Oh, Ecko, while it IS confusing I believe the changes on Ingots vs Raw materials to millibuckets is to alleviate an exploit where you could infinitely use 4 ingots to make a solid block which could be broken down into 9 ingots, giving you 5 more ingots for free. Pretty sure this nerf means it will take 8(?) ingots now, and you only get 1 ingots profit for each cycle, killing the exploit for the most part
It's even worse, do not put ingots in to make blocks, because it costs 10 ingots to make one block. Turning them back into ingots however (cans pick up 2 ingots) will give you back the right resources. (In turn actually, you could use the ingot stencil to get even more ingots from your raw material. 1 would equal 2)
@@Prizma_of_Prymina it only works through raw materials. I was just noting how 5 raw ore go into a bucket which can be moulded into a block which gives 9 ingots. Meanwhile the ingot cast will take a can of molten ore, which is equivalent to 2 ingots or 1 raw ore. Thus you can get 5 cans of raw ore and turn those into 10 ingots. The difference is just one ingot in the processes, but I didn't realize this until I commented just now 😅
I actually get what they are doing with Raw Material versus Ingots. Initially I was confused about the update, it use to be that a bucket of molten material was roughly 5 of any given material (5 iron, 5 gold, even 5 netherite, etc.) and also you could take those buckets and put them in the object to make full material blocks. THUS it effectively gave players a way to infinitely duplicate the materials. It was slow, but ultimately I think they wanted to reward players for using this smeltery over a normal furnace, because after all one bucket of lava cooks about 5 molten materials (I.E. 5 iron ingots), and that would ultimately be a lot less fuel efficient over just using your furnace and walking away (also clearly less time consuming to do it the classic way.) With the new implementation, they want to incentivize players who find raw materials to fill a bucket of molten material (The raw material actually giving more than the ingots) and using that process to create more Iron Ingots, without Ingots being repetitively used to dupe materials.
The ingots vs raw makes sense. Even irl. If you melt down iron(or any other metal) tht has already been processed you'd get diminishing returns. But melting down raw versions of tht metal, you'd be able to save more of tht specific metal. The smelting process is mainly to remove impurities.
The morph gauntlet has an update The withers ability was buffed, the wither will now fire 3 normal skulls and 1 power skull before entering cool down Armadillo was added The wolf and cats has an ability were you change variants The zombie drowned and zombie villager morphs can now burn in daylight
5:55 I think that is done to encourage players to use the smeltery to smelt ores rather than a furnace because you will get more material from the smeltery. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it is the same way on Java edition.
5:45 The reason why ingots are less than raw iron is because you can put the melted iron into a basin to get a block, then turn that into ingots. The way it was before, you could then melt down all 9 ingots and get multiple blocks, essentially duplicating your metal.
To be fair, Tinker’s Construct was always, in part, about having a way to maximize your raw materials. I remember doing FTB packs back in the day and always waiting to smelt my raw ore because I knew if could get two ingots from it as opposed to one in a furnace. I’m really glad it’s still a feature of the smeltery!
crashes often when combined with the naturalist add-on for some reason. otherwise it's pretty fun. i really hope that bug gets fixed though. i really enjoy playing both but i've ended up just using naturalist as a consequence
In RL when you melt a raw metal to make a pure substance like molten iron, the imputities will float to top. The remaining cooled ingot will he less than total weight of starting ore. Im just assuming they didnt think about yhe impurities totaling towards the total weight of ores
I think they lowered the ingots’ mb because before you could take 4 of whatever mineral, melt it, get a bucket of it, dump it in the casting basic for a block of whatever the mineral was, then make that into ingots and infinitely repeat this for infinite resources. Unfortunate but necessary change I think.
Prior to the update the lava storage bins could hold 4 or 5 buckets of lava. Now its 2. Also iron ingots dont always wanna go into them. Lava also likes to bug out when you attempt to put in or take out of the storage areas. Caught my base on fire 12 times, and killed myself twice.
So do I have to use the small smelter for iron because I was struggling so hard to figure out why my smelter wasn’t working I even tried putting copper in I did everything right is it just a bug with iron and copper?
Finally some love to updates For me, what makes a addon good, is many things, but one of them is if they get updated, but I basically never been able to apply that for my personal addon reviews since almost no one covers addons updates 😭 I just have to click on them, see if there are some new patch notes and guess if it’s a good update
Really appreciate you letting us know about the update and giving more Information on how to use this add on Thank you! Keep up the amazing content! Hope you look having a great start to the week! Take care.
I just got to say thank you! I had no idea how this scene worked so I've been looking on the internet for an hour so I went to UA-cam and I found this video at first. Actually really awesome on explaining stuff. Plus you didn't spoil too much. So yeah, thank you again
one thing I hope they add that is in the original, is the ability to multiple materials in the smelter. Maybe they can add a menu you can interact with that shows the total capacity and lets you select which material to extract.
@@MaskMagic_ Cool, you prefer to get free labor out of mod creators. Meanwhile Mojang is setting up a way for 3rd party creators (the fans of Minecraft that create this stuff) to make a steady rate from their creations AND it will continue to work with every coming update of the game because of how it is integrated, AND it is as easy as just clicking the button "activate" in the world's menus. use your free mods, I'm glad that the game has that level of versatility. I however find the stigma that spending 6 bucks is somehow criminal for content that has literal labor behind it. 5:59 I think the reason they did this was because of iron farms. Whilst you can get loads of raw iron, especially with fortune, iron can be easily obtained automatically. So it's a trade of more time, less work. They could be equal the same instead but this was my guess on why they did it
Found a bug! Stacked slaps or atleast some stacked slaps break if you try to break them with a Tinkerers workshop pickaxe. For example stacked Polished Deepslate Slabs.
I had cobalt and the other just generate in chunks that I had originally loaded years ago. It replaced blocks like netherrack, obsidian, and even the air blocks. Yes it did replace one of the obsidian in my portal before. The ores have done this in multiple worlds.
I can see why you would say that the raw materials should produce less than the refined ore in terms of Gameplay, but in real life you’re going to get more from dumping in raw material than you would with putting an ingot into a furnace. The raw materials have a higher content of metal than the finished materials do. It also helps make people want to make this complicated multi block structure.
I hope they keep updating because there is some minor glitches. Like you cant place any of the seared blocks atop copper or cut copper (which is a bit annoying because I always find too much copper and built a house out of it

Being this video is 5 months old I don’t know if you’ll get this but I recently started a world with the add on and I’m having trouble melting cobalt in the smithy similar to the Dimond bug you were talking about in this video I’ve tried breaking and replacing the smithy and that didn’t seem to work for me I’m wondering if I need blazing lava to melt cobalt?
how do i fix the smeltry controller, casting table/basin, and seared drain/tank from appearing as "item.ftb_tc:e_p_smeltry controller" and having an invisible texture?
I found a bug and idk how to tell the plp who made it, but with the new drying rakes if you shift and spam punch you doup the block, and you can also place multiple in one spot which just gets ride of one of the rakes
I know you did the world builder on with all those copy and pasting tools etc but it was a lot in one video do you think you could make videos focusing on one or two things at a time
I had the wonderful idea of creating a realm with friends just came out the new update in minecraft and add this addon along with others, but it turns out and highlights that my friends do not see even the icon of the guide books, and obviously not be able to open them... but the worst thing is that it also affected the other addons that I put making the books do not appear either!! It's an incredible negligence that I'm very upset that it happened at the beginning of the real and made nobody want to play anymore, now I just have to take it away and regret having given my money to something wrong...
I like it, I use it as a way to challenge myself by only crafting wooden tools until i have the things needed to craft the stone tools that the mod pack has.
So my problem i have is outside of one specific thing to get the smelter the basin is essentially useless after that given 5 raw materials is equivalent to 10 ingot which last I check 10 is greater then 9. Yes if you need a lot of iron blocks fast its great to use but if you are trying to get the most use of the 5 raw material then making 10 ingots and crafting it into a block of itself.
Anyone saying it should be free I think it shouldn’t because it is really good and high quality and stuff on bedrock takes forever to make because it is specifically designed for consoles
On the ps4 version, majority of the icons just don’t exist, it’s simply a 2d white square, it even slows down the transition in and out of the inventory.
The most recent update for this addon broke axes. They seem to all mine at the speed of you breaking wood with your fists. At first I thought it was just the stone axe, but then I made a bone axe and an iron axe and they both don't chop wood properly.
I have all the addons that I feel I need but I would absolutely love if some one made a really scary one while I try to live my live normally and fear for my life when I leave my base
Wish there was a way to disable the spawning of cobalt and ardite. Its consuming portal frames, structures and other things build in the Nether. My nether looks like a blue/yellow disco floor
They had to make the mb changes because before you could make an entire block with just 4 or 5 ingots, then break that block down. Creating infinite resources, the now 1 raw iron is equal to 2 ingots and 10 ingots makes 1 block.
Hey, I bought this addon about 4 days ago, and when trying to use it, around half of items are invisible for me, including the change log item. They all just show their text as “item.ftb_tc: (item name)” like item.ftb_tc:e_p_casting_table (example) How do I fix this? I play xbox
Great video will we see the hammer and shovel for 3x3 areas in the future and will the tinkers modifier system be introduced in the near future ie moss balls lava crystals etc
Hello good video! I still follow the instructions but For some reason I can’t put the molten iron into the Caster after putting in the Stone Pickaxe head into the sand
I bought this before the update when I finally got around to trying it myself, I updated the add-on then went into a new creative world to test it out, during my testing when I filled the seared tank with two lava buckets, the display started flashing on and off. I don't know if it's a bug or a rare one that happened for me
I'll start a world when 1.21 update is released. I really dont wanna start a world then have to make a new world or travel to new chunks in the coming weeks. 1.21 is around the corner
I’m having trouble casting diamonds. ive tried gold and sand casts i’ve broken it and reput it down and it still won’t cast unless i’m miss understanding how casting is done but i’ve read all the book front to back and i’m doing it the way they explain.
I'm having trouble trying to craft gold casts. I can make a sand Cleaver Cast, I was able to make a gold Pickaxe cast, but I can't make a gold Cleaver Cast. I can place the Cleaver Blade on the Casting Table, but it won't let me pour the Molten Liquid Gold. I did figure out that I had to use Copper cans instead of Iron Buckets. I'd also like to suggest that an option be made to the Ore Melter to allow us to remove the fuel when not using it. Seems wasteful for it to just sit there and burn through coal when there's no ore being melted.
Is it possible to turn off the basic tools because when I did it I could still build the original tools which made to easy idk I love this mod because it makes you struggle and it makes it more realistic
My one gripe isnt even the add-ons fault, I wish you could disable certain crafting recipes as I would love to do a playthrough using only this kind of crafting but you still have access to all the normal gear which is better in most cases. That or mine is bugged as the stone axe and stone shoel is about as fast as using my hands.
Fix this bug if you have an ardite pickaxe and mine cobalt and rapidly mine netherack you gets lots of ingots out of it for the cost of like 1 cobalt ore op bug if tested further and could break server economies
Hi ecko, I have made a realm with some friends and we add this add-on, but some of the stuff doesn´t appear, we already have activated education mode, and experimental, you have any idea of what could be happening? I hope you can help me, thanks man.

Tell me how to get scarlet slime and all the other kinds of slime! And how to melt diamonds! Do you just need the big smeltery?
Are you going to do a review of the newest furniture add on by honeyfrost?
Yeah I’m half way done, its a big addon 😅
@@ecko cool! I was just curious. Thanks!
Is there an online guild we can use because I want to know what all the perks do specifically and if they work with enchantments?
hopefully u do the 15th anniv add-on i cant figure out how to get the npc to do anything & all he does it runs around eating cake
I'll start a world when 1.21 update is released. I really dont wanna start a world then have to make a new world or travel to new chunks in the coming weeks. 1.21 is around the corner
i haven't able to put in any of the metals and ores in my smelter, the mini smelter works fine, but diamond works fine
Do I need a Netherite pick to mine Cobalt and Ardite or is there an alloy that can mine both of those ores?
Diamond pick axe works. It's kind of like obsidian and takes a moment to mine.
So for me im pretty far into it and i have some of the gold casts. However when i try and use them the molten metal wont pour on the casting table
When will they add the custom bows and repierers to the game and will they ever add the ability to make tools out of paper obsidian and cactus tool??
If you can ask the creator how to mine cobalt faster. It seems that no matter what kind of netherite tier pickaxe, it always takes so long.
You specifically need tinkers pickaxes to mine it, I used iron and it went fast
I’m having trouble casting diamonds. ive tried gold and sand casts i’ve broken it and reput it down and it still won’t cast unless i’m miss understanding how casting is done but i’ve read all the book front to back and i’m doing it the way they explain.
stone repair kits dont work on the lite version i tryed on my stone tinker tools, it says wrong material type
How do you repair tools that used 2 materials? (E.g copper amethyst + gold pickaxe)
Lapis can be mined with stone pickaxe in vanilla.
Hi ecko, I have made a realm with some friends and we add this add-on, but some of the stuff doesn´t appear, we already have activated education mode, and experimental, you have any idea of what could be happening?
I hope you can help me, thanks man.
