Don't know how you do all that by yourself. Good job 👍🏻👍🏻 Give Molly some treats 🐕
My AC install was the same, one guy was on vac, so just one guy, the owner did it. Towards the end, he got me to help him a bit, lol
I love watching your videos, especially change outs. Your craftsmanship and workmanship are outstanding. Especially doing it all yourself. Thanks for posting.
Replace a Whole AC system and install New System 😮😮 it's A Whole lot of Works.... One Man job. 👍👍 Always great job teacher
Stay-Brite #8 is good stuff. Never had it fail once.
Brazing and soldering are both excellent methods for joining copper pipes, and both are strong enough for refrigeration lines. Brazing is generally stronger and more resistant to fatigue than soldering, and is often used for refrigeration units and other applications that require high joint strength. However, soldering may be better in some situations, such as when brazing would be too hot for the job or when joints need to be easily dismantled so i have always been of the opinion that you should use what is appropriate to do the job to a high standard and you just don’t gain much whether you braise or solder so I myself personally choose to use solder as well unless the job calls for it but the one thing i won’t use is that pro press crap im not trusting anything to a crimp and a o ring I guess people have forgotten the big mess that polybutylene caused, and still is causing anyways excellent video Steve i do enjoy watching your videos you do excellent work
Whenever I'm feeling rusty on my HVAC skills you're the man to watch. Thank you for sticking around.
Great job Steve.......

Lots of respect for your attention to detail.

Great video Steve
Great work Legend!👍🤘
Nice job Steve! What a beautiful location
I’m glad my system is slightly oversized here in texas, we are in the triple digits
It's been miserable
It horrable as well for me Near San Antonio
@@tedbell4416 it has been terrible. I have a 3.5 ton on my 1400 sq ft home, set at 70 and it maintains with no problem whatsoever.
I love StayBrite 8. It’s a great solder for HVAC linesets.
Nice work
Nice metal work
Good job, that was a lot of work. I'm sure it wasn't cheap but the customer got a good install.
Steve is working again!
Awesome 👌 👏 👍
That's a lot of work for one guy. Gj.

Поздравляю 200к подписчиков и последователей🎉
Be safe out there my fellow HVAC Brother
Workin hard
Nice stairs to the attic
Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again ya’ll. 👍👍
Had a refrigerant hammer problem on compressor shutdown on one of these units when it was in heat mode. The problem was the TXV in these Ruud units need to be vertical or as vertical as you can get it (45 degrees being acceptable). The problem is in the internal check valve inside these TXVs. If the lineset shakes on shutdown in heat mode it's the TXV, and it needs to be twisted until it's vertical or at least 45 degrees or more. This was on a Ruud heat pump unit.
Howdy Steve and Miss Molly
Million dollar view
Looks like alot of work for 1 man
2 days work ... not hard if you have 1/2 a brain
Hello Steve!
Nice tight system baby!!!!
You’re right it is a waste of
Great install Steve looks beautiful. I wonder how much that job job cost a homeowner.
Tire fixed/repaired (Tires Plus), it was a nail (I knew that 32 bucks). One of my Hallmarks is watching creators, that I'm Subbed to or returning to them. Their content. Maybe Papa Smurf will see this! HA! Happy Independence day fellows!!!!!
It ain't Steves first rodeo mamma!!!
Install with a view!
should have brought his swim suit!
Looks like. Give Miss Molly a Hug from Me.
You know Steve, the know-it-alls (or blow-bags, as you call them) would complain that you aren't 'brazing' your connections versus soldering them, as you do. And I would have been inclined to believe them except, after comparing your joints to theirs [brazed], I'd do it YOUR way. Why? Because you've done it that way for years with equal results and the best part? Soooo much quicker, neater and without overheating the joints or components as brazing tends to do! 👍
AND ITS STRONGER .. NO NITROGEN PURGE NEEDED. FOR ME ITS A NO BRAINER .. EITHER WAY WILL WORK JUST FINE .
Nothing like new.
Happy 4th Steve and Ms Molly. Question.. what soldering tip set up do u use and what gas are u using?
The problem with staybright 8, is you have to use Flux. Flux will contaminate the refrigerant.
Space shuttle setup
How about a new update on the truck? Haven't heard about any trouble with it. Still liking it?
Hello family
I have a gauge set here left over from R12 days. The hoses havent weathered well but the har4dware is still decent. there is also a vacuum pump. Last AC season you said you needed a decent set for reclaiming and installing
R12 that would freeze you out of the car, the good ol days
@@tedbell4416 Bah! Stupid ozone layer. We don't go outside anymore anyways!
Hey Steve, did the existing line set need to be flushed with a solvent or is just nitrogen enough?
I would think that 3/4 would need to be bumped to 7/8-1" for the new systems. I didn't actually know. I've just heard it many times before.
I'm about a Deli 'burn out', but stick to my duty to be Helpful! I'm getting my Tire fixed tomorrow! Who cares, right?
Old compressor probably got flooded back from that clogged air filter (see previous video)
wish they'd move that dryer vent away from that condenser
I took it up one piece at a time, and the customer paid the dime.
I dont think he's billing hourly
Great song
And negatory on the cost of this mow-chine … 🎵
hey steve do you go to taunton?
Are you doing all those installations by yourself in one day these AC replacements specialty addicts
The old system was R-22. Shouldn't the lineset be flushed?
I'm sure he did , not everything comes out on the video.
Should be Helium, we could hear Mickey Mouse Steve! Just dicking around, hey, I get two days off a week man.🍺
Cash jobs get done!
How much? Is this a heat pump system?
No it's not heat pump
DINASAUR JUICE , is crude oil , not 410a gas LOL
Ruud replaced with a Ruud
its no problem at all especially considering in the original video steve found out the unit was from 2008... 16 almost 17 years out of a rudd isn't bad at all especially considering ac doesn't last forever
@@matisso.5278it was a 03 old unit
@@matisso.5278 And less when on the Salty coast.
@@matisso.5278 mine is 24 but not in the salt air that's a big difference
Yep I’d do the same thing. Rheem/Ruud are the best in the industry.
4:45 if it walks like a duck…..
ducks are the beagles of the bird world
Oh I hope you didn't waste all that wow you two are older gentlemen's anyways there is no excuse why you can't have some fun no girls around guys just want to have fun you know what I mean come on
Wow that's some good s*** man sounds like some good s*** over there need to stop by sometime man we got some good s*** here too man peace man God bless yeah my old lady is chewing me out cuz she doesn't know who you are
I was going to say I'm always with him right now Molly is with him right now you know she's having fun too there's no way that's not going to happen
Yea u get the guys who say things like I don't use staybrite or I don't dope unions. 😆 Yea but I'll bet ya rubberneck everything and anything on a road side causing dangerous conditions as you do for absolutely no reason because the information won't help you at all. So there ya have it. 😆
You wouldn't want to do brazen up in attic space like that, you make one mistake and the house gets toasted Brazen is more in commercial settings like refrigeration
he's soldering, way quicker and not as hot. gotta do it just right though otherwise it won't last. (that's what I've heard for 410a)
😂 a flame is a flame if it touches something flammable it lights. You could still lit up the house while soldering. Pro press/lock fittings is the only non heat work.
@@hvacslayer2929 yeah 100. We only use propress, aside from brazing in filter dryers. Super quick
No, people been brazing on A/C lines for ever. It's fine in attics
I don't know anything about hvacs but I wondered the same thing when i saw him soldering in the attic. Easy way to cook a house with anything flammable up there.
First 🏆 😊
1st
Just can't figure out why you wear gloves? You afraid of getting your hands dirty? A real plumber is not afraid of getting crap all over them😂
Nicely done
