    The holes in the side help you to hear as a player, what you are playing. I actually cut a huge in the side of my first uke, it really helped me to monitor my own sound.

    These are lovable goof balls.
    BUT...
    If you're looking to buy and wondering when it starts to get informative... it doesn't. Just trying to save others the time I can't get back.

      I can't agree more. These guys are lovable but I've watched some pretty stupid stuff on UA-cam but this honestly was the 2nd biggest waste of time in 10 years of vids.

    Why does everyone push people away from the soprano? I think they sound great so instead of buying a cheaper concert how bout finding a more expensive soprano. Look up Roy Smeck and see how much of a "toy" the soprano is.

    • @juanitastew2495
      @juanitastew2495 5 років тому

      I have all three sizes and a baritone and while I play mostly concert, Sopranos have the brightest sound most iconic Hawaiian sound and are super portable.

    • @-siranzalot-
      @-siranzalot- 3 роки тому

      I originally started out with a Soprano but switched over to concert quite quickly. One reason was that I wanted more frets, the other that I wanted a bit more space for my hands while still not losing out in the traditional Ukulele Feel. I still use a Soprano for travelling though :)
