Advice I received from a CEO of a $100MM/yr revs DoD contractor regarding the 8(a) program was: keep that powder dry until you can use it properly and benefit from it. Meaning, it is a 9 year program and many people jump into it assuming they will automatically win contracts, but that is not how it works. Great video as usual.

I have had the opportunity to provide leads to two female contractors that has gotten the project and start January 2020. So I do not do the work obviously. I have over 10 yrs experience in recruiting, staffing, consulting, and providing leads in the construction industry. So I have decided to began my own and would like to work mostly with women-owned/minority owned contractors in every area not just military. Any recommendations please.
Wow with your 10 years of experience you should be extremely successful. However, I would caution that construction can be litigious which is why I warn people that it is not enough to be good at delivering your goods and services. You may have to chase dollars which is why I personally stick to federal contracts.

+Christian Rubio the terms vary by contract and the way they buy it. Sometimes they pay on CC which can be instantly. Products 30 days after invoicing, construction 15 - 30 days progress payment. Depends on job type and agency.

To qualify for a subcontract you don't need to be registered in SAM only to bid as a prime.

What profile do you want that person to look over? If you are registered in SAM than you are okay to bid federal jobs on FBO.
