@@bemoredomorehavemore To be honest, I lost count but it was already in the hundred thousands when I bought it years ago. I need to see what the actual number is.
@@snaktabak I’d agree with you, based on research i did before making this video. The shutter opens only once if a video is recording and so its operation is unlikely to affect the footage you are trying to capture. I think it’s still just important to know what the count is if your camera uses a mechanical shutter, if for nothing, just to be more informed about the condition of your camera. Of course if you are buying a used camera for video purposes only, then your comment is so much more valid. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
A shutter count is basically pointless. It tells you nothing about the life of your camera. There are so many other variables that have an effect on the lifespan of the camera, and shutter count is probably the least useful. Honestly, this video is pointless.
@@dobythedog Even though I disagree with you, your opinion is valid. The video didn’t say shutter count is the most important thing. I simply said it’s important to know about it. Of course there are so many other things to consider when talking about camera life spans. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Thanks for the tip!
I'm pretty sure my 5D III is close to a million at this point, still works great. I've only had shutter issues with 5D classic
Interesting. Never thought I’d hear shutter counts of up to a million.

Good to have you back sir , happy weekend.
The funny thing. If a camera is used for video it doesn't count so much.
