I would imagine that psychologists would tell us that these European trappings of authority represent an acceptance of European superiority .
Did not our people make decisions following the traditions of OUR elders, 1000s of years before Europeans invaded our lands, spilled our ancestors innocent blood and brutalized our people, displayed contempt and ridicule for OUR traditions ? And even when they call themselves “ administrators of justice”, did we receive justice from these invaders?
Consider, what do you think Europeans say among themselves when they see us continuing to follow THEIR traditions? I’d bet they howl with laughter seeing us wearing THEIR costumes, just as you would shake your heads in disbelief if they were to wear OUR clothing.
OUR children see this display of these European costumes and subconsciously praise Europeans, while destroying their own self esteem.
A European would look silly wearing a Kufi or an Agbada; with all due respect to the highly educated lawyers and judges, put that costume in the museums , right next to some wax figure.
Mighty Africa, move forward toward OUR great future.

All African nations who practice wearing those wigs by judges they need to stop the practice and turn the page from the colonial era. They can place those wigs in their national museums since it is a part of their history. The money they spend on colonial era wigs can be used to improve the lives of their citizens.

I learned the hard way that earning a college degree doesn't necessarily make you a genius or the smartest person in the room as a matter of fact some of the most clueless human beings I've ever encountered I met while I was a student at the Aeronautical Engineering school actually a year before I got there a student did in fact poisoned himself to death by accidentally mixing detergent in his protein shake I kid you not and during my sophomore year at least one person had his hand yanked while operating a CNC lathe but the icing on the cake happened when I was deployed with the air force in Afghanistan where I literally had to body slam a cadet who thought it would actually be a great idea to use an oxy acetylene cutting torch over a Mirage 2000 damaged wing pylon with the payload still attached to the release mechanism basically while I was debriefing my pilot out of nowhere that dude started blasting fire over a misfired sidewinder missile and a jdam bomb I literally lost it on that guy then got him arrested by the MPs weeks later they revoked his @ss
Guys I swear that doofus could've killed us all and the guy owns a mechanical engineering degree smh
Again like I said a degree is just a piece of paper that doesn't mean your IQ is above average judges and lawyers can be complete incompetent idiots as well just sayin...

    • @serene1275

Exactly. Been telling people who think because they got a couple of degrees it doesn't mean it helps them earn common sense. Education is not the same as common sense. Can't tell you how many time clueless people like that lacked common sense to the point of not researching facts, think outside the box, etc. There's three things, I told them which is the three Cs. Communication, Comprehension and Common Sense. Most of them know how to communicate, half of them comprehension and all of 90 percent of them lacked common sense. Imagine having to explain to someone the word comply doesn't mean a law. Imagine how many of them said yes, it does. Truth is there's a lot of stupid people around who can read and write. Those kind of people believed people who can't read and write are the stupid people. Trust and believe that I have met and spoken with some people who can't read and write and have a lot of common sense than those with a bunches of degrees.

The expression on your face says just about all that needs to be said about these relics of the colonial era. One would have thought that this tradition would be one of the main traditions that would have been jettisoned by the Kenyan officials after they gained there independence from England.

Thanks for the video. The first time I saw african lawyers wearing these wigs i asked myself , don't these people have mirrors to see how ridiculous they look?
I've been to a few African states and unfortunately some people, who should know better, still think they are living in Colonial times, meaning they get their instructions from the UK .
This explains the lack of real progress compared to east Asian states.
