When the justice system is appointed and represents the two parties, it is no longer impartial.
It is not, and that’s why we need Trump to get in and drain the swamp. Reason they don’t want him is because they know he’s going to shake things up/ too late, the people are tired of these establishment. Trump has been a strong leader and proven he doesn’t allow his opposition to get to him. Anyone one else would have bowed out, but Trump has sacrificed all of his wealth and freedom. Trump is a classic narcissist using the classic narc playbook.
For example, he drops these hints of actions he’ll take as if it’s a joke, planting the idea and gauging the reaction/response. By doing this, he’s weakening boundaries and laying the ground work for pushing back goalposts.
And it works. Rather than be incensed or horrified by statements such as, “I’ll be dictator for a day,” or making claims he’ll make retribution, etc., his base laughs at it as though it’s hyperbole.
But then it sinks in and as they get comfortable with it they begin saying stupid things like, “Well, maybe we need a dictator to clean house for a bit.”
They imagine what it would be like to shut down all their imagined enemies, maybe not considering what that actually means. But the idea settles in and now we’re seeing “Trump: Dictator for Life” crap.
God help us all because this path is how America dies.

Impeachment can be avoided by 1: Pardoning oneself, therefore no crime 2: If it's an Official Act it can't be a High Crime or Misdemeanor 3: two thirds majority needed in Senate ,Republicans have shown they won't do this to Trump after an insurrection , imagine if a death squad was on standby as well. Impeachment of a President will be Null and Void

Judges are supposed to entertain arguments, to listen, ask questions, then render their judgement based on the law, in this case the constitution. I think the problem is that judges should NEVER be appointed by partisan groups or elected representatives, and that the law should be fair and have clear consequences for elected officials who violate it.
You should read about checks and balances. Its really interesting! You can probably find resources about it in your middle school library! Or go ask a teacher!

So what would be a good term limit. Certainly not a lifetime appointment but certainly nothing short either so that laws aren't constantly being flipped back and forth as soon as the new ones are appointed. It really is tricky but I would rather remove the supreme Court entirely and leave these cases to the people, when one is brought up people would get a month to vote and the opinion that receives the most votes would be the winner.

Would these Judges think the same if Hillary or Obama were at the center? In law, the individual must not be a strong factor but law and common sense. How can Americans have respect for such a court that would even consider giving a President all power?
They're giving him the power the constitution defines for him, in our republic the president is given near total authority to perform executive actions, he cannot create laws, he cannot sit as a judge in a legal court, otherwise pertaining to his role there is little he cannot do. That is why the founders created impeachment and gave that power to the legislative branch, that is the only formal check on the executive branch.
It would be the opposite, the liberal justices would be arguing exactly how the conservative ones are. I actually think that if Hilary Clinton was the one there that the conservative justices would probably be making a similar case because so far they've upheld the Constitution in most of their rulings.

If the supreme court rules in Trump's favour then remember that they are also voting to allow any other President to use the same ruling. Biden would be within his rights as determined by the supreme court, to take whatever measures are needed to protect democracy.

We need one justice for each circuit. It's only fair that each individual circuit has it's own justice to represent it's "circuit" at the supreme court. However many justices we need to add to the supreme court then do it...
I think it’s time to have the public step in. 1.) make the Supreme Court and any other political position to have a term limit. No longer than 4 years. 2.) Since it’s a PUBLIC position that they also carry the same insurance that public servants receive. This is what happens when people totally lose confidence in the courts. There was a time when people ignored stories like this because they knew the court wouldn't make such a stupid decision. Now it is up in the air. I don't blame people for losing their minds right now. They probably should. This court has given us every reason to distrust them.
The point is the SCOTUS appears to have already helped Trump by delaying their ruling. The likelihood that they will send this back to a lower court for further consideration of the details will delay the outcome even longer. No matter what they rule now, the appearance that this court has been politicized is evident.
I will hate them forever for overturning Roe v Wade. Nothing they do from that point on is at all surprising.
This news spokeswoman should be fired, and even sued for defamation of character and for misleading their viewers. Just report the truth. No one wants your opinion reported as facts.
As a former supporter of the Republican Party and its objectives and now an Independent , I am firmly convinced that John Roberts and his conservative majority court will be one of the worst Supreme Courts in the history of the United States .

But that’s why SCOTUS wants to delay its decision until after the election. They don’t want Biden to be given the blanket immunity from prosecution prior to the election that they are willing to grant Trump if he is re-elected. They want to keep their powder dry. If they gave it before the election then Biden would have carte blanch to bar Trump from the election arguing, with good reason, that he was acting in the service of protecting the constitution from sliding into a dictatorship. That would be within his presidential remit and he would be assured immunity from prosecution.
Because of that possibility, expect the Supreme Court to delay its ruling allowing immunity until after Biden is out of office.

If a president has absolute immunity, then there would be no reason they couldn't throw justices off the Supreme Court simply because they didn't like the way they ruled on an issue. Their justification would merely have to be because I said so.
