It's not often you post losses on your deck highlights, but I know the intention is to see how the deck plays out on it's best days to better give us an understanding of how to play the deck. It's also appreciated that, when you do post a loss, you explain what you could/should have done to have turned it into a win. Understandably, you were playing into a potential Loki, which has been a point of loss for the opponent at times. Regardless, thanks for showcasing lots of cool decks, even some that aren't the best, but still a lot of fun to play.
I like how some cards that were ignored before now become more relevant like Man-Thing and Lady Deathstrike All the cards that are added to the game have something cool to experiment with it just that some may need more time experimenting with them... Or in the case of Rockslide and Hazmat, another card to complement them
And Deathstrike did get buffed by 1, which on her is a much bigger deal than on most cards since it directly improves how many cards she can hit with her ability.
Eh, imo, I don't personally think it's that big of an issue. Both of them are individually strong 4 costs to work with Zabu, enough to the point where I'd probably just run both and deal with the possibility of low rolling the Lad.
@@michaelbesser5348it’s normally frowned upon. Having specific tech choices is normally a deck where you don’t want lad, as obviously the overall value of lad decreases since some of the time you want the 4/6 body where you don’t want the Shang roll on lad, like in the game where he played lad and darkhawk to nexus on the final turn.
@@CidCidCid I would agree that it isn't great normally, but the thing is that Lad and Shang are both really good cards. Your options are to either remove Iron Lad for some other 4 cost (of which I'd argue there aren't many great ones to deal with in this particular deck outside of Lad) or deal with it. With how much Shang and Lad can do in a deck like this, I think you kind of just have to accept that the low roll of Lad into Shang will happen sometimes. As an example of what I mean, before Loki, there were some Iron Patriot variations that actually ran Ultron. Having your Lad become Ultron was usually really bad, but you kind of had to deal with it because Ultron and Lad were each too powerful to give up on their own. Not every variation did run Ultron, of course (and eventually this died out in favor of Brood Absorbing Man stuff), but the ones that did couldn't really afford to give up Lad or Ultron individually, so they just accepted the fact that sometimes you'll low roll. I get the overall logic that their is some anti-synergy with Lad and Shang, but trying to avoid that would mean trying to find a Lad replacement, and I'm not convinced there really is a great other 4 cost to use instead of Lad in this deck right now.
Jeff could you try out this deck I made around a couple of new cards I just got (sentry + doctor octopus). 1. The hood 2. Ghost spider 3. Ebony maw 4. Viper 5. Psylocke 6. Goose 7. Luke cage 8. Cosmo 9. Sentry 10. Man thing 11. Doctor octopus 12. Heimdal The overall strategy is to control where your opponent plays with cards like goose, Cosmo and man thing. You can also setup massive 8 cube wins just by playing heimdal and sliding your cards into your ebony maw lane Theres quite a few combos in the deck. 1. Hood, psylocke, viper + demon + ebony maw 2. Sentry + viper (can also do this together on turn 5 if you play psylocke) 3. Man thing + goose 4. Ebony maw + ghost spider 5. Doc octopus + ghost spider 6. Cosmo + sentry 7. Psylocke on T2, man thing T3, goose + cage T4 You could probably cut doc and psylocke and instead have zabu + shang chi for a bit more flexibility
Zabu Hawk-Thing has been performing well for me this season since Man-Thing's release, it allows so much flexible tech that it has done well for me into mirrors, loki and even elsa decks
I’m going to try Jessica Jones as a pro-active 4 drop swap for the Iron Lad. How many (on average) good Absorbing Man targets does a deck need to support him?
The loss having DH in the left spot would've caused the opponent to play different. Probably out kitty mid instead of shang. Sometimes not lucky rubber ducky.
Zabu/Darkhawk never left. Just feel like people have been tired of it. I built an all pixel deck last night for fun that runs DH. Its surprisingly good. And also runs Wong/BP/Zola which crushes Kitty/Blood decks.
Dark Hawk was my MVP to get to infinite this season. I played a homebrew Darkhawk lockdown with the current package of Prof X, Storm and Alioth and had 76% win rate from 83-100 against very few bots (they rain in the 70's, but become a rare find from 83 on since a couple of seasons).
I hope we get a Black Knight for rock decks. Black Knight made a bunch if new ways to play discard instead of Hela. I hate like Darkawk but I want to play ROCKS
I know they are bad for analytics, but I will always appreciate an educational loss

Agreed on liking the losses included.
I went to my local library to get a book on robots. The librarian said, "Try anything by Anne Droyd."
"Guys, gals, and non-binary pals" always puts a smile on my face :) It's a lot of fun to see a content creator who enjoys the game he is playing!
Hell yeah, shoutout from a fellow non-binary pal!
Replace for ironlad?
Highlighting your variants during the deck tech is the sweetest eye candy! That Rogue ❤

Man-thing just came out - i wouldn't say its been ignored.

In the past you've said that Iron Lad and Shang Chi shouldn't be in a deck together. What's your take on both of them appearing in this list?

You need Iron Lad to have enough density of proactive four energy cards in your deck with Zabu. Shang is also too good to not play right now IMO.
Always happy to see Jund pop up, no matter what game it is

It always amazes me how you can tell what an opponents deck after just the first round or two.

Also, this engagement is in no way an attempt to bribe the algorithm into liking losses in the video 😃
That is the best darkhawk split I’ve ever seen
This is my favorite deck rn. 3/3 Gold conquests with it.

Nah this deck was fully gone during waves peak last month
I’ll leave a comment just to say I liked that the games all played out fully. The loss was interesting to think snot as well
don't like that much blackwidow, i'm playing alioth instead
what d u think about it?
i just made an iteration of this, but with Ronan. I'm a glutton for punishment and want Ronan to be good, lol.
The ad in the corner is really distracting
Paid well though. Will be gone tomorrow.

Arent you supposed to not play shang with iron lad?
I have a similar deck
But instead of Shang I have death strike
shadow king should be 2/2 or 2/1
