Been rewatching the series and this scene sticks out so much in the early seasons. I love this sequence so much because they went through so much earlier in the season. The guys they're fighting hurt the club, hurt their families, hurt their wallets. The fight was a long time coming, and they built it up with this song beautifully.
Best music to go with this scene... And the rumble of the motorcycles just makes it all the more epic! Kate Segal's outfit is ON POINT, she looks freaking fierce!
Man this is the moment that made season 2 so memorable for me. Clay and Jax put aside their issues for Gemma. They agreed the League had to be eliminated. They formulated a plan that aside from the one brick, would have worked flawlessly. And while they are confident (as are we, the audience) that this fight with the League, they will walk away from clean, it is truly an uncertainty. Pairing Big Shot in this scene is genius, because the actors play into it so well. Clay telling Gemma he loves her in the most genuine way, Jax telling Tara he needs to go and her understanding, Opie kissing Lyla, yet having that stone cold gaze in his eyes... snd then when they are there waiting, the way the cast shows a mix of confidence, worry and ego... fucking perfection. The only other time that I can recall we saw this solidarity during the series is in S7E2 with the use of Til It's Gone where the reason is there (Jax wanting vengeance for Tara's death) but it being based on a lie, makes the club's decision to follow without question, less impactful.

I renember reading an interview for the finale and the detail of Jax changing the white sneakers (bloodied white sneakers) for black boots was remarked as a metaphore, one of the many. Whenever i rewatch the last episodes it truly kills me. The sheer amount of feelings and grief that Charlie, Theo, and the rest of the cast can convey is amazing..
Ryan Hurst in this scene is perfect. The look in his eyes at 0:13 really looks is like a man on a mission. #opie #soa #sonsofanarchy Ps this song makes this scene more perfect, a real masterpiece.
Katey Sagal played both sides of Gemma so well the caring den mother/vicious manipulative wife. She was a pleasure to watch through out the series. Gemma was also the only one that struck fear in Happy.
