowadays they're all 200ft+, ppl need to chill out
Just went on this ride twice and both times I was shitting my pants. First time I couldnt evem keep my eyes open but I did it and it was fun lmao. Second time my heart was racing but I was able to keep my eyes open and I noticed other things I didnt the first time like the raptor statues, going upside down over water, etc. Easily my favorite ride at the park for the intensity of the ride. If you want extreme fun go on this ride. If you need to warm up to this ride...do hagrids motorcycle ride, then the hulk, then this. Hagrids launches you at some points and its honestly decent speeds will mentally prepare you for the hulk. The hulks launches and speed will prepare you for velocicoaster. After that youre golden
I never judge a coaster until ridden it at least a couple of times. This one looks really good but it doesn't look like the best in the US by any means. It doesn't "look as good" as Iron Gwazi but maybe it is. I'm not one to be fascinated by theming, so that part plays no role in my judgement.
There’s a unique pleasure that comes in seeing someone admit to being this wrong.

"If you go back to the video say something original" ... Okay!
I never judge a coaster until ridden it at least a couple of times. This one looks really good but it doesn't look like the best in the US by any means. It doesn't "look as good" as Iron Gwazi but maybe it is. I'm not one to be fascinated by theming, so that part plays no role in my judgement.
Velocicoaster or hulk coaster?
Can you do a video about top 10 best themed coasters
Best themed coaster on the planet? That’s a bit much. Rookburgh & FLY exist.
Also, after riding Kondaa: Velo ain’t the best new for 2021 ride
Du bist auch echt unter jedem Video was nur ansatzweise was mit Achterbahnen zu tun hat
At no point did I feel like it was going to slow. It was amazing. Only Steel Vengeance is better for me.
cheetah hunt is now his number 9, and velocicoaster is number 1.
If gwazi opens that might be the best coaster of the year that’s if it even opens this year
Idk about that. It's not going to be really themed to anything. It's just a coaster
We do over analyze roller coasters and I think we could benefit by just enjoying a ride for what it is every once and while 👍
