    i'm from the Philippines (a third world country) but where i came from, a small island in Quezon, we eat healthier than those from the first world country. We grow our own vegetables, we raise our native chicken, we eat water buffalo meat and we plant and harvest our own rice we catch fish by hook, line and sinker. We never had fastfood back then. We had to go to Manila just to have a taste of McDonalds and to us it was luxury. But as i look back, i'm like daaaaammm I was so lucky. Now i realise that those simple things we had back in the days are such a luxury nowadays a.k.a healthy eating..

    • @Yomuju
      @Yomuju 10 років тому +3

      ***** You need to count macros. Not down to every meal, but you should have an approximation of what you should be eating every day. Combine that with whole foods and you're fine. If you just eat anything that comes into your eyesight, you're going to get fat. Simple biology. Unless you are burning the extra 1000 calories a day, which I doubt you are, then you will get fat.

    It sounds fucked up but alot of poor people actually eat better food for muscle building than rich people, when I think about it when I was younger(poor) my diet consist of basic carbs, protein, and micro nutrients.If I ever ate fastfood it was a treat but whole food were the cheap foods to eat back in my younger days only the most fortunate ate fast and processed foods.

    • @callusmaximums
      @callusmaximums 10 років тому

      No not really at all if your rich you can buy more of the best stuff all the time and you don't always have to eat fast food. It's all down to the individual with their own choice

    • @JasonWilliams-28
      @JasonWilliams-28 10 років тому +1

      Callum Hobart You misunderstood my comment, I didn't mean wealthy people can't or don't eat healthy foods of course they do, my point is that that being poor limits the range of choices, all of the wonderful cakes and candies and decadent treats are out of reach so you have to opt for sustainable foods like rice, whole proteins, raw vegetables etc. some of my favorite treats as a child were celery sticks with peanut butter, peaches and plumbs that I could purchase myself at the corner store.

    that's so true if you arnt growing your own then you are probably eating garbage and even if you are growing your own, nothing is perfect anymore. the soil has chemicals, the seeds are F'd up. sadly i don't have the money to have a my own property to grow my own food and we don't have organic food here in south jersey and farmers markets are summer only. but hey all you can do is try your best. i just eat and lift 2-3 a week. i have fun working out, i don't kill myself over it. im no bodybuilder but all you can do is try ur best.

    Before I watch this video, I am very skeptical of Mr Kali Mucsle's philosophy of health eating lol. This guy drinks instant coffee and GMO phosphoric acid soda's for "energy." I'll watch this video and edit my comment for further analysis and review.
    Edit: So I agree with Kali that a lot of the animal products are pumped with chemicals - hormones, antibiotics, GMO feed, etc... I also understand his point that people with little money can't afford organic food. With that said, I disagree with him that poor people are doomed to eating unhealthy. I am poor myself so I understand where he's coming from. You can buy CLEANER food though. Everyone really should not be drinking soda or instant coffee or even top ramen. You can spend your money on rice, potatoes, beans, and veggies.
    A side note about potatoes though. Because they grow underground, they tend to absorb all the chemicals that growers use as fertilizers, pesticides, etc. I only would buy organic potatoes.
    God bless you all and good luck with your journey called Life :)

    I'm a fan of your channel, but I'd like to see a series of videos where you live by the slogan on that shirt. I know you help some kids with some programs, but I'd like to see you help random people in many ways, especially those in which it is of no benefit to you to help them such as in gaining publicity or sales. I think many people on youtube would love to get behind somebody that REALLY cares about the people they say they want to lift up, rather than say the words because it makes them look like they are philanthropic when all they're really looking for is an image so that they can make more sales.

    An inexpensive, good diet:
    1. Buy chunk light tuna in bulk at Costco and pink salmon for vitamin D
    2. Buy oatmeal in bulk
    3. Buy eggs in bulk
    4. Frozen mixed vegetables in large family packs, six packs of Goya black beans
    5. Apples, bananas, canned pineapple.
    Should come out to about $4.50 per meal, say, cheaper than a sandwich at a deli. And you get all your basic food groups in large quantities.

However I was tired all the time, not having any gas in the tank to lift. Since Kali, Ive upped my intake to just 100 cals over my recommended BMI cal intake with rice, chickens and sups... and I can quite literally feel the energy surge and Ive never hit the irons harder in my life.Kali Muscle, thank you for your time and advice, if you move away from UA-cam, best of luck, you've inspired me.

    Kali is truth.org with another excellent down to earth video.Even if someone is rich and can afford pre-workouts, etc., who are they to condemn someone else's nutrition? What I WOULD do is tell someone who isn't getting bigger they should shoot for 1.5 grams per lb. per day if they really want to maximize growth. Most people in the gym have no clue whatsoever how much protein is needed to really build muscle.

    Ever since I was born I've been eating whatever I think tasted good. I'm 18, 160 and growing. I didn't start looking at calories til I was 16 I things the bodybuilding world would but I also still eat what I like. Truth be told I don't really eat right but I'm still making gains! All kiiiinds.

    "Strong people don't put others down", yet he disses people who eat 10k calories in a day after a cut. It must be a coincidence he mentioned that, right after the Hodge Twins put the 10k calories video up. And this fucker did a colab video with them.

    Truth be told, I live on a budget, and I have to say, that even on a budget, you can get some of that healthy food in your system. You don't need to obsess over eating organic or buying everything from Trader Joe's. I work at a job where I have to keep from eating anything unhealthy to make sure I perform right, and my food budget only goes so far. I'm glad that I live in an area where food like apples, pears, and pineapples are fresh and affordable. Also, when it comes to pasta, there are veggie pastas out there that cost less than $2 a box, and a box can last an entire week. And as for the tuna and top ramen, you can decide whether or not you want to eat noodles, but tuna is a very healthy source of protein. If you're worried about mercury levels, you can always eat albacore tuna, which is known to have way less mercury content than standard chunk light tuna. That's my two cents, and thanks for the motivation, Kali Muscle.

    while I understand Kali's point I have to respectfully disagree. and before you ask. Yes Kali's physique is way ahead of my own. but its just logic that if you have a less than perfect diet then you can only ever expect less than perfect results. sure you can have a balanced meal and then maybe add some kind of tasty extra to it whether its a flavored drink or some kind of sauce for example. but the meal would be better if you didn't have the extra and simply added more content to the base meal to make up the same calories.
    And for those who claim that they still get results not eating 100% clean every meal or follow IIFYM....sure you may get results. but you'd get better results following a plan that is as close to perfect as you can possibly get it, given your budget.
    Personally I believe the enjoyment from the bodybuilding lifestyle comes not from the meals you eat. but the results of eating the best you can eat. you should get more satisfaction from the outcome of a healthy meal then you would get from the actual experience of eating an UNhealthy meal. you dont have to follow this. but don't ever expect to reach your best if you don't.

    I for one buy from farms I know. Its not practical for me to own a farm or have a big garden but I get a 1/4 black Angus grass fed cow every six months 229lbs stock the freezer and do the same with my chicken and eggs. I buy organic brown rice and we bake any grain/bread products plus make our own granola bars. And our fruit and veg varies, farm fresh or flash frozen organic. People have to remember with organic it only matters with certain foods and your countries definition of organic varies so read up.

    Trader Joe's isn't expensive though.
    Top Ramen is actually expensive if you compare the cost per serving with rice.

    Amish make the best farm product. They don't use nothing synthetic. Chicken meat is leaner since the chicken is free roam and not boxed up its whole life like a factory farm. Amish grow their own veggies and its organic and cheap as fuck.

    People that say "fuck macros" are probably too ignorant to understand the concept and why people do it. You don't have to be exact with it, but if you are serious about training you should have some understanding of what you are eating. Just read a nutrition label and calculate it in your head. Counting macros isn't just someones opinion about nutrition. It's science.

    I ate tons of Top Ramen when I was in College. I wanted to be big, but with that diet I was only ripped. Now I eat tons of meat and I am 265 at 10 percent body fat, but it really gets expensive if you want to be big.

    I don't care if Kali Muscle refuses to admit to steroid use. He hides his steroid use for personal and security reasons, so that he can run his youtube channel without too much controversy.
    From what I've seen of his videos: he's a reformed convict that used lifting and strength training as an outlet to reform his life after prison and now contributes to society through encouraging people to work out and get fit.
    He's a good character, sincere as well, and I respect that.
