@@domosfishing3947 Yugoslavia was destabilized before the UN, we were killing and hating each other before the formation of the UN, Tito put an end to that, forcefully but still he condemned hatred between our people, when he died it opened up the gate to hatred and conflict again, the Serbs had flashbacks when Croatia wanted to be independent again, and that didnt work out well for them the last time Croatia was independent, NDH, so they rebeled and shit hit the fan, we should blame ourselves and not UN, they didnt fire the first shots, they didnt start the slaughtering of civilians. The war was caused by old hatreds and crimes, and if we continue to hate each other it may happen again and when does it end? After the next conflict we will hate each other again, and again, and again, a viscious cycle.

Why are you putting words in my mouth? Where exactly did I say that the UN fixed the issue? What do you think would have happened if UN and NATO didnt come and help fight against Serbia? You think things would have turned out better for Bosnia? You think less people would have died?
You do realize you cant just magically stop a foreign country war.
Just because the UN peace keeping force arrived it doesnt mean that magically they will make every single thing better and nobody will fire a single shot when they see the white armored vehicle of the UN, they are not wizards, they came to try and make peace but that doesnt mean they will always succed in that.
Also ffs how many subjects will you tack on to this? Where do your accusations end? Im not gonna have a debate over seeds with you, we are talking about the UN intervention in Bosnia, not a hundred other subjects you cant even prove.

Two Bosnians are walking down a street in Sarajevo when a sniper opens up on them. They rush for cover but one man has his ear shot off. He drops to his knees and begins looking. The second makes it to cover and begins screaming at his friend. "Get over here you idiot! You still have your other ear!" The first man replies "I don't give a shit about the ear! I'm looking for the cigarette I had resting on it!"

there is a interesting story about Tito and how he governed country in a manner so paradoxical you could only find it on Balkan. BND had been working with catholic organizations in country and political emmigration(read ustasha) outside of it. Fun thing is that BND used channels that were left over the nazi times and not only them but Tito himself arranged connections between conspirators. Basically he was working against country he created. This story has been told by one of the leaders of catholic anti-Yugoslavia movement, whose name I have forgotten but will add once I find the book where i read it.

Yup, but NATO DID provide a no-fly zone over Bosnia (Operation Deny Flight) and hit the besiegers' a few times from the air (Operation Deliberate Force) - because they were not dealing with a nuclear-armed superpower but a force whose only support came from a small and completely isoleted Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
Their threats, strikes and interposition of UN troops prevented the encirclement of the city so it was not even besieged in the classic sense. They did it not so much for humanitarian reasons, but to channel the conflict in the direction they wanted. Kiev is in a far worse position.

Edit: After a further look it’s not Handschar cos there’s an eagle above the right pocket which wasn’t on SS uniform but it was on Ustasha uniforms which leads to me believe it’s Ustasha, could just be regular Heer tho idk.
