I mean they both from New York
😂facts 🤣🤣🤣
Wu-Tang forever
Y’all know puffy’s zesty ass was lying when he said “I’m a positive black man” all while knowing he started the east coast v west coast beef and made the beef between 2pac and biggie happen
Suge wasn't lying about Queen Puffy 💯
Say what you will about what suge said about puff, he wasn't lying.........
I'll NEVER forget that night. That show was an organized mess. It was wildly awesome. The coming back from commercial break scenes were wild too. But Suge's diss about Diddy was on point. Diddy WAS in & on EVERYTHING. His stupid dancing in the videos. The constipated grunts on songs. I was sick of him. But you could feel the bad vibes in the room. Coming through the TV.
#Tupac4life
Exactly, if you are old enough to have watched this live in 1995, you could feel the tension in your own living room.
You just described it PERFECTLY
@@noellmdI remember feeling the tension and being nervous to go outside the apartment I was staying in,over in New York.
Goosebumps for thinking how good the music was back then.
Man hip hop was changed when they had that secret meeting in the early 90s and corrupted the music wit death and destruction, by people who hated the positive direction it was going.
I say it all the time. Do you ever see any other genre of music's artists with diss tracks? When have you ever seen beef at the CMA'S. East or West we all live in the United States. Black people fight over stupid shit that doesn't matter in the long run.
Very True Bro
This is the truth that unfortunately will be rejected by many.
Facts,Country Music Awards is kinda organized
Wtf watches the CMA's, lul
@@rubbersoul420 People who don't go to jail for 25-life because someone stepped on their Jordan's.
Ima remember how Andre 3000 stood up for the South!!!!!!!!!!!
Because they knew that it's their time to shine🙏🏾
Awful music😂
“the south got sum to say” 💯
OutKast winning Best New Artist for the Source Awards was big for the South ⬇️ .. they opened up a lot of doors and barriers for other Southern rappers to come out and be themselves, & and made Southern hip hop go global since then and it dominated Atlanta, Houston, Miami, Memphis, & and New Orleans amongst other major cities across the South ⬇️🌀🗣️🔥 .. The South was here to stay and show the world that they had something to say and outsold for the next decade .. OutKast, UGK, Geto Boys, Three Six Mafia, 8Ball & MJG, & and Dungeon Family brought Southern rap to the forefront of hip hop culture musically
They launched a edgy event.
the south had something too say indeed
we took over
Sure mr nobody.
Soo powerful what Ice Cube said right there at the end🤔...didn't know that's how the South got into the picture of course, from Ice Cube's level
You could not have started this video any other way! I'm posting this comment 15 secs in.. I haven't even seen the damn video yet, but I ALWAYS need to see that first 15 secs lol... GOOD SHIT... GOOD VIBE
Ruined a whole generation cause of envy
Wasn't expecting that voice. 😂 6:58

PAC saved Tim Dogg that's for real
He really did
Bronx/Bronx.... no fear.
If only ppl knew how right suge was at the time
How was being a hater right? Instead of focusing on his business, he's bitching and moaning about another company's moves.
And I'm no fan of Puffy at all. But facts are facts. Suge was so quick to call out Puffy for being on the songs and videos. But then puts his big head *FRONT AND CENTER* on all the Death Row promo materials. With his name on the bottom. At least Puffy contributed to the making of the music.
@@TRivera13 have you heard the drama every artist from bad boy has and does deal with?
@@TRivera13 name an artist off bad boy bigger than diddy. Then name 5 diddy tracks
@@marcusmckinney6153 I did say I wasn't fan of Puffy. And I'm not playing 20 Questions either. I'm simply pointing out that Suge talking about Puff, when he was just as selfish and egotistical is hilarious. Even more hilarious is people still think he had a point.
@@TRivera13 and I'm pointing at that suge was right calling out diddys trash way of running a record company.
Back when even the Studio Janitor would get on stage like they were part of "The Group" LOL....
Lmaooo
It was very very exciting. Look at the Huge talent that there was fighting for. And it was greater than any thing that is seen today. Boy what a night.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
And when Atlanta grab the industry... It ain't never let it go
The night that everything went straight to hell. I watched this live with my cousin & it was definitely some shit. 😩😩😩😩
Snoop said that when they got backstage they were told because of what he said they would let them walk out of there. But they had to go now.
3:34 that verse was for Easy-e not a response to the song Fuc* Crompton.
Death row was a head of bad boy and every other label at that time
Don’t you dare say that I’m a bad boy & now I’m all mad & we got beef.
That was real what 300 said the south have some thing to say East cost always hated on the south
Cause NY always felt like they were the best, they only saw themselves…if you weren’t from NY you were considered “trash” in their terms which haunted them later because the South took over later on
Facts when we actually listen to there music
I call it the curse of Andre 3000! He said it and the south stil got something to say and they've been saying it and running hip hop since 1998 at least.
Nothing been the same for all there back then to witness
I did like snoop how he delivered that crazy message lol 😂 hot crazy stuff.
I grew up during this era, and mannnn 😅 the HipHop tension was very REAL at the ‘Source Awards’!
This is pretty detailed. Nice job dude
Screw the drama...let's watch in awe at all of these classic hip-hop acts. When we say the 90s were a superior time for hiphop....each and every artist mentioned here is cemented in that energy and foundation...and this was just mid 90s before Canibus, Big Pun, Dmx, Jay Z, Cash Money, No Limit, Emenim ECT. Great times😊
Nice video bro!
How you gonna forget OutKasts moments here too, they caused some controversy here as well
Suge was right about that MF Diddy
Yeah, the rappers of this time lov to talk about how much the media messed up things, but this night was all us
And funny Puff said this shouldn’t be about East vs West. But he started the comment about I was born in the East and I’ll die in the East.
Dj Quik came at Tim Dogg on way 2 funky factz
Suge was right on spot about diddy, always annoyed me the fact that diddy couldn’t just stay in the backstage, always jumping around in every single one of biggie’s videos.
Suge was speaking facts and his speech aged so well but people didn't wanna hear it at the time.
But it was really a edgy time.
I was there. At the source awards that day. I won tickets from HOT97. Me and my cousin were there.
That was a point that lead it to death of Pac & Biggie & many athers.
Shout out to King Son who wanted to rush the stage when Suge dissed Puff😂 .
the music was amazing 😔
I remember being in my teens, getting those iconic magazines right when they came out ..... If we all only knew then what was going to happen.....
What people don't take into account too man is that Wu Tang and how heavy they went on stage could have added major fuel to the fire, especially with the numbers they had up there and because it was home turf
Love or hate him, that picture of Suge is iconic
And people thought PAC wasn’t about that life
Well Pac is a Bronx dude - so not surprised he wanted to hold down a Bronx dude like Tim Dog.
Yea. I heard about another time he pulled a gun on someone too, . And when the LA riots happened he went riding around shooting his gun in the air lol
Yeah, but what really changed the course of HIPHOP was when TUPAC got shot at QUAD STUDIOS in 1994,
that was really what was the BEGINNING OF THE END.
A CHAIN REACTION of negative shit came after , that led up to what was called the - (EAST COAST vs WEST COAST WAR)
Tupac Shakur and biggie smalls RIP
The west coast Los Angeles California gangsta rap has won this battlefield game. Of his death row chronicles 92-96. That's how they are dominated the charts album like the chronic, Doggystyle, tha dogpound, the D.O.C, compton most wanted shooting by drive, way 2 fonky dj QUIK, NWA straight outta Compton, niggaz4life!, eazy duz it and westside connection. There all 10 greatest experience albums that ever come into this primetime game. Since the golden era collection late 1980's and early 90's. Cause impact of this revolutionary culture and uprising out of those controversies. Especially attacking the police officers and gang politics about saying fuck tha police and gangsta gangsta rap all time destroyed the hip hop culture out of here!
I love how (unknown at the time) with this being a monumental moment in hip hop, Suge still stutters at the beginning 😂
because Sugar Bear was never really a tough guy
@@Amidat dude... The comment is 7 months old... Why bother?
