    Nice work! I’ve had mine for about 3 years. It’s well built and usually stays in tune in between playings. I wish it had a better high end response from the pickups, but adding some high end on the EQ pedal does the trick to give it more of that classic Rick sound.

    I just received the RB 612 CS I ordered and overall I was happy with the fit and finish, tone, etc. , especially for the price. However the G strings seemed difficult to get in tune …. before buying I had read that changing strings on these is crazy hard… with only 6 slots for 12 strings, each pair of strings having to share one hole in the tailpiece …. so I also bought a WD 12 string trapeze tailpiece with 12 slots for less than $30, it cost$37.84 with shipping… The 12 slot tailpiece fit on the existing trapeze and I was able to restring the guitar with the original strings because I’m cheap lol…. it worked! Something about not having to share a hole solved the G string problem… so I highly recommend to all purchasers of this guitar, spend the extra 30 bucks and you won’t have restringing problems, and if you’re having tuning issues maybe that will help as well. GREAT review, great playing BTW… but there IS another review worth watching… on “Jon is just TOO loudD“ UA-cam channel.

    You've gotten the best sound out of this of any video on yotube. still sounds thin to me...
    Love the tune at the end. :) Demonstrates why we love 12 strings.

    That chord I believe is from Genesis' Supper's Ready, just before the start of the first verse, "walking across the sitting room, I turn the television on...."

    I like the sound of this guitar - had not seen it before. I have a Thomann tele which I like but it's very heavy. This guitar has a cool retro look pickguard - kinda like a danaelectro maybe. Anyway, great video.

    How is it's playability (particularly the neck) as compared to other 12 strings?

    One review on Thomann shared a nightmare experience of spending 4 hours restringing. Can we presume this was due to inexperience?

      Bruce Gatewood could you please tell me wich riff is the one played on the bridge pickup? I’m sure i know it perfectly, but it’s like a blind spot in my mind 😂

    • @bmg613
      @bmg613  4 роки тому

      On the bridge pickup, I played something from the top of my head that could sound like some songs.
      However, when I played the neck and bridge combined, I played a snippet of “Tears” from Rush. Was that what you we’re thinking of?

    • @kheo80
      @kheo80 4 роки тому +1

      Bruce Gatewood not really, i recognized “Tears”, but still i’m sure you played something that i know on the bridge pickup... I’ll try my best to figure it out. It’a a personal challenge 😂

    • @bmg613
      @bmg613  4 роки тому

      When you figure it out, please tell me 😂 it sounds a little bit like the verse from “Wait” by White Lion.

    just bought one of these....can't help but wonder why no one mentions that these things are about 3/4's the size of a standard guitar.....like they're made for a little kid or something...what gives?????

    • @bmg613
      @bmg613  5 років тому

      I agree with you about the size of the guitar and no one (including me) mentioning it. How do you like yours despite the size? A full size/scale version would be great!

    • @j2manj2
      @j2manj2 5 років тому +1

      Bruce, otherwise the guitar is fine....but the size really annoys me.....I have over 30 guitars and this one , hanging with the rest looks like an oversized mandolin....this was my first HB......now I'm afraid to buy another one.........

      @@bmg613 correct me if I'm wrong but aren't these the same scale length as Gibson? Or is the body itself really small? From what I understand a 24.7" to 25" scale length is desirable in a 12 string because it reduces string tension which is a big deal when you're holding down twice as many strings at a time

    • @bmg613
      @bmg613  4 роки тому +3

      DerpCon4 You are right. It’s like a Gibson Neck on a Ric 325. The Body is really small.

    • @derpcon4212
      @derpcon4212 4 роки тому

      @@bmg613 maybe it's just me, but with the body styling and lengthened headstock it looks proportionate to my eyes. But I'm 6'3" so perhaps I'd feel similar holding it in person. I still think it would look less like a kid's guitar than Zakk Wylde and his Les Paul but that's an extreme case haha

    They look nice, they sound nice...don't even consider it! I bought one...the bridge was cut so terribly wrong that there's a huge gap between the 3rd and 4th sets of strings! Harley Benton REFUSES TO SELL ME A NEW BRIDGE or even new lugs for it that I can cut myself! So, I could replace it with a better aftermarket one, but, it would STILL be a Harley Benton! I'm BURNING mine!!! SCREW HARLEY BENTON!!!
