While I picked up this deck for all the hype around K'rrik, I'm really glad (Miss) Anje has stood the test of time. So much fun to play, making a mechanic otherwise overlooked in commander really fun and genuinely competitive!

Yeah this is what I loved about Commander Quarters earlier videos. Easy UI for Card viewing, quick explanation of the combos, FAST talking and bad puns. I also like the premise of using the EDHrec Average Deck. There are all the staples already included which do not need to be explained. Nice format.

I like how having such a high madness creature count essentially decreases your deck size, letting you find what you need the sooner you start utilizing your commander. I love this build!

3:45-4:30 is truly excellent. I really like how you articulated CDH and why you decided to not use the infinite combo and even recommended those interested seek it out. My only criticism would be to provide a recommendation on where to go. But that's being picky and digging deep. As always great job on the deck.

I bought the precon and made a Kr’rik deck, but the Anje deck always felt underpowered and I didn’t want it to be a glass cannon Worldgorger combo deck because my pod runs too much instant speed removal and once they know how the combo works they’ll just hold up mana to make sure I get disrupted. Not fun for anyone at the table… Living Death, Twilights Call and even a Rise of the Dark realms are a really fun way to win with this deck, and if you can simultaneously drain your opponents from discard and wheel effects then if they exile your graveyard you still have a shot!

Only one recommendation: Library of Leng. If I understand well, that's a really easy way to go discard infinitely the same card, allowing you to get that discard trigger infinitely.

While I am a combo player at heart, I think this might be more fun, I'll have the WGD combo pieces on the side if I switch the deck over to cEDH. to add living death was interesting, I was sure you would have added rise of the dark realms, that way you get everyone's creatures :) but maybe you can add that too.
Pretty cool. Moving away from the combo is pretty obvious because the high power combo deck is probably already pretty solved by the high power community so doing a lower powered upgrade is cool. I wonder if Surly Badgersaur is worth a look. It would probably get pretty big with all the creatures you're trying to discard and can be decent removal with the fight ability when discarding any non-creatures. The land->treasure ability probably won't happen as often but it can be a little bit of extra mana.

I play Anje with eldrazi and tergrid synergies instead of world gorger combo. It can be brutal for a table to deal with pathrazers and crushers on t4 but most of my time I’m just end of turn madness cycling and digging for oppression and tergrid. Konrad and a mind crank seem like good adds to my list.
Question concerning Syr Konrad. Since madness cards discard into exile, won't they not trigger him unless you choose not to cast them for their madness cost? I realize a good chunk of the madness cards are just there to fuel the draw engine; I just want to confirm how the cards would interact.
So when you Discard a card with MADNESS, it's discarded into exile and you can choose to pay for the madness cost, if you don't the card ends up in the grave upon resolution. So if you Discard a MADNESS card, it gets discarded into exile and if the MADNESS cost isn't payed for it'll end up in the GY
Late to the game, but how is Konrad good if we're going with a madness strategy? Madness throws them to exile, not bin, so he doesn't trigger unless we're not paying the madness--which then defeats the purpose of the madness theme.

Probably also worth noting that World-Gorger is super, super fragile and can kinda knock you out of the game if your opponents know what they’re doing.
i would recommend Library of Leng. it combos with Glint-Horn Buccaneer and Brallin even if you don't play the worldgorger combo, everyone expects you to.
Unfortunately, Library of Leng only works when effects cause you to discard cards, and does not work when discarding a card is part of the cost to activate an effect.
Kinda a slow boring deck but you explain the deck well and are a great help for deck ideas. I'm not a cedh player but this deck would lose to most precons.
Boo! You should NOT cut Nightmare Unmaking. Play it a few times and see how often it truly whiffs (my guess? zero). It's one of the most underrated cards of all time!

Isn't Konrad an anti synergy with Maddness as spells get cast from exile, or is he just there for when we discard a creature but don't cast it

Solid idea not to include worldgorger combo. It also gives you a lot more wiggle room to add cool stuff because worldgorger is almost $15
leyline of the void, living death , revolutionist and a decent sac outlet usually is enough to make them all quit

You can put phyresis or other infect tech in this deck to make the bralin kills much faster
