Man it has been 15 years since this video was uploaded. This video influenced me in my younger age to get ek coupe and got me very deep into Hondas. Lsvtec, JDM Type r swap, b20vtec, turbo builds.... Did it all!
This video is about 9 years old. Anyways a CRX with this power was made for racing purposes (that is just my guess). Obviously sticking 670 hp in the front from a dig will spin. but at a roll this car can do some major damage. Just because a car has 4 cylinders doesn't mean it cant put a V8 or V6 to sleep. I love all cars, so no hate to any, but some should understand that getting 670 out of a Honda motor 9 years a go is crazy. Even today that would be a lot.
watched this back in 08 when my neighbor use to drive one with a loud ass exhuast system and granny shifting never sounded so sweat, i got one in 2016 and it met a grim fate in 2018. here it is 2020 and i just got another delsol with so much more power than my last it scares me lol and this video.. this video has kids screaming, cars almost getting hit, no seat belts, dogs in the road and one sexy ass exhaust sound. this video always bring inspiration of what my delsol could be one day. thanks!

My lil bro was 13 had a ef with Ls none vtech si trans smoking people with Lsv an gsr's without tune we didn't know shit about tunning till some guy from Fresno ca seen my brother smoking V8's an said what y'all got u guys on nitrous we popped hood bone stock Ls so he invited use to his tunning shop he would not charge us for labor just the parts we bought an here we are making noise in central California, tunning shop closed down
My dad gots 3 crxes in 6 year 2 red ones and a blue one but that blue one tho that was beast 387 hp dude and that was the most beautiful crx ive ever seen in my entire life .

Love this del sol it looks mint, engine looks so fresh, the spoiler fits really nice with the del sols body and lines. Yea this guy dosn't know how to drive manual, he stalls like 1:24, but all in all best del sol i've seen.
@riceburnagtv Dude the ZR1 has independet rear suspension-not a live rear axle. It uses same magneto-rheological dampers as the Ferrari 599. The dampers are filled with a fluid which is mixed with iron particles, and the viscosity can be changed instantly by varying the electric current passing through it, therefore adjusting the damping rate. The ZR1 adjusts the dampers every 0.002 seconds to react to the changing road conditions. Forgot about the evo and sti but thats it......

I put a lot of time and effort into my Del Sol as well. I am also very proud of it. But, when on the street, I drive responsibly and follow the rules of the road. If you can afford a couple grand to hoon your Honda, then you can afford the couple hundred to take it to the track to show off it's power and speed in a safe and controlled environment. Where you won't "almost hit dogs", and scare small children with the noise of your exhaust!
@LongBeachPits562 Hi, yes you can use a b16 ecu to run a b20. If you eventually want to tune, you can socket it and run neptune, hondata, ectune or lots of other tuning software's. If you already have a b16 you can do what's called a b20vtec, which is to use a b20 block with your existing b16 head.
The del sol is actually heavy for it size due to the reinforcement that goes in for the open top. Weighed mine on the scale 2400 without driver,and that was gutted. Still fun cars as long as it is not raining.
i do see where you are coming from but no matter how much anyone complains or hates him for it, it is his hard earned cash and he can do what he wants with it.
i dont usually like hondas but that is actually bad ass, with all that power sounds like you need longer gears. with 600 hp and little weight it will pull thru longer gears easier, i think it slows you down to shift every 3 seconds
@bolondosh its a racing clutch, you cant take off at low rpms like a normal clutch. this is a drag car, not a street car. not to mention those tires are either radials or slicks and hes frying them in every gear
@psychoninja911 chipping the ecu doesn't cost money besides buying a chip burner. turbo kit cost 1000(for a small turbo) we only spent 3000 to turbo/build a ka. About the head it doesn't need to get beefed up you got it mixed around. The sr has a weak head that likes to valve float even if you have stoppers. How much is it to get a sr20? 1700 but you would still have to upgrade the whole turbo setup just to make more power. So all in all its the same thing turboing a ka.
@TheAlexisssss forget the clutch, i give the chassis a year before the excess hp and lack of proper race reinforcement warps the chassis somewhere. i would love that much power in my sol but not at the cost of excessive obnoxiousness
And that my friends, is why some company out there SERIOUSLY needs to start making race transmissions for Hondas that have TALLER GEARS!!! Not to be a doubter, but I would like to see the dyno #'s (Without it on full boost or using NOS) for that car. Either way, it's fast as hell... Much respect. also cool to see someone tuning the Del Sol, Civic Hatches and Coupes are a little overplayed....

@lowell123 I guess that depends. Vtec is cam management. If you did some kind if special synchronized cam gear management in a SR20... KA is SUPER expensive to build up. I mean I guess in the long run, the KA is better since it's 2.4 right? But the sr20 is a DIRECT swap. It's already a turbo'd engine. So the rings are BUILT to handle the combustion pressure of turbo boost. The head can handle like up to 400hp? Starting with a KA engine, you have to do TONS of work. Been reading TONS into this.
I figured the Engine itself was at fault, Conked out b4 the initial test, and clutch was to ensure it didn't conk out again, but the double clutch system does make sence.
i just bought a del sol . i like them and good work car is sick. the only thing i dont like is that honda drivers dont have respect for other ones. so dont show your shit off at a meet . otherwise your gonna wwake up and it will be gone
