02:10 Rimmer trying to convince Lister and the audience that he is more intelligent than he actually is (as usual), then realizing that he's only fooling himself (a realisation that he too often overlooks).
He narrated one of the audio books and it's the best one by far. He does impressions of each character and it's hard to remember it's just him. Sounds exactly like them all
@atheist101 He did a couple of them - Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers and Better Than Life, if I remember correctly. And you're right- he was fantastic doing the whole cast. Loved him doing Holly vs Talkie Toaster 😂
One of the greatest shows ever made and also showing the greatest bloopers of all time. Excellent plots, characters, craft, truly a show they was one of a kind. You would be a total smeghead if you disliked it.
@@JackSmith-kp2vs diabolical? Not at all, none of the seasons are bad persay, it's just when you go from a masterpiece (1-6) to quite good (7) to okay I guess (8) it seems like its gone to shit, I mean, the quality went way up again in 10, 11 and 12 anyway so it doesn't matter too much
Red dwarf what a classic show for each day classic British comedy I just love the interaction between Lister, Rimmer and Hall and cat, this show was hilarious until they went to season 2 yeah I couldn't didn't find it funny after two I didn't even know they made it to a 4th season till years later the prime red dwarf is the first season episodes. I have my two favorite episodes are Queeg and Stasis leak.
Not sure what you're talking about. They still do this stuff today. Unlike the 1970's, when you could freely use the N word in comedy, not much has changed or become a taboo since the 1990's.
@@AstrosElectronicsLab that word is still used all over comedy and media in general only thing that changed was who can and can't say it, you should check out more black comedians Using it in comedy was not the problem And plenty of white comedians have used it on stage with no backlash whatsoever
@@AstrosElectronicsLab George carlin, lenny Bruce, Louis ck, Frank skinner, Ricky Gervais, Tim Allen, eddie izzard... the list goes on and on of white comedians that have used the word on stage ✌️
The bloopers were shot in front of the same live audience as the edited broadcasts why wouldnt there be laughter? Every fan knows they never used canned laughter even during the outside stuff the laughter is from the audience recordings during showing before broadcasting ✌️
The in universe story. Is after kryten borrowed Lister's bike. He went off cruised around some asteroids and accidentally crashed into one. After a few days Lister wondered where he and the bike were. So he followed the tracker on the bike found the remains and Rebuilt the service mechanoid himself. Of course, lister being self taught despite being slightly a bit of a savant for Mechanical advanced engineering. Couldn't get it completely the same as the original. Giving us the kryten that we know today.
They shot in front of a live studio audience in the early series - It's not a laugh track. This is why Craig had to explain the knocking sound to the crowd who laughed at the "rock" noise
Chris Barrie is such a talented mimic ❤
One of the best on Spitting Image! Amongst others of course!
True that
1:10 The definition of a working prop is one Craig Charles hadn't touched.....
10:15 for me.. the line, the uncontrollable laughter from Craig Charles. You just can't but help to snigger too
Best TV series in the history of English telly
YES! Couldn't agree more!
Ok, but Chris Barrie's impressions were spot on!

Rimmer gains blooper-related self awareness
People forget that Chris Barrie was in spitting image prior to this. Bloody good an impressions.

15:09 "They were gonna sort that in the dub!" and young Rimmer's giggle at 17:32 are gold.
Starbug had a lot more worse exits than they showed 😂😂
To be fair it was only Series 1-4, otherwise we'd be here all day with Starbug crashes!

@The wise gamer
Series 1-6 you mean. Series 7 onwards was diabolical

Remember just how delicate practical effects can be.
early seasons Kryten looks like a bald Jimmy Carr
Nice to see some out-takes that isn't Bottom for once.
I wish these were uncensored
Tbf they do still want to make money from the video
Just what I needed!
0:35 LOL
Lol. I can imagine it is pretty hard to look down the barrel of a camera and remember everything you had to say. They didn't use auto-cue.
Looks like they had fun
why is it that bloopers are always funny
WHAT YA DOIN TO ME LINE GUY?!??!?!
We’ll never see the likes of these times again.
The only sitcom back then worth watching.
Ik it’s the bloopers, but I’ve forgotten how good this show was
13:00 I wanted to hear the rest of the rant or joke
He married my braces just broke ? 😂
Yeah. She's a distant cousin of "my underpants elastic went". That line was funny.

Why did cryton change accents?
They changed actors
Ironically enough I think it got explained in the opening episodes
@paulschauer6273 yeye he drove into an asteroid belt iirc
They are both English ofc, Robert Llewellyn I think decided to for a Canadian accent when he played kryten.

The laugh track removes all entertainment value from these bloopers tbh
