They were in charge of preparing the knight, holding things for the knight, etc. So holding onto the swords and the helmets would be part of their job.

That Witch Tasha luckily I ordered another deck that will hopefully make learning easier! I’ve wanted tarot cards for YEARS! I got this deck because it spoke to my aesthetic the most. But I was able to get ahold of a standard deck for beginners that still had a dark vibe.

The artwork is gorgeous though, very tempting. It's between bohemian gothic, haunted house and this tarot...
Oooh haunted house was on my list too. Still is. LOL. I love this deck as far as the art goes, and I think someone with your experience could totally read with it, but it would SUCK if you were buying this deck to learn with. That LWB is soooo bad.
I'm a filipino nurse and I also read tarot for weeks now.. Wow how I wish I can also make my own version in the near future.. check out the dark mansion tarot too.. I just love your reaction 🥰
OMG! So I actually bought this a few weeks ago, and I had the SAME exact reaction to the Heirophant. I never really connect to that card... except with this deck. I just fell in LOVE with him.
I just got this deck. It is my first, I am an absolute beginner in it. It came without any instruction/booklet whatsoever 😅 just the cards. The artwork is gorgeous but yeah kinda a hard start with no guidelines included to it 😅

I like the 8 of Swords in this deck. I didn't see it as angel--I see the wings as the ghostly element of the card, while she is living. They’re the symbolic representation of the thing that can lift her out of her predicament once she realizes she has it. I thought it was a unique interpretation of that aspect of the card: the situation is oppressive and seems inescapable, but there is a way out. Sometimes, the person keeps herself there, knowingly or not, but there’s always a way to break free. By the way, I also love the 3 of Swords in this deck. It’s a much better visualization than the standard heart pierced by three blades. I like to look at this deck while listening to Nox Arcana music.
@@TarotwithTasha Thanks for responding! Tarot's been a minor hobby of mine for ten years, and I feel I'm just scratching the surface of its great depths. I love seeing new perspectives on cards, but no one I know has the same interest, so I just read the books that come with some of the cards and the occasional book I see at the fleamarket. I don't do readings for others--my interests are in the symbolism, its use in interpreting and writing fiction, and self-reflection.
@@TarotwithTasha The spookiness is definitely there. But for whatever reason, I really feel the sadness of this deck. Maybe that's just how the imagery speaks to me, but it's a really neat deck regardless.

In case you would appreciate help with the pronunciation for the publishing company. Here is how I say it: Lo Scarabeo = Lo- (‘low’-not high, but low), scara (exactly as it sounds out s-c-a-r-a), be (‘bay’-rhymes with ‘play’) o-(‘oh’- as in ‘low’). Break into syllables: Lo/ scara/ be/ o. Stress is on ‘be’, (pronounced as ‘bay’). Thought you may like help with this as you were really struggling with it and Lo Scarabeo is a publisher you will meet again. Also, I agree the LWBs can be very disappointing, but some are great even though they’re short. The LWB for Tarot of the Sweet Twilight (also a Lo Scarabeo deck) is fabulous. It has twelve pages, in English. But as you say, some LWB are virtually useless. I am definitely interested in this deck. The artwork is fabulous, and fortunately the border is not too overbearing. I am doing a course in mediumship and think this deck may pair well with it, when I read the tarot. Thank you for the flip-through.

This deck has some great art. I think that the temperance should have the ghost be part physical form and part ghost.

The 8 of Swords shows a conflict. Does she fly or fall? If she falls does she die? If she's an angel is she alive or dead? Questions take you deeper
