King's Row has fallen from the Grace of S-Tier. It's so sad.
I always thought to myself "Circuit Royale feels like Skeeter" and I never knew why. Now it all makes sense!
Every metal or casual player I've ever played with absolutely hates Antarctica.
it took me such a long time to realize "metal" meant the metal ranks. i was thinking like "what does their taste in music have to do with their taste in maps??? i could definitely see norwegian black metal enjoyers having fun on antarctic peninsula, but yeah swedish death metal fans probably wouldn't like the really awkward layout of the sublevel point, and don't even get me started on canadian progressive metal listeners"

yet another 5v5, ok nah to be honest it's not even just 5v5, mobility creep and ow2's character design in general has I think made it less interesting

Dorado take is so true. I main ball and used to clear that 1st point high ground. Now if i do so my team is screwed
Circuit Royal is just build how people build mountain top fortresses in medival ages with the archer window that are closed from the invader side and open on the other, so if the invaded party has to go deeper back into the castle they would be able to shoot the advancing invader further
idk who did not see this coming on the blizzard team but with point 1 alone being a military strategy that favors the defender heavily should have been enough of a red flag
Blizzard devs are color blind. With every hero, map etc. there are countless red flags but they see them as green and go forward with those things.
I'd say KOTH maps generally feel better to play because they're just a lot simpler. The maps are symmetric so there's less situations that feel onesided and there being 3 maps to play give you much more options. You can switch it up if you won the first round, or try again on a map that favors your comp better if you lost. There's also less situations in which you might feel hamstrung by a comp mismatch.
Just do tier lists with jay again! Would love to see you two interact again! Keep it up sam!
I really dislike push, but Esperança has a special place in my heart because of 1 single game I had there.
Basically, I was playing with some friends, the enemy team pushed us to within 1m of closing the map, we are holding on by a thread in overtime.
Suddenly, we all suddenly decide to LOCK IN at the same time and push the entire thing in overtime.
It was FREAKING BEAUTIFUL

Circuit Royale is Z tier if tiers can even go that low, so bad. what were they thinking, its just so unfun to play. third point is mid first and second point are worth taking the penalty and just leaving the game

I am surprised no one is talking about weather changes, Blizzard World when it rains is lovely, but I hate it on the other ones for example, the inconsistent visual clarity between maps and lighting is ridiculous. They need to pick one lighting status for each map (best visibility one) and not touch them ever again. (imo!)
I think if Widow, Ashe, and Sombra got removed from the game, at least half of the bad maps would become good.

Nah, Kings Row is still the best map in the game. It's the only map where losing still feels fun, and winning is like a drug. It was better in Ow1, yeah, but it's still S-tier. It's been made even better because it's a breath of fresh air next to all of these horrible maps being added now.
Flashpoint and Push maps could have the best map design but I’d still not like it because I don’t like the modes

Antarctica has grown on me but I think it's clearly the worst koth map
Numbani is S tier for sure. New queens is definitely the best push map. Can’t stand the others except Esperanza is bearable. Paraisio is soooo awful to play. It makes me feel like shit dude.

Id say i agree with most of your choices, id say Eichenweld is S teir for me still i understand 2nd point can be annoying but im always excited to play it. Busan however... i personally hate that map, the only part i like is the area with the drum the other two not so much, i find mecha base very awkward to play in and the town if thers a sniper you pretty much cant do anything unless you are playing something that can contest the high ground, if not they have free range standing on the tall buildings with meh cover. Might be a skill issue but idk.
imo gubrolter is better in 5 v 5
think it more im a tank main playing monkey on that map
i have a lot of memories with hog otp as my second tank in 6 v 6
Push and the other new piece of shit mode need to fly out the window. Just go back 2.5 years.
Toronto is the only push map I think is slightly alright at best, the rest are garbage IMO

Numbani is the worst map in the game and it’s not close
Numbani is good for defense and offers ways to flank on every checkpoint for attack. Great map
Almost all the OW1 payload/hybrid maps fell off since they were designed with multiple tanks in mind. 5v5 ruined the feeling of them. I just quit whenever numbani or watchpoint pop up.

13:05 I'm genuinely curious: What does everyone love about Rein/Zarya so much?? Literally the two most boring tanks in the game to play as, with, or against. Not counting double shield obviously.
classic heroes with big playerbases that synergize with one another well
The rein zarya mirror matches felt fun for everyone because every tank was vulnerable at a point so they could die if they made a mistake and still make huge plays
What you fail to realize is the synergy. Their synergy was great, being able to compliment each other's brawling flaws. Doesn't mean it was unbeatable, but it allows each character to really demonsrrate their potential. Swinging into a grav, beaming a shatter, they were a real dynamic combo. Even the simple things, like bubbling a charge, or shielding a zarya were fun.
Being able to duo up with a friend is a big part of it for most.
When it's a mirror, then the mindgames truly come out. It takes simple concepts and runs with them, making then complex. It's a skillcheck to each duo.
@@Bishop- I do realize the synergy. I think that makes it a good duo in terms of performance. It just doesnt make it fun to me. To me its like the toyota corolla of tank duos. It just works and works and works, but there is nothing exciting or cool about it.
