Short answer takeaway : I’m suspecting that Jake is a relapsed drug addict, with a Peter Pan complex (highlighted by a more updated boy-ish appearance), with his one of his drugs of choice being “love”, especially if no tangible substances are revealed. But first:
Omg why do I apparently love having this argument with you? How many times has this been now? Lol. I swear I’m not trolling you.
Anyway. Fully disagree. Yes, he is legitimately in love with him over how Jake helped him to bring out part of his identity that Tom has traumatized himself into suppressing: his sexuality. While this sounds confusing as Tom has not hidden the fact he is gay, I think there is deeper to Tom being ashamed of “scars”: he may be “out”, but instead of being proud, like you can describe Jake, Tom is ashamed of that part of him until he met Jake. Tom lowering his hood and removing his mask was to symbolize Tom truly coming out as a gay man on his own terms. (In terms of why Tom is traumatized to suppress his sexuality and in turn, his identity, beta and remake come to mind for different reasons. From beta, Tom’s backstory hasn’t been fully told. With the remake, I’m starting to suspect Jensen (51) and Tom (27) have a different dynamic, estranged father and son, in this remake that explains why Jensen has mostly ignored Tom (outside of getting him fired to prevent his son following in his father’s footsteps).
However, Tom breaking up with Jake was the right thing to do in order for Tom to give Jake a direct consequence for his actions. Prior to that, Tom has been the one paying for Jake’s actions, like Jake getting him fired, and Tom wasting his totem on him in light of Jake , while keeping his mouth shut about voting for Tom, being the swing vote that swung Tom out of the game. While Tom is still in love with Jake, what is Tom supposed without getting even more screwed over? Pity enables Jake to not change, which Tom doesn’t fall for that at least. When Tom refused to cater to Jake’s pity for getting him fired, Jake, albeit via confessional, started to blame himself. However, Jake is blaming Ellie for his breakup when Tom has emphasized the core reason of Jake breaking his word.
Also, I have described Ellie triggering Jake into relapse, but I recently remember that love, legitimately and even clinically, can be described as a drug and addiction that people actually do go to rehab for.
If I’m right about the song in episode 11 trailer is actually coded to be about Tom and maybe Gabby, and how the scorpion is supposed both reference Tom from beta (Mortal Kombat and Tom original image of himself because of his facial scars) and a creative re-creation of Tom being “mutated” into a toxic monster (with Tom, and maybe Gabby, actually controlling the scorpion), this challenge is having Jake and everyone else deal with Tom’s and maybe Gabby’s clear anger management issues. However, I can’t exactly blame them for terrorizing everyone else if this turns out to be true. I actually hoping that is correct and not just that indicating Tom and maybe Gabby, like Karol as the Night Butcher from season 2, win the challenge (Remember what happen to Karol that episode)

@@Aices-j6p Ellie should not have done that; her last confessional in the episode has her regret that by both means and ends. However, Tom’s bigger issues, as he has stressed to others and him, with Jake are the following:
- Jake seems to never learn.
- Jake broke his word to him, which their first fallout started with Jake is catching Tom in a lie.
-Jake is not taking accountability for his actions in order for him to change
While Tom hasn’t said this, you can argue that Jake (24) acts and behaves younger than Fiore. Thus, Jake needs to grow up and act like a man since Tom is clearly not interested, regardless of the actual age, in dating a little boy.
So all this so ellie can win the million By ruin tom and jake's relationship
@@Aices-j6p Ellie knew she had to pay a price. If she was just breaking up a couple that met on reality tv, that is one thing, but a combination of Fiore destroying her integrity beyond game and if I’m right anout about Jake struggling through addiction (love addiction in this case), Ellie really screwed up beyond game as she triggered someone, which she addressed her concerns to Tom about Jake in the episode prior.

This episode is by far one of the most craziest episodes yet.
When I first saw it I could not believe how it all played out.
I also started to laugh quite a bit when Tom got a bit angry during the elimination ceremony at 46:41 of this video. This episode also had quite a bit of funny moments here and there and it was just amazing.
This interview video was awesome hilarious and awesome and I love it so much.
It was awesome seeing Genesis again in this video. You,Genesis and Jayce did an amazing job with this video and it was also a video that really made me laugh.
You and the others also did an amazing job with this episode of Disventure Camp and I cannot wait to see how the remaining episodes play out.
Also,it’s sad to see Tom go because he was one of my favorites in the season,but he made it to the final six and I’m happy he got this far.
So excited to see the remaining episodes of this season of Disventure Camp.

Actually, I have new perspective on the boys breaking up. I think the boys breaking up is to foreshadow the girlfriends are next. Ellie knew she was paying a price by siding with Alec and Fiore this round, but I think the true cost is her own relationship.
Disclaimer: I’m not a patreon for financial reasons; so this is my thoughts and speculation.
For someone who has watched beta, having someone repeated their beta placement seemed very off and not add up since this season is supposed to have a different order. On one hand, Disventure Camp has 2 more campers than beta. Thus, you could technically have someone repeat their rank and retain the elimination order. However, some alarm bells really go off with that.
For starters, elimination order, on the vast majority most reality shows (including animated, that season 2 follows), is prioritize by someone’s highest rank/placement if when they were on the game. It only lowers if someone makes re-entry above another’s rank. Also, would that technicality being only applies to just one person so far let alone this late into the season? If you haven’t guessed, I’m talking about Tom. In beta, he eliminated himself in 6th place and got re-eliminated 6th in the remake. As mentioned, that seems very off to me on this happening for the first time. Unless that is the point.
Then, I realized a few things about that might be no accident, specifically Tom being eliminated in episode 10 in particular. The beta version lasted 10 episodes as well as, and the game, while it had a subplot, was played very straight within the show’s context. Thus, I think the game was to be played mostly straight for the first 10 episodes. By mostly straight, like Tom’s facade of his skin sensitivity, has some inconsistencies and other cracks to indicate something else is going on. For example, why was another immunity totem re-introduced this late, and why did Tom have to be the one find it? It is almost like someone on the production end knows his M.O. Speaking of Jensen., I think episode 5 was bit of a clue (beta reference) that Jensen may know Tom more personally than what he is letting on to Derek and Trevor. Since episode 8, I’m noticed how weird how production has largely left someone like Tom mostly alone, outside of getting him fired (which may be part of that dynamic I mentioned). Also, Gabby’s expression at the motel in subplot has me believe that something is up with that motel, and they don’t want a certain ex-spy to find out about despite his elimination this past round. For those reasons, I’m convinced this game is rigged and a hoax based on whatever Gabby saw a the motel. More importantly, production is clearly using Tom and Gabby for some other ulterior motives. As mentioned, the first 10 episodes are supposed to be mostly played straight (with some cracks forming) with Tom’s original blindside being the last of the legitimate gameplay.
Starting with episode 11, the charade of the game begins to drop to reveal what production is really up to and someone is not repeating their rank for much longer. That said, both beta and season 2 had their finals over 2 episodes. So, theory, the next challenge may be the semi-final round.
Tom’s elimination was painful to watch.

Dumb question: are we supposed to shipping Tom and Gabby together in the next episode. In addition to the Final 5 in the mine, it looks their mutated love child is also partaking in the challenge. For that reason lets this ship and toxic love child, in the form a giant scorpion, Tobby.

@@katie15732 it was to be a little humorous, especially since people noted the scorpion was referencing Mortal Kombat, a nickname Jensen gave Tom in beta. Also, ships don’t have to have to romantic; it can be of friendship, enemies, etc?

If people are right about the bloody trash bags being dead animals which may or may not imitate dead bodies of the human kind, all eliminated contestants do return to either cheer or helped the finalist they are supporting. So, in theory, we will see Drew.

@@ripperFromTotaldramaIsHot also, here is my opinion on Drew: he is a production plant to spy on the spy. Tom wasn’t fooling production at all with his skin sensitivity. Thus, they casted Drew to keep notes and other tabs on Tom. When Drew could, like with Gabby in episode 3, he would warn others about Tom, especially when he sneaks out for work, to have everyone keep a close eye on, including being instructed to ally with Tom to make sure he stays in the game as well.
All of this was a mistake It's all fiore Alex and ellie fault there one who caused this If Tom and Jake can just talk But tom just walk away
Like how Jake had more opportunities to keep his word to Tom but opted to relapse into go to his source of healing.
I hate to admit it, but Tom's elimination in this feels more clumsy than it did in Adventure Camp. I'd have to rewatch both to articulate it precisely, but I think the scheme was better in the original than this revamped version.
