A Brompton is made for its fold, and not for riding, and mine, what's left from my original bike, is now below 9 kilos lifted weight, though still with mudguards, though an elderly model 2019. I definitely don't need a LARGER and HEAVIER bike, which I can't even hide as folded in my car's luggage compartment, from its new size! And I had an electric, folding Makita, which also filled and specially - weighed a lot. I have also sold it again! Finn. Denmark
Yes, Julian, welcome back- we've been here all the time, waiting for you! Don't leave it so long till the next one- as you know, we'll listen to any old rubbish you spout!
I recognize the orange Brommie from the London showroom where I visited today. They didn’t have the honey Brooks saddle I’d wanted. Staff sent me to Condor and I’m a happy tourist. Hello from a Pennsylvania fan who’s also 68
Exactly! The size and the weight negates the reason I bought a Brompton in the first place. Even an original sized Brompton is hard to carry without banging into your ankles if you're shorter. It weighs as much as an electric C-line without being electric! Yes, it rides nicely, but so does my full sized hybrid. 😂
Nice one Julian. Short but nevertheless.. it was sweet. We will know they have finally listened when the "J-H" Line Bromptons come out! If you get bored waiting for that, then maybe 10 reasons not to by an ATB (the newest marketing gimmick) could whet your appetite and ours.
Watched the other 126 vids before yours - all rubbish by comparison. An unboxing without a box, a bike or even a hat - what a feat, what a man. Nice to see you back. Quite fancy a G, sod the weight, nothing (another) hernia repair can't put right.
“Mid-career Dawn French” 🤣🤣🤣
Designer stubble, DMs, and a new Brompton video. Christ on a bike!
Cheers👍🏼
Don't worry Jules, just wait a while and you will be able to buy the Ti version when they bring it out.

Lovely to see you back… and bearded.
Nice to see this review of the BGL, from the Clarkson of the cycling world.😄

The weight?
What planet are the Brompton R&D team on!!!
Blimey, it's -that old fart- the honourable gentleman Hutchings back again - good to see you back Julian! 👍
😂 Thanks Julian.
