I met both today at MCM London. Mason is the sweetest person I have ever met. They was so gentle and friendly to my mother and she keeps asking me if they will be at the next comic con. Tom is a darling and I could tell he really loves the character the Sandman. He kept going in and out of the character of Sandman during our short time together which makes me believe that he loves the character and acting. The casting for the Sandman is amazing and I really hope the show gets a season 2.

Mason is literally beautiful. Like there is no way to say they aren’t. When it comes to beauty standards, they have everything. Symmetrical face, beautiful eyes, amazing voice, perfect nose and everything is aligned so perfectly. They casted literally the most perfect human on the planet to play desire and I can’t say there could’ve been anyone else, that could have done a better job.
Not gonna lie, the first time i saw Desire was in a trailer and i was so confused. The process between my eyes and ears were buffering. Then i realized it is what i think it is. From the tattoo I'll assume genderfluid? Dunno. My point is, Mason is absolutely the best casting decision I've seen in any show when it comes to inclusivity. I didn't feel like a box was being ticked. More like Mason belonged there.
You like the make up. It's how many societies "feminize" the female gender for further objectification. It doesn't make you gay. The actor looks beautiful.

I felt like the show went boring after ep 4 or so I really liked the first like 3 eps soo much though where I was really impressed and then it went like 360 sometime around the stuck in the diner EP I was so bored and I was not expecting that usually if I start liking something esp that much I like it the whole way 😅
those two were great casting. can't say that about Rose Walker though. Horrible stilted performance. but then again she wasn't cast because she was the best for the part. They had check boxes to fill.

Maybe you're talking about her more "mature" and "adult" characterization than that of the comics which is "teenager", more youthful but this is due to the script and the direction Gaiman and the writers wanted to give to this adaptation of the character and more on the same page of the actress' age and appearance. But certainly Kirby's performance is not lackluster. The audible adaption was meant to be a 1:1 transposition of the comic on that medium, so Kat Dannings' Death is as "youthful" as in the comics.
I would be SO upset if Netflix , that keeps barging my recommendations with the latest 365 days BS, does not renew Sandman for season 2.
