She didn't pay the light bill this month
She missed a few times on this album I cannot lie. But it’s almost expected for someone as creative as her. I didn’t expect how vulnerable and raw some of this album ended up being. Numb, Imaginary Friends, and Two Night cut deep af while retaining an ear worm quality. Not many people can pull that off.
It was always going to be hard to top Whack World. It’s one of the strongest artistic statements I’ve ever heard. She also probably took a bit too long to drop this album. Though it’s definitely a worthy follow-up, and I really hope she continues creating. One of the most creative voices we have in music I think
Thanks for the reminder. I was anticipating this release and at the time it underwhelmed me compared to Whack World and her EP series. I'll have to give it another listen.
Imaginary Friends has been stuck on my mind since the first listen. She really set the bar pretty high with Whack World and her EPs series. However, she's so creative and intricate in her craft, so the next record is gonna be pure heat for sure!
That was the standout song for me, only one I've gone back to so far

I was definitely a little underwhelmed by this on first listen but it's had a lot more staying power than I expected. All the best qualities of Whack World are still here, it just took a moment to adjust to the shock of the much darker tone
Her songs r always so short
Shower Song is great…ironic enough, I never listened to it in the shower tho
