Nice! Just picked up a new tip from you. Getting the rope out of the way while cutting the directional face cut with a knot and slack. I love it!! Can’t wait to try it. ❤❤❤
Such a good vid had to re-watch this morning and yeah that saw (the first one the 25.4cc top-handle) is definitely the same one I've got- want an extra 1.5" on your bar? Remove the piece of plastic that the dogs/bucking-spikes screw into, that piece is there JUST for holding the bucking-spikes (which you don't need on this lil saw!) and you lose 1.5" on how far you can put your bar into something! Hope you read this :D
I wanted to share a picture of my saw (my bumper is removed), I had posted it to the facebook I made for 'Cerberus Bonsai' several days ago but I can't figure out how to get a URL from a facebook pic, so I copied it to my imgur here imgur.com/gallery/gAftuNz that's a picture of the saw with the bumper off, there's one thing and it IS IMPORTANT which is that, when you remove the bumper, there's a single, thick cable/hose coming out that's pressed against the body (it's there in my picture), I'm going to set my saw on its rear so I can put a big drop of epoxy over it so it is extra protected, but its natural bend/placement is pressed right against the body so it's not like it's flopping around when you remove the bumper, I've yet to do any protection on mine and have brought it into a few canopies since removing the bumper, am just careful not to smash the body of the saw which I wouldn't do anyways ;)
Great job at letting them run, it looks like a bee hive with all those groundsmen. I wish I could get that much help when Im in the tree :) Looks like you have great gear too.
Oh man.Giorgio Fiori is master level. I am just a junior. thanks your support. I am not always do this job but I like. We do small pruning jobs more. Hoping we can meet one day.

You are my idol jason 👍💪 im from the philippines and i work in a electric company. I salute your safety practices..im hoping and praying that you could help me or give some advice in the future in our way of working here in ph. Godbless 😇

Jason Ma the humboldt is essentially an upside down conventional cut and best for the topping the tree, it allows the hinge to break at a similar spot, but the piece drops down instead of out. And in my opinion it’s easier to cut up there, you use the top of the bar for both cuts. I’ve been wanting to make a video on this for some time.
AWESOME!! I usually dislike the emotive music paired with cutting like this but this video has me wanting to go do some work on my Oak out back right now!! And what brand is that chainsaw called, the top-handled one? It looks IDENTICAL to my 25.4cc/10" "Scheppach" I got on ebay :D (have been using that saw for 6mo w/o issue, thing is solid!!)
I am a Korean who has a landscaping in Japan. The name of the brand I use is ツヨロン(Zyoron)In Japan, it is a famous brand, but your Spike looks especially cool. It looks light and strong.

That's one skinny a$$ tree. Love my Huskys but I am still running a 455e with a 14 bar for limbing. They really should have a smaller over hand series like Echo or Stihl or like some of the electrics that are being introduced. A Makita brushless looks promising and I wouldn't mind trying out on a tree that size.
Not trying to be mean, but he doesn't need to make notches, cut so far into the front than come into the back step up a few inches back cut in so far stop, it will break off, plus his notches don't have to be that deep, good job anyways!!!

Just curious, is there a specific reason why you don’t use the humboldt cut for topping? Seems like a perfectly reasonable time to use it I’d say.
May I ask whats the different between humboldt and conventional cut on top?
Jason Ma the humboldt is essentially an upside down conventional cut and best for the topping the tree, it allows the hinge to break at a similar spot, but the piece drops down instead of out. And in my opinion it’s easier to cut up there, you use the top of the bar for both cuts. I’ve been wanting to make a video on this for some time.
looking forward your video
doesnt that usually cause the log to flip or create more shock load rather that just pulling over?
The Humbolt cut is used when timber is to be kept for the mill ! Less waste ! Just flush off the cut !!
why didnt make stepcuts ??
