I started watching your videos since I was in nursing school. Now more than two years after I passed my NCLEX, I am still watching your videos. I feel that every time I watch, I always learn something new, reflecting it back to my practice and making me a better nurse. I truely appreciate your videos!
Hi Sarah! I've been listening to your videos and it really helped me understand and remember concepts in nursing. Yesterday I took my NCLEX (after failing the first time)it stopped at 75 questions. I didn't check if I passed or failed because my Board already emailed me my license. I am now an RN!
I'm a first responder, and I find your videos extremely helpful with my understanding what is actually happening with my patients. From an intervention standpoint for anaphylaxis, oftentimes there is little I can do short of airway management, O2, vitals, and patient positioning. But, it's reassuring to know what is actually happening, so if I'm first on scene, I can start doing something!
Hi Sarah, I never comment but I wanted to thank you because I just finished nursing school in December and passed the Nclex on Feb 12th. I have used your videos as a tool from the very beginning right up to taking my Nclex. Thank you so much!
Excellent presentation !!! Thank you for your professional commitment and delivering essential steps in ACT FAST !!! The most important thing the goal of our management. Just underline causes ,challenges and solutions something we should apply in suitable way. Even, I am at public professional your presentation draw me to the clinical !
Thanks for helping me pass my schools exit exam I take my NCLEX PN sat @8am in CT so you know my states test is very difficult lol but at least I can bring my LPN to any state without having to take another test
very informative and well explained! this is the key to improving my ability to remember and recalling from my nursing review days! i’m glad i found this channel! 🥰
This is so timely 😊 I'm gonna be conducting a workshop in a few hours regarding allergic reaction leading to anaphylactic shock. This is just amazing -- a wrap up of my readings. Thank you so much!
Recently had lips and jaw area swell out of nowhere. Had previous (worse) reaction 1 mo ago, went to ER and treated with Epi, Benadryl, and Solumedrol. Airway was never compromised. This last time I had Epi pen on hand and just waited it out which cleared up within 48 hours. Both episodes were slow onset (a few hours) Wish I knew what is really going on or what might be triggering.
I would not be able to survive nursing school without your information. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!! As a video idea, what about Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and Leukemia. I appreciate you more than you know!
I had anaphylactic shock before due to a fire ant bite. I did not had medication nor was I rush to the hospital. My family was not health conscious and did not know my reaction was severe. I knew in me something was so wrong so I prayed to ask for forgiveness, like unconsciously, I knew I was in great danger. I had diarrhea and could hardly breath. After a few moments. I got blind and called for help. That was the last thing I knew. I died. Suddenly, I was in another dimension with no time. I heard someone said Jesus and went back to life again. When I woke up, I was already in a room. I was okay and the severe rashes subsided in a few hours.
I just wanna know how long this is gonna last. I had an anaphylactic episode last week & I’m still needing to take Benadryl constantly even though I’ve stopped taking the antibiotic I was allergic to last week 😭
i get shortness of breath, dizziness (fainting) after eating, raw vegetables like carrot and cucumber, i don't get hives and other symptoms but i get sometimes choking sensation with weird fainting. Is this anaphylaxis?
I hate when I work out my anaphylactic shock is triggered I get hives everything swells and etc feels like I’m about to die if that Benadryl or epi pen is not around my eyes were sunk in I looked weird face blue GOD HELP
For me it was my breast implants unfortunately unfortunately it's led to loss of motor cortex functions and a couple strokes some somehow I should already die but I bought some years
I mam I'm Amit here I'm registered nurse in India and I'm doing my BSc. Nursing (post basic) after this degree course how I can apply in abroads hospital. Please give a suitable way.

well explained
thaaank you so much sister!!!
Thanks a lot =)
I got this after the janssen shot. Never had it before. Will it effect the efficacy?
thanks
you may have mastosytosis. Lot of people have and dont know it see a allergist and have him sent you to a hematologist with triptase test
The patient might have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) vs mastocytosis.
This is why I tell people in the hospital that I have a latex allergy and can go into Anaphylactic shock if it touches me.
I suffer from that too
Do you carry an Epi-Pen?!?
You should carry an allergy card with you! Either on your phone or wallet should the worst happen and you're in the hospital unconscious.
i get shortness of breath, dizziness (fainting) after eating, raw vegetables like carrot and cucumber, i don't get hives and other symptoms but i get sometimes choking sensation with weird fainting. Is this anaphylaxis?
I definitely think exercise causes anaphylaxis for me
We love you!
I have had 5 anaphylactic reactions and I’m only 6
I'm only watching because I'm trying to figure out if I'm having anaphylaxis symptoms.
hello, would you give the patient something like Lasix to remove extra fluid??
I don't think remember we have to give large fluids. We have poor perfusion
doing Nightingale's work ugh we have no choice but to stan
I hate when I work out my anaphylactic shock is triggered I get hives everything swells and etc feels like I’m about to die if that Benadryl or epi pen is not around my eyes were sunk in I looked weird face blue GOD HELP
So let's get started.
For me it was my breast implants unfortunately unfortunately it's led to loss of motor cortex functions and a couple strokes some somehow I should already die but I bought some years
Can you get a allergic reaction to wasp stings?
Yes, you can.
Heck yes!
Went through this after a Pfizer shot. Well done!😀
