As someone who was in the crowd at DH Winter, it was electric and the audience exploded when you won. That's a memory I'll keep, just revving up the Ar-Ma-Da chant with a few others until the entire crowd went nuts wsa epic! :D
Been really awesome over the past year getting to see a much more personal side of you through your channel dude. Please keep posting analysis you're on another level with this stuff.
When I first got into smash I was never a fan of yours (not for any reason, you just didn't appeal to me) but after all of the uploads you've been posting recently you've definitely earned yourself a fan! Thanks for the content :)
Happy to hear dude =) I feel personally that the number 1 thing I lacked was that many people never got any chance to know me a bit better, tournament streams does not show much. So now I focus a lot on streaming and YT and it's been so much fun =D
Armada you're totally right, I disliked you before because you seemed like a robot, and although you're not my favorite player, I do like you a lot now
I know for a fact Genesis 2 and EVO 2015 are topping the list. Just a hard call on which meant more to him. You got Armada finally winning a US Major and becoming the best in the world at G2. He overcame the trio of Mang0, Hbox, and PP who all denied him victory at G1, Apex'10, and PV respectively. Then there's his EVO win. Finally winning a Premier Major in 2+ years since his return from retirement, once again becoming the best in the world, and challenging Mang0's claim to the GOAT title.
I can tell you for sure that Genesis 2 will be #1. He has said before that it's his greatest win of all time. You're also correct though that EVO 15 will be #2.
You didn't win the tournament but your Apex 2015 loser's run might be better than Smash Summit 2. Beat 4 different top 6 members in a row with a "relatively new" secondary.
Very true, if I managed to win the event it would have been my best losers run and also up there for one of the best ever, thing is that I did not :P Still a really crazy tournament for me, one of the few times I felt that "okay" with losing
I think it'd be really cool if you'd link in the description a video of either what you think was the most important set of each tournament, or else the grand finals of each tournament. I'd love to watch a clip of you in each of the tournaments.
Could you make a top 10 hardest losses video and show how you bounced back from each of them? I feel it'd greatly help the community and let people know you more :)
Like a lot of people, i like you way more now that i know more about you. This youtube channel was a great idea and the content is super interesting. You are a nice person, keep up the good work, on melee and on youtube !
Should makea youtube serie called Memories or story telling, where you talk about anecdotes from the past. Stories from hanging out with other top players, fromtournament, from your personnal life, from you and your brother, etc.
Being the best melee player, how do you see yourself getting better than you already are? Is there still room for improvement even for the number 1 player?
If you give me a crazy ammount of tries I would probably pull it off eventually. Thing is Fox is so much better/easier to win with, I don't care about beating Hbox once, I wanna win as much as I can do. No one in the world would ever be able to beat Hbox even "kinda often" unless some major discovery changed the MU entirely and I doubt that exist in the game
Armada Hmm...I agree with that now that you put it that way. I've always envisioned you or ppmd being the only people capable outside of Leffen capable of winning a supermajor with one character...i'd like to say Jason/m2k but he has no faith in his Marth outside of Spacies (even in the ditto) anymore. His competitive mentality has changed over the years
Obvi...u could also include Hbox in that solo main convo. But yeah Fox is much easier than having to play peach against Hbox. Or marth/sheik in the case of m2k.
Alright I'm gonna make some guesses at your top 5 #1 is obviously Genesis 2 and #2 is obviously Evo 15, but beyond that it gets harder. I think there's a good chance that Genesis 3 and/or Genesis 4 will be in the top 5 as well. Maybe Big House 5 too?
Dude it seems like lately you've been trying to prove yourself, like the top 10 tournaments all hinge upon the fact that they set yourself apart. It's cool to see you care about being number 1 and are talking about it more. This mango goat bs has been going on too long!
I lost to Zgetto in WF in April 2009 and next time was to Leffen at Beast 4 in early 2014 which also was my first tournament back after a year of retirement. So almost 5 years
also known as “top 10 tournaments i’ve attended”
No, because Genesis 1 would probably make that list (If I had to guess) while it obviously wouldn't make this one
Was looking for something to watch on youtube and Armada comes in clutch
ikr
Haha awesome =D
Love your content Armada. most pure melee content on YT. Keep going can't wait to see your next crazy acomplishment
Thanks dude!
We always try to add more different content to the channel and so far we are happy with the growth =)
As someone who was in the crowd at DH Winter, it was electric and the audience exploded when you won. That's a memory I'll keep, just revving up the Ar-Ma-Da chant with a few others until the entire crowd went nuts wsa epic! :D
best melee channel by far, I really admire your intellectual honesty when addressing pretty much every topic
Thanks
Mango's channel is pretty cool too, he's playing random other games half the time but he talks about interesting stuff a lot
You know he's a bad ass when Summit 4 is #10 on his Top 10 Best Tournament Wins list.
Been really awesome over the past year getting to see a much more personal side of you through your channel dude. Please keep posting analysis you're on another level with this stuff.

The Stacks were very high
>first non-god wins a multi-god tournament since leffen in 2014
>armada releases his top 10 tournament wins
Leffen won GOML in 2016 lol
right but he's considered god-level now. i mean like people in exclusively the top echelon, which leffen is indisputably in now
Your content rocks dude, no bs whatsoever just insight. Keep it up!
Keep the uploads up man this is some top tier stuff
I know for a fact Genesis 2 and EVO 2015 are topping the list. Just a hard call on which meant more to him.

Thank you for saving us from hbox #1 rank
Wow dude, you are really getting good at the content side of things. Keep up the good work homie, in and out of the game.

Still a really crazy tournament for me, one of the few times I felt that "okay" with losing
Armada the consistency GOD in melee AND content creation Kreygasm
When the lowest thing on the list is the first four-peat in melee
I think it'd be really cool if you'd link in the description a video of either what you think was the most important set of each tournament, or else the grand finals of each tournament. I'd love to watch a clip of you in each of the tournaments.
Love the story about smack, really great video idea!
I love this. Please do doubles too!!
I love how the only reason you don't have many legendary losers runs is cause you never lose that early in winners lmao
Could you make a top 10 hardest losses video and show how you bounced back from each of them? I feel it'd greatly help the community and let people know you more :)
This is something I also considered to make aswell, should happen within a week or two =)
Solid content, just subbed
Like a lot of people, i like you way more now that i know more about you. This youtube channel was a great idea and the content is super interesting. You are a nice person, keep up the good work, on melee and on youtube !
"Joker, how we gonna get M2K to win another tournament?"
"It's simple. We, kill Armada."
Obviously he can't think about a player winning a 4peat.
Dude, you invented the term.
Should makea youtube serie called Memories or story telling, where you talk about anecdotes from the past. Stories from hanging out with other top players, fromtournament, from your personnal life, from you and your brother, etc.
Gullshunter *brudder
That sounds like a good idea, will try to create some fun content around this =)
Thanks for the suggestion!
Being the best melee player, how do you see yourself getting better than you already are? Is there still room for improvement even for the number 1 player?
I honestly feel that Melee could be pushed much further even to this day.
This is one of the things I love so much about Melee =)
First is probably Genesis 2 or Evo 2015 I'm guessing
Just Ryan got my money on Genesis 2
I loved that set where M2K 3-0ed Armada, but I see why Armada might not like that set
Number 1 will be genesis 2 I think
EDIT: I know armada values that win probably more than any tournament victory since like 2009
why did you say "UGC" that way? lol
Sup Armada, Is Peach vs Hbox truly Impossible? I've always thought that if there was anyone who could do it....it would be you.
If you give me a crazy ammount of tries I would probably pull it off eventually.
Thing is Fox is so much better/easier to win with, I don't care about beating Hbox once, I wanna win as much as I can do.

I wish I had losers runs as early as armada's, in winners semis
Tfw I can't even list top 5 tourneys I've won :( maybe amateur brackets MAYBE
I feel smash summit is less big of a win, simply cuz a ton of ppl get super drunk and don't try their best
Alright I'm gonna make some guesses at your top 5
#1 is obviously Genesis 2 and #2 is obviously Evo 15, but beyond that it gets harder. I think there's a good chance that Genesis 3 and/or Genesis 4 will be in the top 5 as well. Maybe Big House 5 too?
Armada's great, but I would like him so much more if he wasn't so good!
Spoiler: #1 is G2
Dude it seems like lately you've been trying to prove yourself, like the top 10 tournaments all hinge upon the fact that they set yourself apart. It's cool to see you care about being number 1 and are talking about it more. This mango goat bs has been going on too long!
Did you really go 5 years without dropping a single set to a European?
Jesus Christ
I lost to Zgetto in WF in April 2009 and next time was to Leffen at Beast 4 in early 2014 which also was my first tournament back after a year of retirement.
So almost 5 years
Armada That's not really true since you lost to Amsah at Pound 4 in 2010
+Viktor Alsos Very true.
I should have said "in Europe/PAL" which is what I meant.
But thanks for making it clear =)
