Muscle cars did get a lot slower in the early to mid 70's. Stricter regulations on engine emissions killed their power. Their power has been picking up a lot over the past 20 years though. And there are also very few cars that can run in the 10's and 11's today period, not just few domestics.

But by saying that muscle cars are slow, its very easy to make the connection that you are saying that another car is fast. Since this is a honda videos, its easy to assume you mean hondas. And you are also right, you cant compare 8 cylinders to 4. v8's make a lot of torque while 4 cylinders don't.
