One thing I particularly like about the new maps is that "sprayed" random bullets cannot easily travel far and kill you across the terrain, because there is a lot of hard cover and trenches.
Finally tried this game the other day for a couple of hours. Coming from BFV, it was really a different experience and that's normal. I played alone with no microphone so no wonder it was almost impossible to play well. Maybe this type of game isn't for me, but I can see why people play it. Battlefield V should've be more like Post Scriptum when it comes to weapons and skins. No unrealistic sights or skins in Post Scriptum and that's nice. Maybe I'll try this again later, but for now I'm gonna continue playing Battlefield.
Playing alone with no mic is the problem, teamwork and communication is what makes teams win.... like in reality, a soldier doesn't win wars, an Army does.
@@a05odst62 Thanks for the help. I actually don't own the game yet, just tried it free for the weekend. Also right now I'm pretty broke so I can't buy it, but I'll add you as friend in Steam and get back at you if/when I'm buying the game in the coming weeks.
A mic is absolutely vital in this game, but teamwork even more. If you do keep playing without a mic, you would be best to stick to being in an infantry squad, as a member, and just following the orders of your squad leader. However, once you get a mic, don't be afraid to take leadership role. Sometimes it's nice to follow someone else, take all the major thinking out of the game, and just play it as they lead you, but once in the leadership roles you start to see the game differently. You have to move a whole squad as one, think about what assets you have, how to best maneuver around the enemy, keep an eye on your rally points timer, and all while trying to coordinate with the other squad leaders, tank commanders, and battalion commander. It get's a little overwhelming at times, but it really teaches you strong skills in multitasking, critical thinking, and even some leadership that can translate into real life. It's why I love playing games like this ("Squad" is another awesome game a lot like this one. This is actually a spin off of the game Squad, though Squad is set in modern day warfare).
@@machineofwar9996 Thanks but already beyond that. I never have it on as it's an awful effect devs keep putting into games, modern monitors have enough of their own. It's more about trying to find a happy medium between no AA which gives the glow on everything and other effects or the UE4 AA which makes everything after 50m all blurry. Using the sharping can help but then you get back to the glow again. The night map just makes it more apparent while Omaha can get a more coloured corona from the lighting, super sampling helps on the chp 1 & 2 maps but with the performance issues of the new ones I have to leave it off to counter them.

I admit I increased the gamma settings when playing the game :P
EDIT : actually, I think it just looks darker on UA-cam.
The darker the better
It is incredibly dark, my screen was black when inside, I had to put my gamma up a little
It's still dark.... which is good...
@@a05odst62 Well, for the UA-cam video, it is great. In game, it creates a discrepancy between those with lower and higher gamma (vision).
@@Baraz_Red It really does, if they want to play with light on their maps, the gamma setting shouldn't be as extreme or shouldn't exist at all.
