@iVolkswagen if you dont use your change then yes you will end up with more than $134 if you buy multiple thigns throughout the day...but if you use this once to pay for something the next tiem you break a dollar your likely to be able to fit your new change in the empty slots..
It does hold the Canadian quarters, nickles, dimes, and pennies. I am American but go to Canada often for my job and carry two in different colors and pockets- one for Canadian and one for American coins.
Hey Jeff...nice product! I usually keep my change in a little change purse but this little gadget seems pretty cool. I hate my change rolling around in my pocket. Ordered 2 blk and smoke...thanks for the 411.
Jeff: the coin changer prevents all the change rattling around in your pocket scratching your other EDC stuff. So for that alone it is better than pulling out a fistful of change. You should also mention that the action is very smooth - it is not cheaply made. I don't know how Charlie makes money on these because there is a lot of value of the price.
@stun279 the ijdea iks you leave the house with this filled, if you need to pay for somethgin you use the change in the unit so you dont get chamge back, if you use a solid dollar you will never gte 5 pennies back you woudl; get one nickle you know, but yeah if you buy a few thigns during the day its possible you have extra if you dotn work it out right...
I just got two of these (one for my friend.) and in the first night of having it I used it three times. Instead of getting 96 cents of loose change back, I gave 4 pennies and hurried the process up (she was taking forever.) my friend was like "wtf, that thing is neat." So I tossed the other one at him haha. Very cool gadget. Speeds up time at the register, stops loose change jingling, and the accumulation of a lot of change. Great video Cutlery!
Just got two of these, loaded them up, and can't wait to use them. Currently, with the coin shortage, many merchant are asking if you want your change back. Now, maybe i'll ask them if THEY want the change!
jeff theres acually versions of these in the uk and ireland there not the same but very similar ive seen them quite a lot in the dollar stores /pound shops in ireland and uk
Looks like it's made well. But what if you made a purchase of $5.80 and then a second purchase for $6.55? You might not know if you have enough change to pay with change. It would be great if there was someway to know exactly how much change is left in the holder.
i got one just like this except its fully metal, patented 1891 and its called a ready change the only thing different is its thicker, able to hold more coins but has two nickel slots instead of a penny slot, i cant determine when it was made though
They put something similar in a lot of cars. Those come in handy. I'd say you'd prob have to wear cargo pants or carry a bag of some sort and use cash a lot for this to be a practical day to day item. Little big for a front pocket IMO, at least with all the other crap I carry. Especially considering I almost always use a debit card, too, except for my "emergency" cash. Good to keep in your car or bag just in case though.
@iVolkswagen I have never seen these anywhere and I get tons of catalogs, I work with the mail, lol I look through everything, these cna be run over by a car and all that too, possible destruction tests in the future...but if its not somethgin you woudl use dont buy it, I have been carrying it everyday and enjoying it...
Great idea! I just ordered a few. Thanks. I like the USA made part best! On the site it shows that when laid flat on the table that it is not as thick as a dime standing on its edge, which means its not as thick as I imagined it to be, which is a good thing for the pocket.
@funky3ddy you 're right, i got one which is different and holds far more coins and it just gathering dust at my office. Its easier to keep your change in your pocket.
I've got a similar, larger device in the car. But I don't think it's worth the extra weight to carry one of these. The thing is that I'd forget to refill it. Still, a good product that will be useful for certain people.
If it were able to hold 4 quarters instead of 3, I would actually consider buying that. For me, it just doesn't quite hold enough change in compact enough form for me to bother. Good video though.
@foxmoto17 Well, to be fair, it might feel a bit safer when you have one and two Euro coins. A 2 Euro coin is about 2.76 in USD. So they have coins that are worth more.
i really like it. am thinking of picking one up for me and maybe a few more for my family great videos like always keep them up. o and if you can make zippo videos on like where are great places to buy them and maybe like books to read on zippo
@dannoluvzurmom lmao yeah I have seen the show too, but those peopel cant throw stuff away, I can and do all the time, I colct lots of stuff but am constantly getting rid of old stuff while I get new stuff...
Nice little thing you got there, if theres anything i hate its running around with change in my pockets. Doubt you will find anything here in Norway, but theres always the option to use a wallet. Nice video as always. Best regards, Daniel
@Whisper6911 -- Here in America, wallets don't double as a coinpurse. We have a cavity for paper notes (sometimes two), slots for credit cards (oh how we love those things) and a portrait slot for the all important drivers license, as well as various nooks and crannies. Me? I'd prefer not to have a giant lump on my backside that is guaranteed to contribute to back problems later in life. In fact, being the silly 'magpie' of an American that I am, I actually carry two wallets.
@Whisper6911 Compact as carrying loose change may be, it is a very inelegant solution to having change readily available for spending. Do you throw all of your clean clothes into a pile on your bedroom floor? Do you keep all your knives and forks in a single, unorganized drawer? I would sure hope not... and yet, isn't that the exact same principle at work here?
I just bought one in every color and a teal one with the keychain attachment. $52 for a lot of awesome stuff. I can have a different colored one for everyday or every mood. Love the review. I just found out about it 8 years late.
I want one. And for the price you can't beat it. Completely off subject, but I just noticed you have little hands. Those quarters look huge in you hands. Anyway great review thanks.
@Skyline770 Timmies.......Second best thing about Canada lol. The town we lived in didn't have a Timmies :( we had to go 20 or so minutes either way(lived in N. Ontario, in a town right off Highway 11), only had a coffee time :(
Sales tax fills my pockets with unwanted change. $3.00 price is $3.21; $1.99 is 2.13; $4.00 is $4.28. Three small cash transactions and I've got $2.38 in coins rattling around in my pocket. Maybe I'll give Chawley a try.
Hm, that's just pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters right? Canadian change would also work in that! Too bad I only carry around loonies ($1 piece) and toonies ($2 piece) with me. The rest are bills. The small change that would fit in there all goes into a jar that I'll cash out when it's full. I'm not even a quarter way there and I have around $22 in there.
good vid but geez that thing sure would take up so much more space in your pocket. it doesnt take long to count change and i'd rather carry all my change on me than what that little thing could hold
The reason they are only avalable in the us is becouse of coins are diffrent in other countrys but if you want one ebay will probly have it ... Also i have seen a bunch of these things ... Well not the same but does the same thing and looks the same and i have evin seen one with six for canada (dollar two dollars pennys quarters dimes and nickles) and these would work with canadian coins to.
@nesbitt615 Are you sure because I went to Pluto last week... man, it took me almost 3 hours on my hyper rocket, I asked one of the fluzeeys and they said that they were at Pandora but didn't see them there.... weird... what part of Pandora were you on? Have you tried the juju bees?
@boonie1994 It's his channel for any kind of video he wants to make. If you only want knife reviews, then just don't watch these vids. It's not hard. Some of us are actually interested.
I can't believe you found out how to talk about this for over 13 minutes. More importantly, I can't believe I spent over 13 minutes watching you explain a coin organizer. LOL. I love ur vids but this one tops the "Captain Obvious" charts to date! ;) (keep the vids coming)
Thanks!!!!! In for two! Black and smoke.
@iVolkswagen if you dont use your change then yes you will end up with more than $134 if you buy multiple thigns throughout the day...but if you use this once to pay for something the next tiem you break a dollar your likely to be able to fit your new change in the empty slots..
This is it...after thirteen years, including making my own Altoids-tin coin organizer, I decided this fits into my current EDC and ordered one!
neat little thing...iv seen this in car...but this?? lol...how much can it hold?
Interesting piece of kit!
I'm thinking that would look neat with a County Comm tether cord lanyard and one of your County Comm stainless steel skulls . . .
It does hold the Canadian quarters, nickles, dimes, and pennies. I am American but go to Canada often for my job and carry two in different colors and pockets- one for Canadian and one for American coins.

@suza1103 most products dont have a serial number on it...but your right if there is a number it woudl be different, lol...
I just got two of these (one for my friend.) and in the first night of having it I used it three times. Holy Cow... they make those right down the road from me... cool! I still think a money clip on the back of it would make it even better!
Still using the ol' Chawley here and there Jeff?
11 years later and I just bought one on the same website
cool product, I am so bad with change.thanks.
great review Jeff, keep up the good work man
thanks curtleylover! i just ordered a blue black smoke and green! thank you
If they make one that holds 4 quarters instead of 3, I'll buy it. These little things are a great idea.
jeff theres acually versions of these in the uk and ireland there not the same but very similar ive seen them quite a lot in the dollar stores /pound shops in ireland and uk
You always find the trivial products to review. And it never ceases to amaze me. Great videos, keep it up bud.

Nice, I was going to make a video on this and another coin organizer but since you made one don't need to:)
Got mine #15,409

they are now 5.95 and 3.05 shipping
Calvin Ates and still awesome!
Close to Canadian, we have 25c though
Great idea! I just ordered a few. Thanks. I like the USA made part best! On the site it shows that when laid flat on the table that it is not as thick as a dime standing on its edge, which means its not as thick as I imagined it to be, which is a good thing for the pocket.

on the website they called your advertisement a "problem"
If it were able to hold 4 quarters instead of 3, I would actually consider buying that. For me, it just doesn't quite hold enough change in compact enough form for me to bother. Good video though.
I love my Chawly Changer . I use it everyday...
These things where very popular here when the euro came out.
@bigusmcWW2
He mentioned that he was giving some for gifts, and that he wanted to stock up in case they stop selling them.
definitely gonna pick one up
@stasieczekk yea we have those too but we don't put CHANGE in them
Cool product man! I wish they had it in euro's...
give em out as gifts? just at random? youre such a nice guy jeff
the smoke is very nice looking
reminds me of the change holder in my car
@blahk1234454 I might be able to do that...
@foxmoto17 Well, to be fair, it might feel a bit safer when you have one and two Euro coins. A 2 Euro coin is about 2.76 in USD. So they have coins that are worth more.
only you jeff could make a vid about a 5 dollar change dispencer 13 min long! hahaha i still loved it!
just ordered one
That is nice. I wish it would hold a little more change though. Have you found that to be a problem?
So they wouldnt ship to canada?
I like your knife reviews, and this is cheap and I think I'll pick it up, thanks cutlerylover!
@Nurple17 Yes, my wallet has a coin purse. Until some people answered to my comment here I didn't know that there were wallets without coin purses.
you should have a contest for a couple
it'sbeen done before, i'm in England, and i have a few of these kicking around
personally i still prefer the good ol' pocket full of pennies
@boonie1994 and I do knives reviews, but thats not all I do
I'm having the same problem. I'm having to copy & paste the blank message to a WORD.doc for the message to show up. I think it's a UA-cam Problem.
i really like it. am thinking of picking one up for me and maybe a few more for my family great videos like always keep them up. o and if you can make zippo videos on like where are great places to buy them and maybe like books to read on zippo
@dannoluvzurmom lmao yeah I have seen the show too, but those peopel cant throw stuff away, I can and do all the time, I colct lots of stuff but am constantly getting rid of old stuff while I get new stuff...
i like the sound. it's a satisfying click when u take out coins
this chawly thing can only fit 5-6 coins? (of each type)
Nice little thing you got there, if theres anything i hate its running around with change in my pockets. Doubt you will find anything here in Norway, but theres always the option to use a wallet. Nice video as always.
Best regards, Daniel

You CAN Get Them In The UK At: taxi-mart
@trailer701 Canadian quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies should fit as they are the same dimensions as their U.S. counter parts...
@Skyline770 Timmies.......Second best thing about Canada lol.
The town we lived in didn't have a Timmies :( we had to go 20 or so minutes either way(lived in N. Ontario, in a town right off Highway 11), only had a coffee time :(
I retract that statement. I thought about the whole having exact change up to $1.34 makes a lot more sense. :P
I'll be buying one soon. Thanks.
i am going to buy one tomorow
Great video
do you review EVERYTHING that you buy?
Sales tax fills my pockets with unwanted change.
$3.00 price is $3.21; $1.99 is 2.13; $4.00 is $4.28.

Can you get them shipped to canada or is it just usa?
It will hold Canadian coins, I have had mine (knock off) and there great
i need one of those!
those are cool ... too bad i live in Australia..
good vid but geez that thing sure would take up so much more space in your pocket. it doesnt take long to count change and i'd rather carry all my change on me than what that little thing could hold
Cool, I picked up four!

How much coins can it hold per slot?
Do they only operate through paypal?
i am so going to buy this
omfg Jeff THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS! And SHUT UP to the haters/naysayers. I have been wanting a product just like this for so long! Thank you again!
was just thinking about this thing...
Interesting little gadget. I hate loose change so maybe i could use something like this, lol
y do you have so many?
@nesbitt615 Are you sure because I went to Pluto last week... man, it took me almost 3 hours on my hyper rocket, I asked one of the fluzeeys and they said that they were at Pandora but didn't see them there.... weird... what part of Pandora were you on? Have you tried the juju bees?
looks like you could make the keychain one yourself by drilling two holes...
thanks jeff really cooll thing but to bad its only in the US currency
i like this product but i dont like the fact that if you have 5 pennies or 4 quarters youd have some change left in your pockets
Hey Jeff just saw this in your latest EDC video, just ordered one I'm in the UK am they ship here now!
Does the currency fit?
Tamer Kassem it will hold 20p 5p and penny coins
+Stu Preston where did you get it from
James Hinrichsen off the chawly website they ship to the uk, it arrived really quickly too!
@boonie1994 It's his channel for any kind of video he wants to make. If you only want knife reviews, then just don't watch these vids. It's not hard. Some of us are actually interested.
It's cooler to do only I'm your pocket, and to take out exact change.
@survivalkid5108 ...All the wallets I've had could carry notes and change.
These are probably handy for getting the coins quickly, but i'd rather stick with my wallet cause of the space.
I can't believe you found out how to talk about this for over 13 minutes. More importantly, I can't believe I spent over 13 minutes watching you explain a coin organizer. LOL. I love ur vids but this one tops the "Captain Obvious" charts to date! ;) (keep the vids coming)
@pla1nswalk3r But does your wallet have a coin purse? Do you have a coin purse?
@pimpalicious3769 yup, you don't?
