I’d recommend getting camber plates in the future so you can adjust camber also the old rubber top heads get worn out and crack/get wobbly. There’s a few companies that make nice ones so you can improve the alignment adjustments for performance driving.
10:09 yikes!! Okay so a easy way to do that if you don’t have a spring compressor is loosen that top nut when it’s still in the car on the top hat when weight is on the vehicle. Then when you jack the car up you will release the tension. You can also do it the same way when the car is jacked up by putting a jack under the front control arm removing the bolt on the top hat with tension on the control arm underneath with a jack then after removing the top hat nut you slowly lower the jack. If you are reusing the stock top has you can even leave the 3 bolts in on the top and speed up the process even more. Glad you didn’t take you leg out. 👍🏼👍🏼
Looks like I'll be getting the street coilovers. The spring rates are 400lb front and 1142lb rear which is extremely stiff in rear. The bounce frequency is 2.04hz front and 2.65hz rear anything over 2hz is racing frequency. They are inexpensive enough to try them out and the best part is the quality in spring eibach. I like them over Solo Werks.
Guys explain please why you set adjustment thing on the up of rear spring but not under? I thought there is a bolt to connect this adjustment thing to suspension arm
Pro tip (or better yet, DIY tip) - you don’t need a spring compressor when dealing with old springs. In your case here just put several steel clamps in a few areas then remove that plate. If you’re doing just regular strut’s and reusing springs, jack under the strut, do the clamps trick, then remove. But, most parts stores will loan or rent the proper tool. My method is old school from the 1900s…!
Definitely way sturdier than stock. Does get a bit rough on major bumps but that’s to be expected on coilovers. I will be making a review video here shortly! So stay tuned for that
Love the Video! How does it ride on these coilovers? I'm thinking about buying these for my e23 7series. But I would like to keep a comfortable ride...
I have them on my e28. I never had coilovers before, but the build quality is amazing for the price. The ride is softer or as soft as stock. I am very satisfied. You get gas shocks, eibach springs, camber plates and height and hardness adjustment. Best thing I got on the car.
What model are those? Comfort or street? Im about to buy for my e46 sedan and the "street rear springs" are different than comfort (looks like yours, but your pic at 2.43 says street) help pls. Thnks

We're these really worth it? Sure free I know, but honestly would you have purchased them after a few months of riding on them ? Handling, sharpness, comfort or rough af???? Looking to buy a set or max pp new rs1 set for my e46 but don't wanna buy a 3rd time....
I Definitely would have bought them at this price point, definitely more firm but not to the point where you wouldnt want to not daily drive it. Its great for lowering your car and getting a more firm feeling
Hey, hopefully you still check these comments, but I just installed these (but different rear coils) on my e46, and did exactly as you did, tightened everything down, used washers, but they are clunking pretty bad!! Did this happen to you guys? Any ideas on why?

Get exciting on the E46!
Any updates or review video yet? Can't decide if I should just not be cheap and go for KW V1/V2 or give the MTS Techniks a shot in my e36 m3. Thanks!
So there’s a strut tool that basically looks like a oval Allen socket you just spin in 90° and it opens the knuckle.
Thanks for this, my set just arrived today 😀
