why is every one being so negative? this kid is 13 and who cares if he is being expressive? He did very well for his age.
Yessssss. He plays really well for someone my age (almost..old)
They are intimated they didn’t have that ability at 13
Absolutely, this kid is a prodigy.
Very expressive playing and a lot more body movement than I ever witnessed from any other clarinetist. Nice to hear From the Top feature a woodwind player!
I mean really guys can you not criticize it's profusely annoying. yeah he moves around a lot but I think he did great so can you like not point out tiny things you just want to put him down to make yourself feel higher and its really annoying me. you can think whatever but don't point out the little things. be proud of the child prodigy. i know hes doing something great these days.
this makes me want to watch Your lie in April again ;-;
Wow! Amazing Andrew, that was awesome! Keep up the hard work 😓. Love your passion!
He can circular breathe! Still has air supply problem, but his lungs will get bigger. Watch out for him in future.
Why am I here? I know nothing about clarinets...
He was playing his high notes a bit airy but otherwise he is very talented and I can tell he has been practising unlike other clarinettists fantastic expression all he needs to do is to work on how hard he blows
I think when u mean unlike other clarinetista you mean me :) like for me it would be impossible to play that I can’t even play low to high in that speed he is going
He is just as old as I am and we play it almost exactly the same way (but he has a wider dynamic range than I do) He plays so well!!
@@JeffersonSheng Rude! No need to bring people down!
Lots of room for improvements here. First thing I would start on is moving him on to 1/2 strength softer reeds.
He is a BBIIIIIG fan of Martin Frost
Roberts Zonīs lol. His mannerism I feel like he is trying to copy Martin frosts mannerisms
@@Brave_Aviator thats what i said. In short
@@Brave_Aviatoryou copy the people you liked to be like. I did that I listened to Michele Zukovsky and try to emulate her playing. That’s part of study on your way to becoming your own.
Should teach Squidward
Is he trying to copy Martin Frost? 🙈
2muchtho
+clarinete09 I was wondering why the performance mannerisms looked so familiar, you're so right! Even in his vibrato...
Yes prob they play so similarly
Nice work. I'm 14 and it would be pretty hard for me to play this. And I'm good for my age.
Update: I'm 16 now... He's not bad and I could probably about equal this now, if not slightly better
@@alexphipps4912 How are you now?
@@DanielG0926 I think a bit better than this
Alex Phipps Keep improving you got this!
Update?
Wow! ❤
Apropos of many of the comments on here: "Those who know won't tell, and those who will tell don't know."
its weird i searched up 13 year old clarinetist and it just so happens im working on the same piece
Those moves...
Where is he now?
All that moving around is good musicanship, improves the sound.Ron Shields
when the audience sees him people start dialing 911 for an aid car. 911 whats your emergency. the audience: HELP THERES A CLARINETIST WHOS HAVING A HEART ATTACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic! I dream to be that expressive and talented! I love From The Top but I don't like how WRR 101.1 changed the airing time.
He is good at the clarinet damn!!!!!
also he skipped a whole section it might just be the music but idk
+Amy Zhou He might have done it either because in his studies (because he is only thirteen) performing the Concertino without that particular variation was easier for him, or because the show only needed so much material for him to perform on the show. Technically he did skip the (3rd?) variation and the slow portion, it was more than likely just more convenient for the show
+Sabrii Anderson I've heard some other very artistic and more developed teenagers on the show that only played on air for a little over two minutes
Sounds like me and im 12
Nah this kid's a prodigy
This litterately sounds liek something id learn back then, and especially now lol
Was nice to listen too but I had to scroll down. All that crazy moving around was just annoying.
well that was kinda the only way for him to play
Not bad for 13 but his mannerisms are just so pompous it irritates me
Steven Cenname .
Well he is a 13 year old
lol
It’s Mari Davison he is great with personalty
@Steve Cenname I know how you feel. It's just... TRIGGERING!
What's with the strange expressions and shaking?
Exactly
He's just in the music, and loves playing really
me also being 13 ; 😏
Why is he moving so much?
@Filip_bruh He’s young and can feel the musicality he just hasn’t contained the movement yet. But it shows that he can feel the music and can phrase correctly.
He skipped majority of the sections I have played this as a solo when I was 13, also most of it is slurred instead of being articulated
I can't stand seeing clarinetists, (and other soloists), behaving this way. I always scroll down to the comments so I don't have to watch that pretentious crap.
3:11 toilet sit
Way too much movement!
Bro's just in the music, can't hate
Good playing, but tone absolutely AWEFUL. Stage presence terrible
I’m the same age, and honestly, I could do much better! I mean at 1:24 he just looks ridiculous.
hes just really nervous, sure mr. minecraft pfp go do better than this guy. I want you to go on stage in front of hundreds of really important people and try to do half as good as this guy.
his dynamics are trashed and too "try hard"
I am way better and I am only 12, He also does weird moves
The "weird moves" were his expression, musicians do that, and saying that you're way better is kind of a little bit rude, ngl
I feel like he is sort of moving like Martin frost?
first car Maryland state junior Allstate me is better I can make that exaggerated movement
Car?
@@certifiedluigi chair
He cuts short at 11.00 and he is not a expert
He’s not that good..?
I'm 13 as well and I could do better on a plastic clairinet lol.
Prove it, post your video here not your flapping gums!
That may make the biggest meme on the planet, lets see!
