I quite like the no hype on voge bit like enfield early doors....560 mile first trip cumbria to Bridlington on my ds525x agree on comfort but revelation riding back in dark with superb lights....keep up the no nonsense reviewing👍👍
I'm with you on motor size. That git-up-n-go is thrilling stuff but for everyday riding I love me some 500cc 45/50hp. Been across the country (US) on a Honda 500 four and twice on a Honda CX500 and never felt like I needed more. Love the videos, Gilly. Keep 'em coming!
I really enjoyed watching that. I could imagine your face when you pulled up at Harley Davidson and seen all those people wearing vests 😂😂😂. I bet Taffy was excited though.
My Chinese CFMOTO 650nk from 2017 has just clocked 80,000km and it has been a great bike , yes some small things have broken over the years but all easily fixed by me . I do all the maintaince and oil changes at home and after 7 years it's still looking good . ps. I ride it to and from work 5-6 days a week averaging 40km per day ,
Great video and i look forward to seeing what the bluetooth is all about. I have a XSR900 naked and i feel your pain on motorways and in the cold weather with the wind blast. I can imagine on country back lanes with the amount of power it produces it’s a proper blast.
I think biggest competitor for this little voge is one of their own bikes, the voge 900 dsx,a much bigger bike i know but incredible value for money and absolutely Laden with technology, maybe too much technology for some, but watching some of the reviews "including yours" it's a hell of a bike and when it's time to part with my super tenere the voge 900 is definitely on my Xmas list
Nice post mate, seems like a good bike up to now, couldn't help noticing at 27m23s in; the tank decals look like they are coming off or is it the camera angle....
As a regular visitor to in2moto, looking for my next "big bike", Mark has tried to get me to try those bikes but they are so tall. Im interested in your experienced opiniin as to how suitable they are for newly qualified riders? Also, your pooch is adorable, defo stole your show today in my eyes ❤. Look forward to hearing more.. ride safe!
I can’t compete with her. 😂😂. These would be a good option for a new rider. I’m only 5”8 and it doesn’t feel too tall for me. For a similar style there is the Benelli Leoncino 500 and 800 which are a little lower on seat height. They are a decent alternative if this is too tall. I did a review on the 500 recently and was really impressed with that.
@GillyBikes thanks Gilly. Im 5,3 so considerably smaller. Im looking at the benelli,s as they just seem to balance out really well when I sit on the seat, but will catch up with your reviews in the meantime. Keep up with the great "hobby", you are fab!
Looks a great bike and I have to say I'm a fan of the brand. However the Triumph speed 400 and the RE Guerilla both retail at the same price and are relatively similar to this. I know you haven't reviewed them yet, but can you see any reason to get an untested Voge, with all the (sometimes unfounded) concerns around a chinese bike, over those two?
Once again , a " proper" real world review 👍......The Voge looks very capable .....Harley Davidson ; I remember talking to a very disssatisfied owner a few years ago who had one ...; the frame was rusting from the inside and it was very obvious what was happening but Harley Davidson in all their wisdom treated this particular owner with arrogance . This episode dragged on for a very long time .They eventually admitted it was a manufacturing fault but the owner was definitely out of pocket moneywise
Very true. I didn’t fit in was probably a better thing for me to say. It reminded me of the film Police academy when they walk into the Blue oyster bar and everyone is wearing leather. I was completely out of place. 😂
Good vid, if you could give us a few more details like, seat height Engine is it a Twin? Tank Size? How many ltrs? How many MPG are you getting or how many miles per ltr Do Voge make the engines? Or are they an old version of Suzuki Kawasaki or even Honda as some bikes are, Mutt for example use older Suzuki Engines apparently? CF Moto apparently are in bed with KTM I think Lonsin or however it is pronounced make small engines an scooters for BMW it maybe another China Company?? but many Chinese have made bikes or scooters for the big 4 , so imo quality should not be a problem. Anyway i look forward to more vids and info
Lonsin make all different engine sizes. Including their DS900X. They also make the engine for the BMW that uses the same engine. 👍. I’ve topped the tank up and I’m going to be using it all week until the fuel light comes on. The next video will include mpg. I think the difference between Voge (lonsin) is that were others copy engines from other bikes, these actually make the engines for BMW, Kawasaki etc so they wouldn’t be so much as a copy and more likely just the same engine.
@@GillyBikes Thanks for the info, if only more info was out about this sort of stuff maybe people would not look down their nose at Chinese bikes, i have a Honda SH 300 made in Italy not Japan. Be interested seeing your review and thoughts on the bike, and i hope you get more press bikes and invites in the near future
@michaelwade1092 I agree with that. They release new bikes with little info. Hopefully the more experience they get in the uk the better they will become. The sh300 looks decent. I’ve been out on the Honda pcx today. Hopefully get a video out in a few days. Honda is the only make I have never owned. Shocking really with all of the different models they have.
@@GillyBikes Ive had all bikes from the BIG 5 Makes loved them all, the SH300 is a good scoot its my weekend shopping trolly, save sitting in weekend traffic and can load it up albeit i might make 2 or 3 journeys, does 80mph but it prefers 555/ 60 mph and so do i tbf. i will watch the pcx vid later as its steak night with family soon. keep plugging them reviews its bound to take off big soon. Keep taking tips off the big reviewers, MP tmf ER BR and many others. Bye for now
I know that. That’s my point really. Yes they are great bikes but do you want to have the same bike as everyone else? I will probably get one, one day. I just want to be different now. 😂
I have been known to ride a Honda C 70 , various 100 / 125’s & 250’s on motorways , a 500 should be well capable of comfortably cruising & with more to spare for safety . The old Honda CB 500 would hit 115 to 125 mph on a good day , so I expect a modern 500 to hit a ton with ease , even allowing for EU 4 & 5 strangulation . The thing that spoils that Voge AC 525 X for me ,is the naff rear end & the tacky bitza mudguard . It looks like an bodged afterthought . It would have looked so much better, with a normal rear tail piece ,rear light & proper mudguard & reg plate holder. Since when have we had such thing as biking season, when I started riding motorcycles , there was no such thing , we rode them all year round in all types of weather, come rain ,shine ,fog , snow or ice , I still do . Oh & I wouldn’t swop my Honda or Suzuki for any Harley , they have no appeal for me 👍
The biking season is always something that confuses me. I get people don’t won’t to get cold or wet. The solution for me is get better clothing to keep you dry and warm.
I owned a Harley Davidson for about a week, that was enough for me They are a wonderful way of losing a lot of money! They’ve had a few dealers close down recently too and my local secondhand bike shop is always full of Harleys with hardly any miles on them They are selling a dream not a motorcycle
Having watched with interest various UA-camrs testing different Chinese motorcycle's. But my experience with Chinese bikes is when they get a few years old you struggle to get parts. No information regarding service specs. Wiring diagram. It's ok selling bikes but you won't last long without the backup.
I don’t sell any bikes. But I get what you’re saying. What I’ve personally seen with the voge bikes is very positive. Because they make parts / engines for other brands they appear to share parts with other bikes so I don’t ever see getting parts an issue. They are new (ish) to the UK and reputation has to be earned with the public. So far they appear to be doing really well.
Not really referring to anyone in particular. You can go down all of the thumbnails and the ones with a nice looking woman always seem to get a ridiculous amount of views regardless of how good it is. Some are very good so they deserve it but it’s the beauty that draws them in.
have to point out you had a Harley for a short time and had nothing bad to say about it, and only a mug or someone with a lot of money buys Harley official parts, so much aftermarket stuff out there for them is much, much cheaper, and yes I have one but didn't buy from a Harley stealer as not had a good experience in one as yet and that is why they are closing hand over fist, shit attitude to anyone not buying expensive bikes or there just looking, like the bikes hate the organisation that sell them lol, but still very interested in the Voge, accident damage to my leg means things will likely have to change riding wise hence my interest, as with Benelli and CFmoto a lot of bike for the money which is also why I asked about with a pillion test as got a Mrs to transport around as well
I loved my Harley. What I don’t like about the new ones is them having rust when they are less than a year old. I would definitely buy another one. But I think I would go for an older bike rather than a new (ish) one.
@@GillyBikes they are no worse than most and better than many still, and hold their value better than anything else out there pretty much, and you can't buy or "engineer" character like so many now try to do, part of what I fiund interesting about the Chinese stuff is they don't try to pretend to have character or heritage like a some Brit and a Yank company in particular, they are what they are
