@Atlanticgamer94 the reason why they said more deaths twice is to think of it like this, remember the Nazi Blitzkrieg into France? Then compare it the Nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The jump from the start of the war to the end saw some major jumps in technology that can counter the previously thought of best protection.

I have two uncles that served in those wars. One of them was a ground assistant at the Italian airport in Oman during the First Gulf War,while the other one served in the Italian KFOR section during the Kosovo War and before that he went briefly in Croatia. They say something on the lines on "those were different wars than the ones you grew up with. The 90s were an incredible period: everything was changing,a chaos so big and uncontrolled that it was somewhat fascinating. The recent years are different: everything is changing, but it's like a swamp, where everything slowly stops moving" They are right, overall. I feel jealous for them. @Atlanticgamer94 the country's lifetime is long, and geopolitical and economic factors such as demographics compared with other nations indicate the US will remain the global superpower well into the next century.
